Definitions

  • the invention relates to an alpine ski with a ski body, which has a running surface on its underside and on its upper side at least one, in the longitudinal direction of the ski body extending and tensile and compressive forces receiving Obergurtelement has, which is supported with its ends on the ski body.
  • At one off DE 199 17 992 known alpine ski specified in the preamble of claim 1 has the built-in ski body Obergurtelement in the central region of the ski in the form of a flat, upwardly arched arc extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski and spans an underlying, arranged in the ski body Untergurtelement.
  • the bow of the upper chord member is in this case depending on the load of the ski binding in the direction of the ski body deflectable, and the Obergurtelement is supported at the end portions of the ski such that a resulting from the deflection of the sheet displacement of the ends of the upper chord member an increase in the supporting portion of End areas of the ski causes.
  • the invention has for its object to provide an alpine ski of the type mentioned, which is characterized by good running properties and good controllability.
  • the alpine ski according to the invention has on its upper side a support structure on which the Obergurtelement is mounted and which is formed of an elongated, flat member at intervals about substantially parallel, transverse to the longitudinal direction of the ski axes extending in alternating directions in each case at an angle bent to the tread, preferably wave-shaped.
  • the inventive design of the ski allows a favorable compromise between the one hand, desired bending elasticity and the other hand required torsional rigidity of the ski and allows an advantageous uniform surface pressure distribution. Leave by the undulating formation of the support structure the stated requirements can be achieved with a comparatively low construction weight. In addition, the ski can be produced inexpensively.
  • the support structure of the ski may advantageously consist of a fiber-plastic composite material or of a metal sheet or of a combination of the aforementioned materials.
  • the component forming the support structure can have a uniform wall thickness, but its wall thickness can also be uneven.
  • the width of the component and thus the support structure in the longitudinal direction of the ski vary.
  • an embodiment may be advantageous in which the support structure is formed from a plurality of adjacent components.
  • the individual components may have matching or different wave profile.
  • the wave profile of the individual components may also be arranged offset in the longitudinal direction of the ski against each other.
  • the overall height of the support structure preferably decreases starting from the ski center towards the ski ends. Also, the inclination angle of the individual waves of the support structure may decrease from the ski center, starting towards the ski ends, but it may also be consistent over the length of the ski.
  • the upper belt element preferably consists of one or more rods or tubes, in particular with a round cross section, and is made of high-strength material, in particular of an aluminum-titanium alloy, of glass or carbon fiber fabric or of a combination of these materials.
  • the support structure For storage of the upper belt element according to a further proposal of the invention, the support structure at a distance from the ski body openings or recesses, in which the Obergurtelement is arranged.
  • the upper belt member In the openings or recesses of the support structure, the upper belt member is preferably slidably mounted.
  • the ski body in the ski according to the invention fulfills the object of a tension-absorbing lower belt. Due to its inherent rigidity and elasticity, it contributes to the absorption of bending and torsional forces.
  • the ski body is preferably designed as a sandwich construction and may consist of fiber-plastic composite material and / or high-strength metal sheets and / or wood inserts.
  • the height the ski body is preferably small, in particular smaller than the overall height of the support structure.
  • connection between the support structure and the ski body can be made by adhesive or cohesive means and / or by mechanical means such as screws, rivets or the like.
  • the support structure On its upper side, the support structure may be completely or partially covered by a thin-walled, plate-shaped element. It may also include a box-shaped shell, which is attached to the ski body, the support structure including Obergurtelement enclose.
  • a holder is mounted on the upper side of the alpine ski according to the invention, which is designed so that the introduction of force by the skier takes place mainly on the Obergurtelement.
  • the holder can be attached to the upper belt element and additionally guided on the support structure.
  • Another advantageous design may provide that the holder is attached to the support structure yielding or movable and supported on the Obergurtelement.
  • the alpine ski shown has a ski body 1, which has a tread 2, a front end 3 with an upwardly bent tip 4 and a rear end 5.
  • the ski body 1 has the shape of an elongated, flat and narrow plate which is slightly bent in the longitudinal direction so that the tread 2 has a concave curvature.
  • the ski body 1 is composed in sandwich construction of several elements and / or layers which are adhesively and / or positively connected to each other.
  • a support structure 6 is arranged, which extends from one to the other end of the ski body 1.
  • the support structure 6 consists of a thin-walled component 7 which essentially has the width of the ski body 1.
  • the component 7 has a waveform which is formed by alternating curvature around transverse to its longitudinal direction, substantially parallel axes of curvature.
  • the component 7 is preferably made of a composite material of plastic and a fabric of high-strength fibers with different direction of the fiber flow. The material thickness of the component 7 can vary between stronger and weaker loaded zones.
  • the support structure 6 lies with the lower shaft portions directly on the ski body 1 and is there preferably adhesively or mechanically attached to the ski body 1.
  • the upper, opposite the surface of the ski body 1 raised wave portions of the support structure 6 are provided at a distance from the ski body 1 with through openings 8.
  • two pressure struts 9 are mounted at a distance next to each other, which form a Obergurtelement 10.
  • the pressure struts 9, which are preferably designed as round tubes, are arranged symmetrically to the median plane of the alpine skis. Their ends are held at the ends 3, 5 of the ski body 1 and supported in the longitudinal direction by means of elastic supports 12, 13 on the ski body 1.
  • the elastic supports 12, 13 may be formed as shock-absorbing devices.
  • the distance between the pressure struts 9 and the ski body 1 is greatest in the ski center and decreases continuously to the ski ends. The same applies to the overall height of the support structure 6, which also decreases from the ski center to the ski ends.
  • the support structure 6 is covered in its middle region with a thin-walled plate 11.
  • the plate 11 is adhesive and / or by positive locking means, e.g. Screws connected to the support structure 6.
  • the plate 11 may serve as well as the support structure 6 for fixing a ski binding or a binding support plate.
  • FIG. 3 shows an embodiment in which the support structure 6 and the upper chord member 10 are surrounded by a box-shaped shell 14.
  • the shell 10 is attached to the ski body 1 and has a dimensionally stable surface.
  • the spaces between the support structure 6, the ski body 1 and the upper belt member 10 are filled with an elastically yielding material, such as a plastic foam.
  • the alpine ski described is characterized by particularly favorable running properties. This is achieved by a favorable relationship between flexural elasticity and torsional stiffness, so that the ski is able to adapt well to piste bumps, but at the same time ensures an edge pressure distribution which, in particular when using the carving technique, allows the ski to be installed as required to control the edge. Furthermore, the inventive design contributes to a favorable damping behavior, so that vibrations of the ski ends can be effectively prevented.
