Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a sheet-discharging apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press.
  • Patent Citation 1 Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 2002-234654
  • the sheet-discharging apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press disclosed in Patent Citation 1 is provided with a fan device having a plurality of blast fans above a sheet-discharging table.
  • Each blast fan is suspended and supported by a suspending bar extending between frames via a specific bracket having a thickness in the direction of height (vertical direction). Therefore, the dimension of the fan device in the direction of height is increased, so that there arises a problem that the fan device is upsized, and hence visibility of an operator (personnel) is blocked.
  • the bracket has a complicated shape, dust such as paper flour or powder accumulated on the upper surface of the bracket cannot be removed easily, so that there is also a problem that the cleaning operation of the fan device cannot be carried out easily.
  • the bracket to which the blast fan is attached is firmly fixed to the suspending bar via, for example, a fastening member such as a bolt & nut, there arises a problem that the blast fan cannot be shifted easily and quickly to desired positions according to the size or the material of the sheet to be printed, so that it requires long time for an adjustment work.
  • a sheet-discharging apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press includes a fan device having a plurality of blast fans provided above a sheet-stacking position where sheet fed from a printing apparatus are stacked for providing a downward flow and a frame for mounting the blast fans, in which at least some of the plurality of blast fans are arranged in contact with the lower surface of a frame body corresponding to elongated openings formed on the thin-plate shaped frame body which constitutes the frame, and are slidable in the feeding direction and/or in the widthwise direction with respect to the frame body.
  • the blast fans are directly attached to the frame body so that the upper surfaces of flange portions formed into an annular (doughnut) shape at upper ends of the blast fans and the lower surface of the frame body come into abutment with each other, the dimension of the fan device in the height direction may be reduced to the substantially same dimension as the thickness of the blast fan, so that the fan device is downsized, and the visible range of the operator (personnel) of the sheet-discharging device may be widened, thereby improving the visibility.
  • the upper surface of the frame body may be formed into a shape having less concavo-convex, which facilitates cleaning, dust such as paper flour or powder accumulated on the upper surface of the frame body may be removed easily, and hence the cleaning work of the fan device may be simplified, whereby the working time required for the cleaning operation may be reduced.
  • the structure of the fan device is simplified (that is, the fan device includes the blast fans and the frame as main elements), the number of components is reduced, and the manufacturing cost is also reduced.
  • the blast fans arranged corresponding to the elongated openings are configured to be slidable in the feeding direction and/or in the widthwise direction, the blast fans may be shifted easily and quickly to desired positions according to the size or the material of the sheet to be printed, so that an optimal flow suitable for the size or the material of the sheet is applied to the sheet.
  • partitioning panels formed into an endless ring are provided so as to project upward from the upper surface of the frame body along the peripheries of the openings.
  • the dust such as paper flour or powder accumulated on the upper surface of the frame body is prevented from dropping downward (that is, toward the sheets stacked on the paper discharge table) through the openings by the outer peripheral surfaces (radially outer surfaces) of the partitioning panels, and hence the upper surface of the sheets stacked on the sheet-discharging table may be maintained in a clean state, and the sheets are prevented from becoming damaged, and hence the quality of the printed materials is improved.
  • a shifting mechanism which shifts the plurality of blast fans which are slidable in the feeding direction and/or the widthwise direction automatically with respect to the frame body is provided.
  • the blast fans arranged corresponding to the elongated openings may be slid automatically in the feeding direction and/or the widthwise direction, automation of the apparatus is achieved, and the blast fans may be shifted easily and quickly to the optimal positions according to the size or the material of the sheet to be printed.
  • the sheet-fed printing press in the present invention includes the sheet-discharging apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press as described above. According to the sheet-fed printing press, since the sheet-discharging apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press in which the fan device is downsized and visibility of the operator (personnel) of the sheet-discharging device is improved is provided, the entire sheet-fed printing press is downsized, and the safety of the operator is also improved. Furthermore, since the sheet-discharging apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press in which the cleaning operation of the fan device is simplified and the working time required for the cleaning operation is reduced, the maintenance and inspection work is facilitated so that time and cost required for the maintenance and inspection work are reduced.
  • the sheet-discharging apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press in which the structure of the fan device is simplified, the number of components is reduced and the manufacturing cost is reduced is provided, the manufacturing cost of the entire sheet-fed printing press is reduced. Furthermore, since the sheet-discharging apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press in which the blast fans arranged corresponding to the elongated openings may be shifted easily and quickly to desired positions according to the size or the material of the sheet to be printed to provide the sheet with an optimal flow suitable for the size or the material of the sheet is provided, the sheet is prevented from becoming damaged and hence the quality of the printing materials is improved.
  • the fan device is downsized, the visibility of the operator is improved, the cleaning operation of the fan device is facilitated, and the blast fans may be shifted easily and quickly to desired positions according to the size or the material of the sheet to be printed.
