Furthermore the invention relates to a preferably for carrying out the Process-serving trough shortage according to the preamble of Claim 5 and preferably for performing the method serving device according to the preamble of Claim 18.
- Trough ironers have at least one rotating driven Ironer. Each ironer is a fixed one Deficiency trough assigned. The laundry items to be lacking from the rotating driven ironing roller to the heated one Deflection trough moved along. In the case of trough defects with several Deficiency troughs become the after going through a lack trough Hand over laundry items to the next shortage trough.
- the deficient items of laundry are transferred to several mangle troughs to a subsequent facility for onward transport and / or for further treatment of the laundry items.
- a subsequent facility for onward transport and / or for further treatment of the laundry items.
- it can be a folding device.
- the invention relates to all of the transfer processes described above the items of laundry in the case of ironer shortages with one or several mangle troughs and mangle rollers.
- Trough defects are known in which the neighboring ones Deficiency troughs connected by a fixed bridge are.
- the lack bands ensure that that respective item of laundry from a shortage to the next Shortage can reach.
- These well-known lack bands the disadvantage that they tear easily, which is too proportionate long downtimes due to the lack of troughs.
- Can also the lack bands leave marks on the laundry, including the lack of quality suffers.
- DE-A-34 09 031 is a trough lack with several subsequent ones Deficiency troughs and rollers known. Between those with An auxiliary drum is provided between consecutive troughs arranged, assigned to the conveyor belts with deflection drums are. A transfer of the laundry items to the next one Defect trough occurs through the transfer drum and the same assigned conveyor belts. The conveyor belts press the Items of laundry at the handover to the auxiliary drum.
- Devices are known from US-A-3 735 512 and EP-A-0 241 176 for feeding non-ironed laundry items to a trough lack known. These devices have conveyors which the laundry items when entering into the trough lack Be kept under vacuum. By arranging this known devices before the trough lack they have to meet other requirements than devices used for Delivery of at least partially smoothed laundry items from a mangle roller to the subsequent mangle roller or one serve the following facility.
- the invention is therefore based on the problem of a method for handing over laundry items to the subsequent mangle troughs and rollers or from a trough lack to a subsequent one Device and a corresponding trough lack or device to create what the disadvantages mentioned above get eliminated.
- a procedure for solving this problem shows the measures of Claim 1 on.
- the transfer device receives through the inventive Procedure a double function. It serves to fix the Items of laundry on the contact surface of the transfer device and Further transport of one or more on the transfer organ pinned laundry items.
- the respective items of laundry only along part of the transfer path from one mangle roller to the following mangle roller or Establishment fixed.
- This area can, if necessary connect a neutral area on which the respective items of laundry on the transfer organ. Shortly before the transfer of the respective laundry items to the next one The shortage roller or device will do this or any corresponding Items of laundry preferably from the contact surface on the transfer member lifted.
- the transfer route is thus divided in two or possibly three areas.
- the - in Defect direction seen - first area of fixation of the respective items of laundry on the transfer organ serves the or to pull off each item of laundry from the previous mangle roller and keep it at the handover organ so that the or every item of laundry taken away by the handover and in Direction to the subsequent ironer or device can be transported.
- this first area second neutral area follows, on which the or each corresponding one Piece of laundry is not fixed on the transfer organ, this serves as a bridging area.
- the areas mentioned above their relative position between for example successive ironing rollers or ironing troughs always with.
- the handover body becomes continuous driven, which always means different areas of the contact surface of the transfer device for fixing or holding or detaching or spacing the items of laundry. That from the handover body conveyed items of laundry thus migrate through various Areas on the transfer path from one ironer roller to subsequent ironer or device, the respective Piece of laundry initially held on the transfer organ, then loosely rests on it and finally from The delivery organ is repelled at the inlet into, for example, the Shortage gap of the next trough.
- a trough lack to solve the problem of the invention lying task has the features of claim 5.
- the transfer organ By the training of the transfer organ as a sponsor with funds for pneumatic and / or electrostatic holding of each Items of laundry or the respective items of laundry at least part of a contact surface of the transfer device of the conveyor can the lack bands required in the prior art omitted.
- the transfer member preferably consists essentially only from the sponsor.
- By means of holding at least one item of laundry each on a portion of the Conveyor is not a transport gap from two corresponding ones Means, such as lack bands and one associated with them Bridge, between successive shortages more needed.
