Abstract

Bei dem Verfahren wird ein Spinnfaser-Teppichgarn (5) vor seiner Verarbeitung zu dem Teppich vorbehandelt, um die Haarigkeit und den Flusenanfall bei derartigen Garnen zu verringern. Das Teppichgarn (5) wird an seiner Oberfläche während einer kurzen Einwirkungsdauer der Einwirkung einer im Verhältnis zu den charakteristischen Temperaturen des Teppichgarnmaterials sehr hohen Temperatur ausgesetzt. Dies kann in einem Sengbrenner (100) geschehen, durch den die Teppichgarnfäden (5) in ihrer Längsrichtung hindurchgeleitet werden.
