Abstract
SE TRATA DE UN DISPOSITIVO QUE PERMITE LA ADMINISTRACION DE UN FLUIDO TOXICO. COMPRENDE UN DISPOSITIVO DE TRANSFUSION (10) QUE SE PUEDE CONECTAR A UNA BOLSA DE TRANSFUSION. ESTE DISPOSITIVO DE TRANSFUSION ESTA PROVISTO DE UN ELEMENTO DE INSERCION (11) PARA CONECTAR LA BOLSA, Y UNA CAMARA DE TRANSFUSION (12) PARA DOSIFICAR UN FLUJO DE FLUIDO A TRAVES DE UN CONDUCTO DE FLUJO (13) EN EL ELEMENTO DE INSERCION A PARTIR DE LA BOLSA HASTA UNA SALIDA DISPUESTA EN LA CAMARA. Description
Aparato para administrar un fluido tóxico.
La presente invención se refiere a un dispositivo
para administrar un fluido tóxico, que comprende un dispositivo de
infusión para conexión a una bolsa de infusión, dispositivo de
infusión que está provisto de una porción de inserción para conectar
a la bolsa, y una cámara de infusión para dosificar un flujo de
fluido a través de un conducto de flujo en la porción de inserción
desde la bolsa hasta una salida dispuesta sobre la cámara, porción
de inserción que comprende, también, un conducto de ventilación que
se extiende entre la bolsa y el exterior del dispositivo de infusión
y finaliza en una conexión dispuesta en el lado del dispositivo de
infusión para suministrar el fluido a administrar.
Un dispositivo según el preámbulo de la
reivindicación 1 se conoce del documento
DE-A-2 206 908.
En asistencia médica, se trata con fluidos
altamente tóxicos, por ejemplo, medicamentos citotóxicos o
antibióticos antivirales. Cada descarga de tales fluidos conlleva
riesgos sanitarios para el personal y los pacientes. Se debería usar
siempre equipo protector cuando se manipulan tales fluidos, por
ejemplo, vitrinas de gases, guantes y prendas de vestir
protectoras.
Un sistema con membranas dobles penetrables se
describe en el documento
SE-B-434.700, sistema que facilita
la preparación y la administración de un fluido tóxico sin que entre
en contacto con el aire respirable. Sin embargo, todavía existen
inconvenientes cuando se administra a un paciente a través de
infusión, por lo que se podría soltar un inyector conectado a la
conexión cónica de una bolsa de infusión de tipo estándar, bajo
ciertas circunstancias. En tal caso, se penetran ambas membranas, de
manera que puede tener lugar la descarga al aire respirable.
El fin de la presente invención es conseguir una
conexión de inyector para suministrar medicamentos a una bolsa de
infusión de tipo estándar, conexión que elimina el riesgo de que el
medicamento entre en contacto con el aire respirable.
Según la invención, esto se consigue al proveer a
la conexión de al menos una membrana, que es hermética al aire y
penetrable por una aguja de inyección.
La invención se describirá en lo que sigue
haciendo referencia a la realización, que se presenta en el dibujo
adjunto, que muestra esquemáticamente un dispositivo de infusión
según la invención.
La figura muestra un dispositivo de infusión 10
para conectar a una bolsa de infusión, que no se muestra. El
dispositivo de infusión comprende una porción de inserción 11 para
conectar a la bolsa y una cámara de infusión 12 que, de manera
conocida, facilita la dosificación de un flujo de fluido a través de
la cámara.
La porción de inserción 11 comprende también, por
un lado, un conducto 13 de flujo, que se extiende desde la bolsa
hacia dentro de la cámara 12 y, por otro lado, un conducto de
ventilación 14, que hace posible obtener un suministro controlable
de aire a la bolsa, de manera que el fluido de infusión se puede
evacuar de la bolsa de modo controlado. Para este fin, el conducto
de ventilación 14 es perpendicular a y finaliza en una conexión luer
15, que se puede usar para montar un dispositivo de encaje ajustable
para el suministro de aire a la bolsa.
Una conexión 16 con cazoleta de bayoneta para un
inyector, que no se muestra, está montada en el exterior de la
conexión luer 15, por ejemplo, usando un pegamento de cianoacrilato.
La conexión 16 está provista de una membrana 17, que es penetrable
por una aguja de inyección y que se vuelve a sellar cuando se está
retirando la aguja. La silicona es un material adecuado para la
membrana.
Cuando se administra a través de una infusión con
el dispositivo de infusión según la invención, el dispositivo de
infusión se conecta primero, normalmente, a una bolsa con un fluido
de infusión. La cámara de infusión y el tubo se llenan, después de
eso, con un fluido de infusión. Un inyector (no mostrado), con una
cazoleta de bayoneta correspondiente que está cargado con el
medicamento a administrar y con una aguja de infusión conectada al
mismo, está montado en la conexión 16. La aguja del inyector se usa
ahora para penetrar la membrana del inyector desde el mismo hasta la
bolsa a través del conducto de ventilación 14. Después de eso, la
aguja del inyector se retira a través de ambas membranas, de manera
que se puede desmontar el inyector. La infusión se puede comenzar
ahora después de mezclar los contenidos de la bolsa.
La invención no está limitada a la realización
anteriormente descrita. Por ejemplo, la conexión 16 descrita con
anterioridad provista de membrana puede estar conectada a un
recipiente de un material flexible, tal como una bolsa, que se puede
usar como un recipiente de aire, o para recibir fluido en
exceso.
Claims (1)
1. Dispositivo para administrar un fluido tóxico,
que comprende un dispositivo de infusión (10) para conexión a una
bolsa de infusión, dispositivo de infusión que está provisto de una
porción de inserción (11) para conectar a la bolsa, y una cámara de
infusión (12) para dosificar un flujo de fluido a través de un
conducto (13) de flujo en la porción de inserción desde la bolsa
hasta una salida dispuesta sobre la cámara, porción de inserción que
comprende, también, un conducto de ventilación (14) que se extiende
entre la bolsa y el exterior del dispositivo de infusión y finaliza
en una conexión (16) dispuesta en el lado del dispositivo de
infusión para suministrar el fluido a administrar,
caracterizado porque la conexión está provista de al menos
una membrana (17), que es hermética al aire y penetrable por una
aguja de inyección.