- Pneumatic or electrostatic fixation the items of laundry lead to their contact surface on the transfer element no impairment of the laundry items. In particular are prints on the laundry, such as caused by the known lack bands.
- Transfer organ designed as a rotating drivable transfer drum.
- the transfer drum is simple in construction and leaves space-saving between in particular successive ones Arrange shortages.
- the upper part of the drum casing of the Transfer drum thereby practically forms the state of the Technology known bridge. Only "bridge” is in contrast to State of the art not fixed, but movable and for Holding the laundry items formed, causing the transfer drum at the same time the function of (not in the invention more necessary) lack bands and the fixed bridge Fulfills.
- the transfer device does not necessarily have to be designed as a transfer drum his. Instead, for example, as a transfer organ a conveyor with a rotating conveyor belt is considered come. Such a belt conveyor can be used as required designed transfer lanes between the successive Form shortages.
- a device for solving the basis of the invention Task has the features of claim 18. Training these devices relate to one or more Characteristics of the subclaims relating to the lack of troughs 6 to 17.
- Figures 1 and 7 show a trough lack of two consecutive troughs 10 and two the troughs 10 assigned mangle rollers 11.
- Each mangle trough 10 has an approximately semicircular cross section. in the Inside is the lack trough in a manner known per se Flow channels formed through the steam or the like can be passed through for heating the ironer 10.
- each ironing roller 11 there is a cylindrical ironing roller 11 in each ironer 10 arranged.
- Each ironing roller 11 is rotatably drivable in the direction the arrows 12.
- a Deficiency gap 13 formed, that with FIGS. 1 and 2 for better Recognizability is shown broadened. In practice it is only at the inlet of the items 14 into the respective mangle 10 a clear distance between the lack trough 10 and the elastic jacket of the respective shortage roller 11 available. In fact, the jacket of the respective ironer 11 can rest on the inside of the trough 10 if there is no Laundry 14 is located in the lack gap.
- Laundry 14 As far as in this description only one to be handed over Laundry 14 is mentioned, this is only for the purpose of Simplification.
- the invention also relates to Cases in which several items of laundry 14 side by side in several lanes pass through the trough, leaving several items of laundry be handed over at the same time.
- the laundry can 14 lie next to each other both with and without offset.
- the respective item of laundry 14 is in the direction of the arrows 15 moved through the lack of troughs.
- the item of laundry 10 at the upper left edge of the left shortage trough 10 (based on FIG. 1) entered in the lack gap 13 and from the rotating driven ironer roller 11 through the ironer 10 moved through.
- In the area of the right edge of the Left trough 10 leaves the front edge of the laundry 10 the area of the left ironer roller 11. This front edge the item of laundry 10 is then transferred to the left edge the right shortage trough 10. From here the laundry 14 through the rotationally driven right ironer 11 the lack gap 13 transported through the right lack well 10. This leaves on the right edge of the right trough 10 Completely ironed laundry 10 the trough lack.
- a transfer drum 16 is arranged between the successive ironer rolls 14.
- the ironer rollers 11 and the ones assigned to them Deficiency troughs 10 a corresponding distance.
- By far parallel axes of rotation 17 of the successive Ironing rollers 11 therefore have one Distance that is slightly larger than the diameter of the ironer roller 11 and the transfer drum 16 (see FIG. 2).

- the distance between the axis of rotation 18 of the transfer drum 16 to the axis of rotation 17 of the left ironer roller 11 is something less than the distance between the axis of rotation 18 and the axis of rotation 17 the right ironer 11 (Fig. 2). This gives the distance the axis of rotation 18 to the axis of rotation 17 of the left ironer roller 11 such that it corresponds to the thickness of the item 14 of laundry.
- the Distance of the axis of rotation 18 to the axis of rotation 17 of the right ironer roller 11 is preferably somewhat larger than the width of the mangle gap 13 (Fig. 2) or the inlet area to the (right) Deficiency trough 10.
- the diameter of the transfer drum 16 is significantly smaller than the diameter of the mangle rolls 11. Preferably Diameter of the transfer drum 16 about 15 to 25% of the diameter of the respective mangle roller 11.
- the axis of rotation 18 of the Transfer drum 16 is located slightly above one imaginary connecting line 19 between the axes of rotation 17 of the Ironer rollers 11 (Fig. 1).
- the axis of rotation is preferably located 18 by an amount of 1 to 10% of the diameter of the Transfer drum 16 over the connecting line 19 (Fig. 1).
