Definitions
- the present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for dynamic Leading flat products such as flat products by cross cutting of be cut off from a continuous web of material.
- Publication US 5,029,842 discloses a signature handling device that a first conveyor belt, the signatures successively to a removal station promoted. At the removal station, the signatures are turned on one by one Hand over the receiving conveyor. About the speed with which the signatures can move between the first conveyor belt and the receiving conveyor belt increase, the signatures have a wave formation consisting of stiffening one or more waves. Accordingly, the stiffening Signatures arranged at the removal station a wave forming device, the Signatures waves between the front and the extends the rear signature area. Although the wave formation of a signature is only temporary is, the wave forming device is so close to the receiving conveyor that a wave formation in the signature is retained during the front signature area moves towards the receiving conveyor. This means that the distance between the Wave forming device and the receiving conveyor belt is smaller than the distance between the front and back signature area.
- the publication US 5,107,733 discloses a device for cutting and Transporting a paper web in a folder of a printing press.
- the device comprises a pair of cutting cylinders to cut the web into web sections cut, and a transport device to the web sections from the Schrieid cylinder to be transported away.
- the first cutting cylinder has at least one cutting rail
- the second cutting cylinder is provided with at least one cutting knife attached to a gap formed between the cutting cylinders strikes the cutting rail, to cut the path passing through the gap. Both on the first and on A large number of strips are supported on the second cutting cylinder.
- the lasts are positioned on the cutting cylinders so that - when the gap passes - everyone Give the newly formed front web area a temporary stiffening profile.
- the front web area is provided with a stiffening profile to the front Supportive area, while this differs from that between the Cutting cylinders formed gap moved to the transport device.
- the Last is also on both the first and the second cutting cylinder supported at least one smoothing surface each. The smoothing surfaces are so on positioned the cutting cylinders that the temporary when passing through the gap Remove the stiffening profile from the front web areas.
- the signatures give way, especially in the case of pointless folders or specimens often along curved paths instead of a given straight one follow the path from the cutting cylinders to the conveyor belts. These deviations can lead to the fact that the distances between the supported signatures or Copies are different, resulting in a pointless folder Difficulties arise in the further processing of the signatures.
- Another disadvantage of existing cutting cylinders is related to Belt conveyance the fact that the leading edges of the signatures stick out. This Accidental opening of a leading edge of the signature can lead to processing jams or Damage to the product such as Cause dog ears or the like.
- Wave forming devices such as those disclosed in US 5,107,733 used. It is also proposed to use electrostatic staplers that seen upstream of the cutting cylinders to which during the Get control of problems that occur when signing. This However, solutions create new problems and do with a pointless folder the signature transfer area between cutting cylinders and conveyor belts into one very sensitive area.
- Another object of the present invention is to use during transportation the conveyor belts have a relatively constant distance between those of the web of material separate signatures.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide the leading edges of the Prevent signatures from opening during transport.
- a Device for transporting signatures in a folder at least two cooperating cutting cylinders, each cutting cylinder having at least one Cutting knife or is provided with a cutting rail, and a conveying plane, the extends substantially vertically in operation, a first conveyor arrangement and a second conveyor arrangement, the cooperating cutting cylinders in the paths of Conveyor elements of the first conveyor arrangement are integrated and the second Conveyor arrangement one web of material in front of the two interacting Cutting cylinder performed cutting process detected.
- Embodiments also refer to a method for transporting Signatures of a folder that gradually passes through a web of material transverse cutting plane by means of at least a first and a second Conveyor arrangement that conveys the material web both in an infeed area and detected in an outlet area of the transverse cutting plane and the detected Material web effectively feeds a finger-shaped guide seen downstream is arranged after the first and the second conveyor arrangement.
- Embodiments according to the present invention enable bilateral Guide the web before signatures in the cutting gap from the leading edge of the Material web are separated. Since longitudinally folded signatures are recorded and held together, the opening of signature leading edges is reduced and / or completely switched off. In addition, due to the fact that one of the Cutting gap up to an inlet gap of the conveyor belts through the area Conveying arrangements is bridged, a deviation from signature leading edges prevented and a constant distance between the successive signatures maintain.
