Definitions
- the invention relates to a sheet-fed rotary printing press with printing units for multicolor printing and at least one coating unit according to the preamble of the main claim.
- a sheet-fed rotary printing machine of this type is known from EP 0 620 115 B1.
- At least two coating units are provided for inline coating of printing materials.
- the coating unit arranged upstream in the sheet running direction is a flexographic printing unit with a forme cylinder carrying a high-pressure form and in contact with the sheet-guiding printing cylinder, a rastered application roller for inking (coating) and an adjustable chamber doctor blade, which is equipped with a feed pump for coating liquid supply and a suction pump for coating liquid return is connected.
- the disadvantage here is that the print form on the forme cylinder must be exchanged for renewed coating jobs and, if necessary, the original anilox roller must be exchanged for an anilox roller with a different scooping volume.
- the change of the printing form is time-consuming to do manually as well as automatically and the changeover also results in downtimes on the printing machine.
- DE 195 03 951 A1 describes a method and a device for gravure printing known.
- the depressions (cups) of an intaglio printing blank are as Basic grid evenly using a liquefiable substance through a Application device can be filled, then the substance material is by means of an image a pixel transfer device can be removed from the wells and so rotogravure form, which is screened in an image, can be colored by means of a coloring system then be able to print in gravure.
- the gravure form can be regenerated to the gravure blank and the recesses are then again fillable.
- the invention has for its object to provide a sheet-fed rotary printing machine of the type described above, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned, which, with its printing units and in particular with at least one coating unit, in which a printing form change is no longer necessary, can be used more universally and the makeready times are noticeably reduced.
- the object is achieved by the training features of claims 1 and 9. Further developments result from the dependent claims.
- the solution according to the invention allows at least one inline coating to be applied to a printing material in addition to the creation of a multicolor print.
- the inline coating can be carried out as imagewise (subject-related), preferably inline imaging with an inline coating.
- the sheet-fed rotary printing press which is preferably controlled by means of a control station, has, in addition to the printing units, at least one coating unit which is formed at least from a sheet guide cylinder, a forme cylinder and a metering system with a rastered application roller as a gravure blank form or the form cylinder itself as a gravure blank form.
- the solution according to the invention permits inline coating in the coating unit and generation of the rotogravure form on the application roller or the forme cylinder outside the sheet-fed rotary printing press in a separate device.
- a separate device can also be arranged separately on or on a printing unit and / or coating unit.
- the change of the application roller or the forme cylinder between the coating unit and the separate device for producing the gravure form can be carried out manually or preferably by means of a handling system.
- this principle can be transferred to a printing unit for multi-color printing if this printing unit has a form cylinder as a gravure form (direct gravure) or an application roller as a gravure form (indirect gravure).
- the separate device for producing the rotogravure form can thus also be arranged on or on at least one printing unit for multicolor printing.
- the separate device for producing the rotogravure form can be arranged on the coating unit above it.
- An industrial robot for example, is assigned to the separate device as a handling system, which takes the applicator roller or the forme cylinder from the holders of the coating unit and feeds them to the separate device for producing the rotogravure form or returns them from the separate device to the respective holder.
- the separate device for producing the rotogravure form is also assigned a magazine as a roller / cylinder store. The handling system in turn removes the applicator roller or the forme cylinder from the holders and guides the applicator roller or the forme cylinder to the magazine or back from the magazine to the respective holder.
- the generation of the gravure form on the applicator roller or the forme cylinder can be achieved in the magazine by the separate device.
- the magazine can also be used as a roller / cylinder holder for the temporary storage of application roller and / or forme cylinder.
- the magazine can also be designed to hold several applicator rollers and / or form cylinders.
- the occupancy of the storage spaces (for rollers / cylinders) in the magazine and / or the activation of the handling system and the separate device for generating the rotogravure form can preferably be controlled from a coupled control station.
- the magazine also produces a roller / cylinder arrangement, as is required on the separate device for producing the gravure form and the storage position.
- Handling system, magazine and separate device are not limited to the assignment to a coating unit, but an arrangement of these modules can also be realized on or on, in particular above at least one printing unit.
- a metering roller assigned to the screened application roller (as a two-roll mill) and the coating liquid is in the nip thus formed fed.
- the screened application roller is a chambered doctor blade assigned, which with a circulation system for the coating liquid is coupled. After all, at least one is in a third training Bucket roller assigned to the screened application roller. From a storage container the coating liquid is scooped and conveyed to the nip.
- the screened applicator roller itself is designed as a low-pressure raw form with depressions (cups) and webs as a basic screen.
- this rastered application roller is at least of the same diameter or larger.
- the diameter of the application roller is preferably designed for an even-numbered part of a single-size forme cylinder, preferably for partially recurring print jobs.
- the forme cylinder has a coating which receives the coating liquid and preferably a cylinder channel.
- the rastered applicator roller has a flat curved surface in the roller shell in a circular segment of the partial circumference, this partial circumference being able to be implemented in two configurations.
- the partial circumference lying at the level of the upper edge of the web s a smooth surface (without basic grid) and in second training that is already described basic grid provided, which to achieve a flat surface is completely filled with a material.
- the screened application roller is an application device for Filling the recesses of the basic grid with a liquefiable substance, a removal device for imagewise (subject-related) removal of the substance from the wells of the basic grid and a regeneration device for Regenerate the rotogravure form back to the basic grid (rotogravure raw form) assigned.
- the coating unit for inline imaging and inline coating can be used.
- the rastered application roller is outside the coating unit by means of the above Regeneration facility, application facility and Removal device can be imaged according to the coating subject and then assigned to the coating unit, the forme cylinder and dosing system, used.
- a first advantage of the invention is based on the fact that changing the printing forms on the forme cylinder during inline imaging of the rasterized Applicator roller and subsequent inline coating in the coating unit is obsolete. This can shorten set-up times and the coating unit is more universal. Is the image of the rastered application roller outside the coating unit, it is particularly advantageous that the gravure form, can be generated without downtimes of the printing press, and then only an exchange or insertion of the application roller in the bearings the coating unit is required.
- the coating liquid in the case of imagewise coating, can be applied to the printing material in a format-related manner.
- the build-up of excess coating liquid on rollers or cylinders can thus be avoided.
- the desired illustration can be regenerated at any time. If the coating liquid builds up, for example in the case of rapidly curing coating liquids, it can be removed automatically. A possible hardening of the coating liquid on the screened application roller can thus be avoided by exposing the basic screen. Due to the pictorial coating, moreover, within a printing or. Coating subjects can achieve different gloss effects or degrees of gloss, for example by partially producing different layer thicknesses. Furthermore, for example, uniform, stepped and / or different coating thicknesses and partial coatings in the circumferential and transverse directions can be achieved.
- the coating unit permits the processing of different coating liquids, such as flexographic printing ink, pigment-containing effect printing ink and dispersion varnish, in particular coating liquids on an aqueous basis being used.

Description

Fig. 6 in nachstehenden Schritten.