- the transfer drum 16 can be fixed between its axis of rotation 17 the ironing rollers 11 can be stored. But is preferred the transfer drum 16 flying or portable between the mangle rolls 11 stored.
- the movement of the transfer drum 16 is preferably against the lateral surface 20 of the left ironer roller 11 directed so that the transfer drum 16 outside on the left ironer roller 11 or a piece of laundry on it 14 is present.
- the pendulum arms can Storage of the transfer drum 16 is spring-loaded accordingly be so that the transfer drum 16 against the pendulum arms the jacket or the laundry 14 of the left ironing roller 11 presses. In this way there is a smooth transition of the laundry item 14 from the jacket of the mangle roller 11 on the transfer drum 16 guaranteed (Fig. 2).
- the transfer drum 16, namely the outer surface 20 of the same, at which the laundry 14 at the transfer from the left ironer 11 to the right ironer roller 11 at least in some areas is divided into three areas.
- the lateral surface 20 is designed as a holding area 21. That closes in the embodiment shown a neutral Area 22.
- a delivery area 23 (Fig. 2).
- the one in the holding area 21 holding force exerted on the item of laundry 14 also serves to that the laundry 14 from the rotating towards the arrow 24 driven transfer drum 16 and transported to the next (right) ironer 11 becomes.

- Stop area 21 the neutral area 22 and the delivery area 23 different dimensions.
- the holding area 21 is the largest. It extends over about 90 ° of the circumference of the transfer drum 16.
- Der neutral area 22 is somewhat shorter than holding area 21 educated.
- The is significantly shorter than the holding area 21 Delivery area 23. This extends to only about 45 ° of the Circumference of the transfer drum 16 (Fig. 2 and 4).
- the transfer drum 16 is designed so that the holding area 21, the neutral area 22 and the delivery area 23 their relative position despite the rotating transfer drum 16 always maintained.
- the holding area is relative to the lack troughs 10 21, the neutral area 22 and the delivery area 23 accordingly quiet.
- the transfer drum 16 becomes continuous moved further in the transfer direction 24. It is the peripheral speed of the transfer drum 16 in such a way matched the same peripheral speeds of the ironer rolls 11, that a jam-free, continuous transfer of the laundry 14 from one lack trough 10 to the other lack trough 10 takes place and thereby the speed of the laundry 14 all the way through the trough lack is equal to.
- the transfer drum 16 has two overlapping coats, namely an outer jacket 25 and an inner jacket 26.
- the inner jacket 26 is at its opposite Ends via end walls 27 firmly with a stationary driven axis 28 connected.
- the inner jacket 26 is thus stationary on the axis 28.

- the outer surface 20 of the transfer drum 44 is as in the Transfer drum 16 divided into a holding area 21, one neutral area 22 and a delivery area 23 (FIG. 5).
- the holding area 21 becomes a positive charge on the conductor tracks 49 applied to the respective laundry 14 on the outer surface 20 attracts and thereby holds.
- a negative charge is applied to the conductor tracks 49, the respective item of laundry 14 from the outer surface 20 repels.
- On the continuously rotating transfer drum 44 keep the individual areas, namely the holding area 21, the neutral area 22 and the discharge area 23 change their relative position to the lack troughs 10 at so their location is not.
- each conductor track is 49 via slip ring contacts to one not shown in the figures stationary slip ring connected.
- the slip ring is divided into sectors that correspond to the sectors of the holding area 21 and the delivery area 23 correspond.
- the one Sector of the slip ring corresponding to the holding area 21, is with an electrical power supply, for example a capacitor, which is positive in the holding region 21 Charge generated. Accordingly, the sector of the slip ring, which is assigned to the delivery area 23, electrically so switched that a negative charge on the delivery area 23 is produced.
- the transfer drums 16 and 44 can be heated or heated. To do this, inside the corresponding transfer drum, for example in the subspaces 39 and / or 40 of the transfer drum 16, hot air continuously passed. At this Warm air can be, for example, through a suction hood act hot air drawn off from the last mangle roller 11. The heating of the transfer drum 16 or 44 can thus without additional energy supply from the ironer 10 dissipated warm air.

- This has a conveyor designed as a belt conveyor 65.
