Claims (14)

  1. Produit alimentaire comprenant 40 % à 50 % en poids de glucides, 25 % à 40 % en poids de protéines et 1 % à 25 % en poids de matières grasses ; comprenant 15 % à 50 % de céréales, 1 % à 30 % d'un amidon ayant un rapport de l'amylose à l'amylopectine d'au moins 40:60, et 5 % à 30 % d'amidons prégélifiés comprenant au moins 2500 motifs glucose, le produit alimentaire ayant une masse volumique apparente inférieure à environ 240 kg/m3 (environ 15 lb/ft3).

  4. Produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel
    l'amidon ayant un rapport de l'amylose à l'amylopectine d'au moins 40:60 est l'amidon de maïs ;
    l'amidon comprenant au moins 2500 motifs glucose est l'amidon de manioc ; et
    le produit alimentaire comprend en outre de la maltodextrine.
  5. Produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, qui comprend un ingrédient fonctionnel.
  6. Produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la matière grasse est pulvérisée sous forme d'un enrobage.
  7. Produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant un agent chimique pour conférer des propriétés avantageuses pour la santé dentaire.
  8. Produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel une bouillie est formée lors de l'addition du produit alimentaire à un liquide.
  9. Produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, le produit alimentaire fournissant au moins 90 % de la nutrition requise par l'animal domestique.
  10. Produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, destiné à être utilisé dans une méthode pour maîtriser le poids d'un animal de compagnie, méthode comprenant l'étape consistant à nourrir l'animal de compagnie avec un produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes.
  11. Produit alimentaire suivant la revendication 10, la méthode comprenant en outre l'étape consistant à fournir à l'animal de compagnie un aliment classique pour animaux de compagnie, l'aliment classique pour animaux de compagnie étant fourni à l'état mélangé au produit alimentaire pour animaux de compagnie ; ou bien à titre de remplacement du produit alimentaire pour animaux de compagnie de l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 10.
  12. Produit alimentaire suivant la revendication 10 ou la revendication 11, dans lequel l'étape de nourrissage comprend le remplacement d'un volume de l'aliment classique pour animaux de compagnie utilisé auparavant pour nourrir l'animal de compagnie par un volume égal du produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9, ce qui réduit l'apport calorique pour l'animal de compagnie.
  13. Produit alimentaire suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 10 à 12, l'étape de nourrissage comprenant le nourrissage avec le produit alimentaire à basse teneur en énergie utilisé comme un en-cas.
  14. Procédé pour la préparation d'un produit alimentaire suivant la revendication 1, comprenant les étapes consistant :
    à combiner une source de glucides et une source de protéines, des vitamines et des substances minérales pour former un mélange, dans lequel la source de glucides comprend un amidon ayant un rapport de l'amylose à l'amylopectine d'au moins 40:60 ; et
    à extruder le mélange pour former un produit ayant une masse volumique apparente inférieure à environ 240 kg/m3 (environ 15 lb/ft3) ; la source de glucides comprenant également éventuellement un amidon ayant un rapport de l'amylose à l'amylopectine d'au moins 40:60.