- the conveyor elements either in any number in groups (e.g. in groups of two or three Conveyor elements) - each group of conveyor elements from the following Conveyor element group is spaced - and / or on the paths of the conveyor arrangements be arranged individually.
- the arrangement of the conveyor elements in groups of at least two or three Conveying elements has advantages in the lower area of the outlet gap Funding level.
- the second and / or third support elements of each group practice one slip-free drive on the signatures, while this on the lower pair of tapes reach.
- the conveyor elements arranged either in groups and / or individually are over Connecting elements, which form a closed circuit for each conveyor arrangement, connected with each other.
- the conveyor elements can e.g. Crossbars that are over extend the width of the web of material with the crossbars spaced apart Have guide washers.
- the conveyor elements can e.g. around Act endless belts, in the scope of which cutouts are provided.
- the Cutting cylinder pair has segments with a reduced radius, which the Conveyor elements allow passage, the cutting cylinder in the paths of the Funding elements are integrated.
- the segments with reduced radius represent one arcuate recess on the cylinders.
- the material Before cross cutting the The material becomes the material web in a cutting plane that runs across the conveyor plane gripped by the conveyor elements on both sides.
- a straight movement (e.g. a straight vertical downward movement) can execute.
- the endless belts instruct cutouts on their circumference, which are an interaction of the two cutting cylinders enable.
- the endless belts extend essentially across the width of the Material web and thus carry the signatures separated from the material web.
- the Endless belts are without phase shift in relation to the rotation of the Cutting cylinder pair driven and also at the speed at which the material web is transported.
- a material spell 1 e.g. a strand, by means of press rolls 3 over a Funnel 2 pulled in the longitudinal direction.
- the longitudinally folded material web 1 then passes one first pair of pull rollers 4 and a second pair of pull rollers 5.
- the pair of pull rollers 5 passes through the material web 1 through a pair of cutting cylinders 6 and one Knife cylinder 10 and a counter cylinder 11 (e.g. made of rubber), the Knife cylinder at least one cutting knife 12 and the counter cylinder at least one Have cutting rail 13.
- the signatures are separated from the material web 1 by the cutting cylinders, wherein the cutting cylinder in a cutting plane that is transverse to a conveying plane runs, perform a transverse cutting process.
- the material web 1 is on both sides of Conveying elements 18, 19 of a first (e.g. arranged on the left) conveyor arrangement 17 and a second conveyor arrangement 16 (e.g. located on the right).
- the conveyor elements 18,19 in groups with a first, a second and a third conveyor element arranged.
- the Reference numbers 18.1, 18.2 and 18.3 a group of conveyor elements of the left Conveyor arrangement 17, while the corresponding first, second and third conveyor element 19.1, 19.2 and 19.3 belong to the right funding arrangement 16.
- the conveyor element groups 18, 19 are spaced apart from one another, as indicated by arrow 22 in Fig. 1.
- the conveyor elements 18, 19 are over Connecting elements 20 connected to each other.
- the conveying elements need not be arranged in groups, they can rather be designed as individual funding elements; it is also conceivable to combine individual conveyor elements with groups of conveyor elements.
- the material web 1 is from the conveyor element groups 18, 19 above the Cutting cylinder pair 6 detected.
- the conveyor element groups 18, 19 pass between the knife cylinder 10 and the counter cylinder 11 by immersing them in segments of these cylinders, which in have a reduced radius with respect to other cylinder segments.
- the arcuate first and second recesses 8, 9 in each of the two Cylinders 6 are provided, allow the conveying elements 18, 19 to grip the Material web 1 in the input area arranged in front of the gap 7 and a separate one Signature 25 in an output area downstream of the gap 7 after the signature has been separated from the material web 1.
- a reliable management of the separated signatures 25 still guaranteed.
- FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the cutting cylinders, with the cutting cylinder pair 6 is integrated into the path of the conveyor element groups 18 and 19.
- the Conveyor element groups 18, 19 capture the material web 1 in front of the pair of cutting cylinders 6. Dive to stay in close contact with the web of material 1 being conveyed the conveyor element groups 18, 19 and / or the individual conveyor elements 18, 19 in the first and second arcuate recess 8, 9 on each cylinder of the Cutting cylinder pair 6 is provided, after interacting knife 12 and Cutting rails 13 have a signature separated from the material web 1.