- the belt conveyor 65 is composed of two spaced one behind the other Drums, namely a transfer drum 66 and a delivery drum 67 together. Longitudinal central axes of the Transfer drum 66 and discharge drum 67 lie on one imaginary horizontal connecting line that is opposite the The axis of rotation 18 of the ironer roller 11 is offset in height.
- To the Transfer drums 66 and discharge drum 67 is an endless one Conveyor belt 68 out. If necessary, the conveyor belt 68 from several narrow belts lying next to each other put together. The conveyor belt 68 is driven via the rear delivery drum 67.
- the transfer drum 66 and the Dispensing drum 67 are on two opposite end faces assigned to the transfer drum 66 and the discharge drum 67 Swing 69 stored. Both wings 69 are one common horizontal axis of rotation 70 freely pivotable. This Axis of rotation 70 lies above the horizontal connecting line the longitudinal central axes of the transfer drum 66 and the discharge drum 67, approximately midway between these two Longitudinal central axes.
- the conveyor belt 68 is designed to be permeable to air. He can do it be perforated; but also from an air permeable Tissue exist.
- the detailed in Fig. 9th The transfer drum 66 shown has a cylindrical one Coat 71, which is evenly distributed with a variety Through holes 72 is provided.
- the jacket 71 is rotatable and sealed edge discs sealing on its end faces stored. Inside the cylindrical shell 71 is a smaller one is fixed between the edge discs Inner cylinder 73 arranged. In one of the ironer rolls 11
- the facing holding area 74 has the inner cylinder 73 Through holes 75.
- the space 76 is delimited between the inner cylinder 73 and the shell 71 in the area of Through holes 75 through elongated sealing strips 77, the firmly on opposite edges of the inner cylinder 73 are connected and sealingly on the inner surface of the jacket 71 slide along.
- a suction line connected to the inner cylinder 73 on the right side generates a negative pressure in the inner cylinder 73. Because of the space 76 delimited by the sealing strips 77 leading through holes 75 also arise in the space 76 a negative pressure. As a result, the through holes 72 in rotating jacket 71 is supplied with suction air by the perforated conveyor belt 68 or formed from a fabric passes through and thus in the holding area 74 the laundry items from the ironer 11 sucks.
- the item of laundry 14 After leaving the stopping area 21, the item of laundry 14 reaches a further partial area the lateral surface 20 of the transfer drum 16, namely the neutral area 22.
- the item 14 lies loosely of the outer surface 20 of the transfer drum 16.
- the delivery area 23 of the transfer drum 16 This delivery area 23 becomes supplied with compressed air, whereby the laundry 14 from the outer surface 20 of the transfer drum 16 is lifted (Fig. 2).
- the laundry 14 is thereby against the ironing roller 11 second (right) lack well 10 pressed and due to the synchronous Drive both the transfer drum 16 and the Ironing roller 11 in the ironing gap 13 between the second (right) ironer 10 and the ironer assigned to it 11 introduced.
- the second (right) ironer 11 the item of laundry 14 is then transported through the gap 13.
- the second (right) lack tray 10 leaves the mangled item of laundry 14 the trough lack.
- the transfer also takes place in the manner described above of the laundry 14 by the electrostatically operating transfer drum 44. This works in contrast to the transfer drum 16 but with attractive or repulsive electrostatic Forces instead of negative or positive pressure.
- the invention is also suitable for flatwork ironers with more than two mangle rollers and mangle troughs. It is then between two consecutive troughs and shortage rollers a transfer drum arranged. As a result, there is a lack of troughs with three mangle troughs and three mangle rollers over two Transfer drums 16 and 44.
- the trough lack also behind the last ironer or ironer have a transfer drum.
- This is the last ironer assigned transfer drum serves to transfer the item of laundry (or several items of laundry lying side by side) to a folding machine following the trough shortage, an acceptance table or another device for further transport or the further treatment of the laundry items.
- the transfer drum replaced here known wipers. These get in touch with the outer surface of the scraper roller lead to impairment of the mostly textile wrapping Ironer roller (abrasion). This abrasion can be caused by the transfer drum be avoided because these are attached to the Ironing roller rotates synchronously with the same.
- a transfer drum in the outlet of the ironer can be used for ironers with only one but also several ironing rollers and Deficiency troughs are used.
- the device according to the invention for transferring laundry items consists of one of the transfer drums 16, 44, 50 or 60.
- the device according to the invention from the Belt conveyor 65 may be formed.
- Such devices can between successive mangle troughs 10 and mangle rollers 11 may be arranged.
