Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and a punching and creasing tool for producing grooved stamped parts according to the preambles of claims 1 and 3 respectively.
- Folding box blanks made of cardboard are usually given creases, which give the folding boxes their defined shape when they are later erected.
- the contours as well as the necessary incisions of the folding box blank are created by punching.
- the production takes place by means of band steel stamping and creasing tools on flat bed or rotary stamping.
- the band steel punching and creasing tools usually consist of a carrier plate, for example made of wood, bonded from plastics with glass fabric or reinforced in a sandwich construction with metal plates. Slots are made in these carrier plates in accordance with the box contours, in which punching or creasing lines are received.
- the punched lines either protrude as far as or farther from the carrier plate than the crease lines.
- the punching lines work against a punching plate, mainly made of steel.
- the creasing lines create a creasing bead in the folding box material by pressing the material into a creasing groove. These creasing grooves can be milled into the punching plate or as a structure on the punching plate to be appropriate.
- the punching and creasing process is problematic in the known punching and creasing tools, since the material is not drawn into the corresponding creasing groove by the creasing line until the punching process has already started, i.e. the punching lines have already entered the box.
- the tensile stresses in the material thus cause the cutting process to become a cutting-tearing process, which negatively affects the quality of the cut.
- the crease bead is itself subject to tensile stresses caused by the adjacent cutting lines. Since punching and creasing lines are arranged symmetrically in a folding box blank only in exceptional cases, they are on the Creasing tensile stresses are usually asymmetrical, which leads to asymmetry or skewing of the creasing bead depending on the distance between the adjacent lines and greatly impairs the folding behavior.
- the limits of punching and creasing are thus predetermined depending on the material to be cut and the geometry of the box. In particular, the quality of the creasing bead is of crucial importance for the subsequent folding processes in high-speed folding carton gluing and packaging machines.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method and a punching and creasing tool with which grooved stamped parts can be produced with high quality.
- This object is achieved on the basis of the generic prior art in that the formation of creases in the material sheet is started before the punching process is initiated.
- the punching process is preferably initiated when the material has been drawn into the creasing grooves.
- the punching lines are only attacked after the creasing lines have been engaged, and if possible only when the material has been drawn into the creasing groove by the creasing lines. This avoids stresses in the material when the crease lines are formed, so that the crease lines are of high quality.
- the rigid connection of the punching and creasing is removed, so that it is possible to perform the creasing and punching at different times in one working stroke.
- the carrier plate only receives the slots for the punching lines. This significantly increases the rigidity of the entire tool.
- the compression of the material in the groove area can be set depending on the type and thickness of the cardboard to be scored and the groove depth.
- the creasing elements can resiliently rest on the material to be creased, so that it is possible to achieve a uniform, constant creasing depth regardless of the wear of the punching elements.
- the geometric conditions such as the difference in height between the punching elements and the creasing elements, depend on the material thickness of the material to be cut and the creasing parameters, i.e. the groove depth in relation to the material thickness, from which material compression is derived, which is of decisive influence for the formation of the creasing bead.
- the folded edge of the box is fixed by the compressed impression of the creasing elements.
- the possibility of compression can be used here for the first time since punching and creasing elements work independently of one another and the height wear of the punching elements during production does not affect the height ratio of punching and creasing elements, as was previously the case with punching and creasing tools. It has the further advantage that the groove depths can be created in the punch-groove plate with less effort. The grooves can also be kept narrower. This is for the folded edges of the folding boxes very beneficial.
- the creasing elements are preferably formed by creasing projections which are provided on the underside of a creasing plate which is elastically mounted on or in the carrier plate.
- the scoring plate is expediently mounted on the carrier plate by means of an elastomer plate which is arranged between the scoring plate and the carrier plate.
- the grooved plate can be guided in the stroke direction through centering bolts that are attached to the carrier plate.
- creasing grooves are NC-controlled in the punching-creasing plates with the same program as the slots for the punching-creasing lines in the carrier plate. But by driving the lines into the slots, there are tensions that lead to dimensional deviations of the creasing lines in the carrier plate and the creasing grooves in the punch-creasing plate, so that the creasing lines have to be adjusted by hand, which is very costly. This source of error has been eliminated with the new process via the own grooved plate.
