Definitions
- the invention relates to a protective cap for an aerosol can, the one with its rim firm but removable on one around the Spray valve circumferential bead of the spray can is attachable.
- Such a protective cap in the form of a cover cap for the Filling valve of an aerosol can is from DE-Gbm-1 890 195 known. There you have the cap around a small portion bottle to be able to fill from the aerosol can, a short guide assigned in the initial state by a breakable part is closed to the outside. After this This portion can break out of the portion bottle be pushed up into the guide until its filler neck is in contact with the valve of the large filling can and so the Bottling is achieved.
- a spray liquid from an elastic Plastic existing container in a portion bottle decant that the container is formed on the neck as a bellows over which a pumping effect is achieved and via a the hose line reaching to the bottom of the container Portion vials can be filled.
- a protective cap or an aerosol container under pressure is not provided there.
- Protective caps of the type mentioned are also for spray paint cans well known. They are also used for spray cans used to protect the spray valve, which is a two-component aerosol contain that only by admixing a Hardener component made ready for spraying becomes.
- the aerosol containing the hardener component also in a spray can, but with smaller dimensions contain and it must with the master paint aerosol if necessary be mixed in that the valve neck of the the smaller spray can containing the hardener component, which in the type of actuating pin of the usual spray head is in the valve insert of the containing the master paint Spray can part are used. That is the hardener component Aerosol containing is in the smaller spray can under a higher pressure and therefore flows during this transfer process into the aerosol spray can containing the base paint about.
- the hardener component is usually polyisocyanate, caused by improper handling during of the transfer process can also spray out sideways and to Injury to the user, especially if it is comes into contact with the eyes of the user.
- the present invention is based on the object Make the transfer process easier and safer.
- the aerosol can Part of a two-component paint spray can and the guide a receiving space for the smaller, the hardener component containing aerosol can forms up to the upper end wall the protective cap is sufficient, and that in the to the smaller aerosol can adjacent end wall a trigger part is provided, the inward force and can be pressed against the smaller aerosol can axially so far out of their receiving space that the transfer process of the hardener component under higher pressure into the two-component spray can.
- the smaller aerosol becomes a unit with the larger spray can and it's protected inside arranged the protective cap.
- the receiving space for the have smaller aerosol can guide ribs that from the Project the wall of the protective cap inwards and its inner edges clamp against the smaller aerosol can.
- the Dimensions of the protective cap and the guide can be so be chosen that the valve socket of the smaller aerosol can already lies on the seat of the spray valve of the spray can, if the smaller aerosol can in their recording room is held. Only by pressure from the outside on the release part the small aerosol can becomes axial within its guide moved until their valve stub into the valve of the Can containing master lacquer penetrates and the transfer process causes.
- the design of the new protective cap on the one hand given the certainty that the two were facing each other matching valve parts properly and without difficulty be brought together.
- the new protective cap therefore performs several functions. It serves in the usual way to protect the valve the spray can, it serves as a guide and a trigger for the Transfer process itself and it serves as protection during the transfer process.
- the trigger part can be a Actuating tab be formed, the predetermined breaking points is held in the plane of the end wall of the protective cap and lies against the bottom of the smaller aerosol can.
- This configuration can, especially if the protective cap in is known to be made of plastic, simple realize.
- the protective cap can also be used a recording for the one required after the transfer process Spray head can be provided, which in a simple manner from a exist in a side wall of the protective cap arranged opening can in which the spray head until final use of the prepared two-component paint aerosol mixture is used.
- Fig. 1 shows that a spray can 1 per se
- a protective cap 2 is placed on the Embodiment is made of plastic.
- This Protective cap 2 sits with an edge 3 on a bead 4 Spray can 1, the one around the spray valve 5 of the spray can 1 containing dome 6 revolves.
- Inside the protective cap 2 is a receiving space 7 for a cylindrical smaller aerosol can 8 formed, namely in that several guide ribs 9th are provided, which are approximately radial to the outer wall 2a of the Protective cap 2 protrude and with its inner edges parallel to Axis 10 of the spray can 1 run.
- These guide ribs 9 are designed in the embodiment so that they from one Stand out guide ring 11, which in turn by reinforcing ribs 12 is connected to the side walls 2a.
- the cylindrical smaller Aerosol can 8 held, for example, that the inner edges of the guide ribs 9 friction and press firmly onto the outer wall of the smaller aerosol can 8.
- the receiving space 7 is designed so that the small aerosol can 8 rests with its bottom 8a on the bottom 2d of the protective cap 2.
- the protective cap 2 is in the bottom 2b an insertion tab 13 is provided, which is circular can be and in their position shown in FIG Predetermined breaking points, for example small connecting webs, is aligned with the bottom 2b of the protective cap 2.
- Hardener component aerosol in the spray can 1 is the smaller aerosol can 8 in a known manner with a transfer valve nozzle 14 provided, which, as in particular Fig. 2nd shows, with its end in the insertion collar 15 of the no closer shown spray valve 5 reaches the spray can 1.
- the outlet nozzle is also known a spray head 16 placed on the spray valve 5 when the mixture contained in the spray can 1 after the transfer operation should be sprayed.
- the smaller Aerosol can 8 inside the protective cap 2 safely in one Position held in the refilling process in a simple manner can be caused by that on the actuating tab 13 a force in the sense of arrow 17 is exerted, so that the actuating tab 13 inwards and against the bottom 8a the aerosol can 8 can be pressed.
- This will make the aerosol can 8 in their leadership within the receiving space 7 axially pressed down to axis 10, with its transfer nozzle 14 the valve of the spray can 1 opens and the refilling process the one under higher pressure in the aerosol can 8
- Hardener component which is also in aerosol form, causes in the interior of the spray can 1.
- the guarantee for a flawless is evident Given overflow process and there is, because the protective cap 2nd does not need to be removed for the transfer process, also security against the fact that parts of the hardener component improper handling will leak out and cause injury of the user.
- the protective cap 2 When the refilling process is finished, the protective cap 2 is removed.
- the in an opening 21 in the side wall 2a of the Protective cap 2 inserted spray head 16 is removed inwards and for the then desired spraying process of the two-component paint mixture on the valve 5 of the spray can 1 put on.
- Fig. 3 shows a variant of the protective cap 2 ' insofar as here the guide ribs 9 'so far down are drawn with their lower ends to the lower Reach edge 18 of aerosol can 8 and there with inward facing Lugs 19 are provided, which obliquely to the edge 18th reach around section 20 of the aerosol can 8 and so in addition to the frictional forces of the guide ribs 9 ' also bring about a positive axial securing of the aerosol can 8.
