Abstract

Beim Verfahren zur Vorhangbeschichtung eines bewegten Trägers mit photographischen Emulsionen wird die Giesslösung oberhalb der Giesserlippe (4) durch Seitenbegrenzungsplatten (2) derart geführt, dass deren beiden Ränder unter der Einwirkung der Oberflächenspannung an den Seiten der Seitenbegrenzungsplatten (2) nicht steigen.
Bei der Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens mit Giesserplatten (1) und einer bogenförmigen Giesserfrontplatte, die in die Giesserlippe (4) mündet und beidseitig angebrachten Seitenbegrenzungsplatten (2), weist die begrenzende Kante (25) der Seitenbegrenzungsplatten (2) eine Schneide (24) auf, dessen beiden Schenkel einen Winkel von 10 - 80°, vorzugsweise 60°, einschliessen.
Ein solches Verfahren und eine derartige Vorrichtung ermöglichen eine gleichmässige Beschichtung, ohne Schichtdickenfehler.
