Abstract

Beim Verfahren zur Vorhangbeschichtung eines bewegten Trägers mit photographischen Emulsionen wird dem geführten Vorhang (6) beidseitig ein Seitenfluss (10) zugeführt und beide Seiten des Vorhangs mittels Messer, deren Vorderkante (17) nach innen geneigt ist, abgeschnitten. Zwecks Vermeidung eines Randwulstes werden von der Vorderkante (16) des Messers (15) gestaute Teile der Giesslösung durch Oeffnungen (20) im Messer abgesaugt.
Bei der Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens mit je einem am unteren Ende der Seitenführung (7) angebrachten Messer (15), dessen Vorderkante (16) bezüglich der Innenseite der Seitenführung einen spitzen Winkel (α) einschliesst, ist an der Oberseite (17) jeden Messers (12) in der Seitenführung (7) ein Absaugschlitz (18) angeordnet, der mit einem Absaugkanal (19) verbunden ist, um die abgeschnittenen Seitenteile des Vorhangs (6) und des Seitenflusses (10) abzusaugen.
Ein solches Verfahren und eine derartige Vorrichtung ermöglichen eine gleichmässige Beschichtung, so dass keine Materialverluste oder Trocknungsprobleme auftreten.
