Definitions
- the invention relates to an auxiliary element for crutches according to the Preamble of claim 1.
- crutch users usually need at least one crutch, to move around.
- the crutch takes over Part of the supporting and supporting function of the neighboring leg and has a cross, usually to the front extending handle on which the crutch user firmly engages, as well as to stabilize the crutch movement guide leg running essentially parallel to the forearm, which is close to the elbow on both sides of the forearm extending forearm side guide elements ends.
- the guide leg is opposite the vertical part of the crutch mostly cranked and extends at an angle of a few Degrees backwards to handle the crutch too facilitate.
- crutches are by hanging on hanging loops in good hands after being in the user's gripping area be available.
- Hanging on usually sagging suspension eyes requires a one-handed use some skill after practicing the eyelet using the hook must be pulled up to secure hanging to ensure.
- sagging Hanging eyes for example, stiff hanging eyes from one use strong plastic tape that makes hanging easier, or without further ado a corresponding hole in one of the provide two forearm side guide elements, the one Allows hanging.
- Stiff suspension sockets are usually disturbingly wide from, so that they are unsatisfactory in terms of handling.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of an auxiliary element for crutches according to the preamble of claim 1 create the acceptance of the crutch and the self-sufficiency of the User further improved without handling disadvantages in Purchase would have to be taken.
- the measures according to the invention surprisingly enable one despite being extremely simple and inexpensive Realizability suddenly improved handling of the Crutches.
- the crutch user is by the carrier according to the invention able for the first time, even without outside help, for example in the great outdoors to release the crutches, without fear of not using it again to be able to if they fall over.
- the carrier according to the invention possible for both crutches in two-back users after the strap, for example, around the neck of the crutch user can run and the two crutches regularly the same Have weight so that they are on both ends of the carrier can be held without manual intervention needed.
- the carrier has elastic section.
- This elastic section allows the crutches to be handled freely against the spring force of the elastic section, which at the same time the Weight of the crutches compensated so that the crutches Crutch users appear lighter than they are when they are lifted are.
- the elastic section is preferably dimensioned such that a Travel arises, which in all cases for handling the crutches are enough.
- the spring force of the carrier can be selected in this way be that the crutches are at rest, i.e. without the User pushes them to the floor with their feet 5 cm from the floor hang away.
- the two-point suspension according to the invention two spaced-apart holding elements of the device for the crutch allows free, yet straight hanging, preferably a holding element in the area of the for Support of the forearm provided guide arm engages and there only the forearm side guide elements and that Handle is captively connected to the crutch.
- This Adjustment of the carrier causes a depression against the Effect of the elastic support section to the foot of the Crutch to come into contact with the ground.
- a connection between the carrier and one there manufacture the user's clothing e.g., a Velcro strip can be provided for this is easy to solve and the washability of the affected garment.
- This Connecting element allows to prevent the asymmetrical actuation of crutches at regular intervals Sideways movement of the wearer in the user's neck area that would be perceived as uncomfortable.
- the crutch user can now without he an external help like a way to lean on or
- the crutches should be hung up, the crutches free and at any time let go when he does something with his free hands would like, so there is a significant improvement not only manageability, but also safety and at the same time results in the availability of the crutches.
- An auxiliary element 10 is shown schematically in FIG. 1. It has a carrier 12 which is used for the suspension of 1 is shown crutches not shown.
- the carrier 12 has an elastic section 14 and one Band section 16, each band section 16 for the Arrangement of a suspension device 18 at the end of the carrier 12 is intended for the crutch.
- the elastic or stretchy Section 14 is much longer than the two band sections.
- the total length of the carrier 12 is preferably adjustable, with two in the illustrated embodiment Buckles 20 and 22 in a manner known per se in the elastic Section 14 are arranged. That the elastic Section 14 forming ribbon passes through eyelets 24 and 25, the are attached to the belt section 16. In the area below the buckles 20 and 22 runs the elastic band of the elastic section 14 twice, so that an adjustment of the Buckles 20 and 22 shorten or lengthen the effective length of the elastic section results.
- the suspension device 18 has two holding elements 26, 28, 30 and 32 on each band section 16.
- the lower holding elements 28 and 32 are - as is better shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 can be seen - destined for under the handle of the Crutch to wrap the crutch while holding the top holding elements 26 and 30 are intended for the guide leg of the Crutch, i.e. the area between the forearm side guide elements and the handle.
- the holding elements 26 to 32 are preferred as easily releasable but still securely closing Velcro fasteners, that the user needs, for example when replacing the crutches can easily open themselves.
- the elastic section 14 is in the illustrated embodiment designed as a continuous belt.
- a modified configuration it is provided that in the neck area 34 an enlarged edition is provided, which Width of the band increased and a more comfortable neck intake offers. This solution enables more convenient landtime wear the crutches.
- the spring constant of the elastic section 14 is wide Areas can be adapted to requirements.
- A is preferred Band with a progressive spring characteristic is used so that a slight stretching of the band by a small spring travel is easily possible.
- a suitable band has one Total length of at least 130 cm, including other lengths are possible as needed, and shows for example one Elongation of 20 cm with a force of 5 N, related to the unstretched state, while just before the maximum stretch, So when applying, for example, 50 N, the Elongation is only 2 cm per 5 N.
- Corresponding woven Ribbons have woven-in elastic fibers, the weave the stretch is limited in such a way that even with considerably larger ones Forces such as 300 N are not significant Stretching of the band takes place.
- the carrier 12 according to the invention can preferably be adjustable in length be, it being understood that a length adjustability is not essential after the carrier material anyway is elastic. It is convenient if different lengths for the band of the carrier, for example 130, 160 or 185 cm be kept ready, the smallest length also for Is suitable for children.
- Fig. 2 shows the Application for a single-user.
- the carrier just let it run over the neighboring shoulder, the loss certainty with this type of wearing something is reduced.
- the carrier 12 runs regularly around the neck or neck of the user, and the suspension device 18 holds a crutch 36 and 38 each.
- the preferred carrying height at this configuration is such that the handle 40 something above the user's hand 42 with the arm extended is worn so that the user against the Effect of the elastic portion 14 of the carrier 12 the Can support crutch 36 or 38 on the floor.
