Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a printed product according to the preamble of patent claim 1 and a device operable to carry out such methods.
This approach is aimed in particular at protecting human body parts from staple injuries.

No. 5,678,813 A discloses a method by which printed products are produced from printed products and the staples are passed through from the folded inner edge to the outside. At the Falzaussenkante protruding clamp closures are covered by a glued envelope.

In an alternative procedure of this method, a printed product stapled from the outside to the inside is produced with a print product stapled from the inside to the outside by gluing their folds to produce a printed product whose staple caps are thereby concealed.

Although the attached at the Falzaussenkante envelope of a stapled from the inside out print product takes over a protective function against injury, it is so heavily used in the use of a printed product that it dissolves after a certain time from the Falzaussenkante and thereby loses the protective effect.

The method according to the preamble of claim 1 are in the JP-9-193564 specified.

The object of the invention is to provide a stapled from the Falzaussenkante inwardly printed product, which has a compact stapling with covered staple closure.

According to the invention, this object is solved by the features of patent claim 1 and patent claim 7, respectively.

Advantageously, the printed product and the printed sheet are brought together on a further conveying section of the conveying path, so that a continuous processing is obtained, in which the printed product and the printed sheet meet isochronously.

It proves to be advantageous if the sheet is glued on the way to unification with the stapled printed product at the Falzaussenkante, in which, for example, the conveying movement of the sheet is used.

Alternatively, the stitched printed product may be glued to the seam on the way to unite with the signature.

Of course, the unified printed product and printed sheet on a subsequent conveyor section of the conveyor line on the Falzaussenkante be supplied to a cover sheet, which is attached with the combined printed product and printed sheet at their common Falzaussenkante example, sticky.

Preferably, the printed product for unification with the printing sheet is transported open by the first conveying section of the conveying path or reopened on the transfer path, so that it can be deposited smoothly and precisely on the printed sheet.

In a device for carrying out the inventive method, which consists of a first conveyor section having a saddle-like support on a conveyor section, on which conveyor section printed sheets stapled to printed products and then be removed, the stapled printed products are erfindungsegemäss means of revolving intermediate conveyor of the first conveyor section of the conveyor and open on one on a saddle-shaped support having, downstream further conveyor section of the conveyor line transported sheet deductible, wherein a means for gluing the outer edge of the sheet or the inner edge of the printed products is provided.

It is advantageous if a gluing device provided for gluing the folded outer edge of the printing sheet is arranged in the conveying direction before the settling point of the stapled printed product at the further conveying section of the conveying path, so that the conveying movement of the printed sheet can be used for the glue application.

Conveniently, the glueing device is a feeder for printed sheets, for example a folder feeder connected upstream.

The intermediate conveyor is designed as Takttransporteur attached to endless traction means at intervals, controllable in an opening or closing position grippers and connects the sampling point on the first conveyor section of the conveyor line with the settling point on the other conveyor section of the conveyor line, and thus allows a simple design, the intermediate conveyor according to the invention has a rising after a transfer point of the printed product at the first conveyor section and a section sinking down to the Absetzbereich of the printed product section, followed by a with the further conveyor section approximately parallel extending settling adjoins.

Particularly suitable for the intermediate conveyor and the further conveyor section of the conveyor line proves a drehwinkelsteuerbarer motor for driving.

Advantageously, the sheet is designed as a poster, without leaving marks from the printed product resp. can be removed from the printed product.

Subsequently, the invention with reference to the drawing, to which reference is expressly made with respect to all unspecified details in the description, explained using an exemplary embodiment. In the drawing shows the
single figure shows a processing scheme with an embodiment of the inventive device.

The sole FIGURE shows a plant for producing a printed product consisting of a printed product stapled inwardly at the seam leading edge, where arrow F indicates the processing direction.
The processing begins with a saddle stitcher 1, which along a first conveying section 11 of a conveyor line investors 2, 3, the printed sheets 4, 5 astride an endlessly circulating collecting chain 6, are attached to which at regular intervals driver 7. These push the collected printed sheets 4, 5 as a printed product 8 in a stitching station 9, in which the printed products 8 are stapled by wire sections at the Falzaussenkante 10 inward. The first conveyor section 11 can also be operated as a traditional saddle stitcher 1, for which purpose a display 12 is provided, on which the stapled printed products 8 are lifted off the gathering chain 6. Displays are used to remove the printed products 8 also on the gathering chain, by lifting a printed product and detecting the latter in the fold area.
In the embodiment according to the invention, the stapled printed products 8 are taken over by an intermediate conveyor 13 at the delivery end of the first conveyor section 11. This is according to the invention designed as a clock conveyor with at regular intervals on an endlessly circulating traction means 14 fastened openable and closable brackets 15. These capture the stapled printed product 8, after it has been previously raised on the gathering chain 6, and transport it in the direction of arrow F 'to another conveyor section 16. This in turn has a saddle-shaped pad on which the stapled printed product 8 is discontinued after has reached the setting-down position "where there is already a supplied printed sheet 17 which is to be combined with the printed product 8. The printed product 8 taken over by the first conveying section 11 can be transported on a guide 18 in the open state to the further conveying section 16 or before reaching The intermediate conveyor 13 has a section 19 rising after a takeover point of the printed product 8 at the first conveying section 11 and a section 20 sinking towards the setting region of the printed product 8.

At the sinking portion 20 of the intermediate conveyor 13 includes a with the other conveyor section 16 approximately parallel extending settling area 21 at. The opening and closing of the brackets 15 takes place mechanically or electromechanically, as known.

The feeding of a printing sheet 17 is carried out on an extension region 22 preceding the further conveying section 16 in the conveying direction. For this purpose, the embodiment according to the single figure provides a (known) investors resp. Falzanleger 23 ago, which feeds the extension portion 22 with sheet 17. The latter happen astride a glue application station 24, which glues the Falzaussenkante 10 of the sheet 17 before he reaches the Absetzbereich on which the printed product 8 is then placed on the sheet 17.
In a further step, the printed product 8 is pressed against the printed sheet 17 in a contact pressure station 25 on the saddle-shaped conveying path.

The resulting printed product 26 could be glued in turn on the way to the Falzaussenkante and provided with a cover sheet 27.
As was the case with the first one, the further conveyor section 16 could also be designed as a separate saddle stitcher in the manner of arrangement shown, and both could be used according to the so-called tandem principle.

On the other hand, the conveying sections 11, 16 could be connected by a continuous gathering chain 28.
