  • the sheet material passes through the dispensing unit 8 where the particulate add-on material is added to the crimped sheet material 2.
  • the particulate matter may be dispensed into the grooves crimped into the sheet material 2 by the crests 711 or 701 of the rollers 71 or 70, or into the recesses, respectively.
  • the sheet material to which the particulate material has been added may then be drawn through a converging funnel to form a rod of compressed sheet material containing the particulate matter.
  • This rod of compressed sheet material can then be processed by a filter making apparatus in the conventional manner.

Claims (14)

  1. Appareil pour fournir une bande continue de matériau en feuille crêpée (2) à un dispositif de formation de tige pour la production de filtres pour des articles à fumer, l'appareil comprenant
    - une unité d'enroulement (3) pour dérouler le matériau en feuille d'une bobine (21) sur laquelle le matériau en feuille (2) est fourni ;
    - une unité de crêpage (7) pour le crêpage du matériau en feuille,
    - une unité de distribution (8) disposée en aval de l'unité de crêpage (7) lorsqu'elle est affichée dans la direction de transport du matériau en feuille, et en amont du dispositif de formage de tige vers lequel le matériau en feuille crêpée est fourni,
    caractérisé en ce que l'unité de distribution (8) est configurée pour l'ajout d'une quantité variable de matériau d'ajout particulaire au matériau en feuille pour varier la résistance à l'aspiration d'un filtre final à être produit à partir du matériau en feuille, et en ce que l'appareil comprend en outre une unité de commande (9) pour contrôler les différentes unités de l'appareil en réponse aux signaux de capteur reçus des unités respectives.
  2. Appareil selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'unité de crêpage (7) comprend une première paire de rouleaux de crêpage (700) pour l'engagement et le crêpage de la bande continue de matériau en feuille (2) étant transportée entre eux, les rouleaux de crêpage (700) ayant une surface étant fournie avec des moyens (701, 702) adaptés pour le crêpage du matériau en feuille (2) dans la direction de transport du matériau en feuille (2).
  3. Appareil selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'unité de crêpage (7) comprend une deuxième paire de rouleaux de crêpage (710) pour l'engagement et le crêpage de la bande continue de matériau en feuille (2) étant transportée entre eux, les rouleaux de crêpage (710) ayant une surface fournie avec des moyens (711, 712) adaptés pour le crêpage du matériau en feuille (2) dans une direction transversal vers la direction de transport du matériau en feuille (2).
  4. Appareil selon la revendication 2 et la revendication 3, dans lequel l'unité de crêpage comprend la première paire de rouleaux de crêpage (700) ayant une surface fournie avec des moyens (701, 702) adaptés pour le crêpage du matériau en feuille (2) dans une direction longitudinale par rapport à la direction de transport du matériau en feuille (2), et la deuxième paire de rouleaux de crêpage (711) ayant une surface fournie avec des moyens (711, 712) adaptés pour le crêpage du matériau en feuille (2) dans une direction transversale vers la direction de transport du matériau en feuille (2).
  5. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre une unité de coupe (5) pour couper la bande continue de matériau en feuille (2) à une largeur prédéterminée, l'unité de coupe (5) étant disposée en amont de l'unité de crêpage (7) lorsqu'elle est affichée dans la direction de transport du matériau en feuille (2).
  6. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel l'unité d'enroulement (3) comprend un moteur (30) pour piloter la bobine (21) sur laquelle le matériau en feuille est fourni et un frein (31), l'unité de commande (9) contrôlant le moteur (30) et le frein (31) de manière à empêcher la rupture de la bande continue de matériau en feuille.
  7. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre une unité de tension (4) comprenant un actionneur contrôlé (40) pour l'application et la tenue d'une tension prédéterminée sur le matériau en feuille (2) pendant le transport du matériau en feuille (2) à travers l'appareil.
  8. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre une unité d'adoucissement (6) pour adoucir le matériau en feuille (2) à être crêpé, l'unité d'adoucissement (6) étant disposée en amont de l'unité de crêpage (7) lorsqu'elle est affichée dans la direction de transport du matériau en feuille (2).
  9. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le matériau en feuille est un de papier, plastique, métal ou un stratifié d'au moins deux de papier, plastique et métal.
  10. Procédé pour fournir une bande continue de matériau en feuille crêpée (2) à un dispositif de formation de tiges pour la production de filtres pour des articles à fumer, le procédé comprenant les étapes
    - d'enroulement du matériau en feuille (2) à partir d'une bobine (21) sur laquelle le matériau en feuille est stocké ;
    - de transport du matériau en feuille (2) sur une unité de crêpage (7) ;
    - de crêpage du matériau en feuille (2) ;
    - d'ajout d'un matériau d'ajout particulaire au matériau en feuille (2), dans lequel en variant une quantité de matériau d'ajout particulaire ajouté au matériau en feuille, une résistance à l'aspiration d'un filtre final à être produit à partir du matériau en feuille est variée ;
    - de fourniture du matériau en feuille crêpée au dispositif de formage de tige,
    dans lequel l'ajout du matériau d'ajout au matériau en feuille est effectué après le crêpage du matériau en feuille (2) et avant de fournir le matériau en feuille crêpée au dispositif de formage de tiges.
  11. Procédé selon la revendication 10, dans lequel l'étape d'ajout d'un matériau particulaire comprend l'ajout de particules de carbone.
  12. Procédé selon les revendications 10 ou 11, comprenant en outre l'étape de coupe du matériau en feuille (2) à une largeur prédéterminée, dans lequel la découpe du matériau en feuille (2) à une largeur prédéterminée est effectuée avant du crêpage du matériau en feuille (2).
  13. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 10 à 12, comprenant en outre l'étape de coupe du matériau en feuille (2) à une largeur prédéterminée, dans lequel en variant la largeur, la résistance à l'aspiration d'un filtre final à être produit à partir du matériau en feuille est variée.
  14. Utilisation de l'appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9 et du procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 10 à 13 pour l'utilisation dans la fabrication d'articles à fumer.