- the Arc length of the first and the second recess 8, 9 in Fig. 2 by the Reference numeral 21 indicated.
- the recesses 8, 9 i.e. the segments with reduced Radius
- a lower portion of the conveyor assembly 16, 17 (e.g., the Outlet gap) two finger-shaped guides or guide elements 23, 24.
- Each Signature 25 which is conveyed in the conveyor plane 15, is at its front edge by the Conveyor element groups 18.1, 18.2, 18.3 and 19.1, 19.2, 19.3 are recorded.
- the Conveyor element groups 18, 19 lead the signature leading edge in the between the finger-shaped guide element pair 23, 24 formed a gap.
- the previous signature 25 is guided by the left or right conveyor belt. If the conveyor elements 18.1, 18.2, 18.3 and 19.1, 19.2, 19.3 are moved further, the tendency is each of the first conveyor elements 18.1 and 19.1 to the respective path of the Conveyor arrangement 16, 17 to follow.
- the second and third conveyor elements 18.2, 18.3 and 19.2, 19.3 exert a slip-free drive on a signature 25 in order to insert it into the to direct gap formed between the finger-shaped elements 23, 24. Because the distance between the clamping point of the third conveyor elements 18.3 and 19.3 and the slip-free drive of the lower belts 26, 27 is smaller than the signature 25 long a slip-free drive of the separated signature 25 in the transfer area maintain.
- the signatures 25 are transported to further processing stations by the turn lower belts 26, 27 about rollers 28.
- the tips of the finger-shaped elements 23, 24 in the between the guide discs of the Conveying elements 18, 19 formed spaces, as in Fig. 4 in more detail is illustrated.
- Fig. 4 shows conveying elements 18, 19 which are attached as cross bars 31 and spaced apart guide discs 30 are formed.
- the finger-shaped Guides extend into the between the guide washers and the crossbar-like Gaps formed into elements. Enough in this perspective view the tips of the finger-shaped guide elements 23, 24 in between the Guide disks 30 formed spaces 30.1.
- the guide discs 30 are arranged so that they are spaced from each other and inserting the tips of the Guide elements 23, 24 between the elements of the conveyor element groups 18, 19 enable.
- After inserting a signature leading edge in the between the finger-shaped guide elements 23, 24 formed gap direct the second and third Conveying elements 18.2, 18.3 and 19.2, 19.3 the signature 25 by making them reliable lead, completely in the gap formed between the finger-shaped elements 23, 24. Consequently the finger-shaped guide elements 23, 24 already take over the management of the signature, before the conveyor elements 18.3, 19.3 release the signature 25.
- the guide disks 30 can e.g. made of rubber or a synthetic material exist, which creates a frictional force, which is also on the front edge of one on both sides recorded signature is transmitted.
- any material can be used that provides the desired frictional contact.
- the Conveying elements are designed as endless belts, the width of which is in one Embodiment extends across the width of the material web 1. How the professional too worthy of white, ribbons of any width can be used in alternative designs will.
- the cutting cylinders - i.e. a knife cylinder 10 and a counter cylinder 11 - are each surrounded by one of the endless belts 34, 35.
- the rollers around which the endless belts 34, 35 run, are not shown in the drawings for the sake of clarity.
- the Knife cylinder 10 and the counter cylinder 11 are of the first and second type Recesses 8, 9 provide that the endless belts 34, 35 during the separation of the Signatures 25, 38 ensure reliable management of the signatures.
- the Endless belts 34, 35 which, in relation to the knife cylinder 10 and the counter cylinder 11 revolve without phase shift, have rectangular cutouts 36, 37 which the Cylinders 10, 11 allow cross cutting.
- the endless belts 34, 35 run in the direction of the arrow 39, 40.
- the leadership roles of Endoscopes are in the curvature areas 33 of each Endless belt 34, 35 arranged in a manner that any specialist immediately illuminates.
- the endless belts 34, 35 run at the speed of the material web 1 order and ensure reliable guidance of those separated from the material web 1 Signatures 25, 38. Since the circulating endless belts 34, 35 have a material web 1 in front of the Detect cross cuts and the signatures 25, 38 during the cutting process and then detect deviations in the signatures 25, 28 are avoided. Furthermore, the predetermined distance between the separated signatures 25, 38 are maintained.