- the scoring plate can also take on the function of a hold-down plate and scraper plate.
- the punching and creasing tool 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is arranged between a pressure plate 3 and a counter pressure plate 4 of a punching machine.
- the punching and creasing tool 1 has a carrier plate 6, which is arranged horizontally in the punching machine and is connected to the pressure plate 3 and consists, for example, of wood laminate, and a punching and creasing plate 7 made of steel which is connected to the counterpressure plate 4 and which is spaced below the carrier plate 6 is arranged.
- an elastomer plate 11 is provided on the underside of the carrier plate 6 for each use, on the underside of which a massive grooved plate 9 is applied.
- the scoring plate 9 is provided on its underside facing the punching-scoring plate 7 with scoring projections (scoring elements) 10a and 10b.
- the free ends of the creasing projections 10a, 10b extend further downward from the carrier plate 6 than the free ends of the punching knives 2a, 2b, ie their distance from the punching-creasing plate 7 is less than that of the punching knives 2a , 2 B.
- the grooved plate 9 can consist of metal, plastic or composite material.
- the grooved projections 10a, 10b can be formed by milling out, etching out, by inserting strips or plates into the grooved plate 9.
- the crease plate 9 creates the advantage that a precise placement of the individual crease elements 10a, 10b is determined not by the carrier plate 6, but by the manufacture of the crease plate 9.
- the creasing projections 10a, 10b are formed opposite creasing grooves 8a and 8b, into which the creasing projections 10a and 10b press folding box material during the stamping-creasing process.
- the grooved plate 9 is provided with centering holes 13, in each of which a centering pin 14 is slidably guided, which passes through the elastomer plate 11 and is inserted into a bore 12 in the carrier plate 6.
- the centering bolts 14 ensure exact centering of the creasing projections 10a, 10b of the creasing plate 9 with respect to the corresponding creasing grooves 8a and 8b, so that the best possible symmetrical assignment of the creasing projections 10a, 10b and creasing grooves 8a, 8b is achieved.
- Centering holes 15 are provided in the punching-creasing plate 15, in which centering pins engage during the fixing, for the dimensionally accurate fixing of the creasing plate 9 when the punching and creasing tool 1 is set up.
- the corresponding centering holes 12 are provided in the carrier plate 6 and the grooving plate 9 is fixed on the carrier plate 6 by means of the centering pins 14.
- the creasing projections 10a, 10b project further from the carrier plate 6 than the punching knives 2a, 2b by the amount A (e.g. 0.3 mm).
- the distance between the creasing projections 10a, 10b from the punching-creasing plate 7 is sufficient to insert a cardboard sheet 5 (FIG. 2) between the creasing plate 9 and the punching-creasing plate 7.
- the punching machine After insertion of the cardboard sheet 5, the punching machine is closed, the pressure plate 3 with the carrier plate 6 moving in the direction of the punching-scoring plate 7 until the end position shown in FIG. 2 is reached, in which the punching knives 2a, 2b cut the cardboard and the creases 10a, 10b have embossed grooves.
- FIG 3 shows the distance between the creasing projections 10a, 10b and the punching knives 2a, 2b during the punching and creasing process with the punching and creasing tool 1 according to the invention in a time-path diagram.
- the creasing projections 10a, 10b are at the height R0.
- the free ends of the punching knives 2a, 2b are at this time by the distance A (FIG. 1) above the height R0 of the cardboard surface at the height S0.
- the distance A between the free ends of the punching knives 2a, 2b and the free ends of the creasing projections 10a, 10b is constant, ie the punching knives 2a, 2b and the creasing projections 10a, 10b are moved synchronously.
- the creasing projections 10a, 10b have drawn the cardboard into the creasing grooves 8a, 8b at the time t m .
- the resistance from the carton during this retraction is up to Time t m is less than the restoring force of the elastomer plate 11.
- the punching knives 2a, 2b and the creasing projections 10a, 10b move differently, since the resistance opposed to the creasing projections 10a, 10b due to the compression of the carton in Connection with the reaction force of the grooved grooves 8a, 8b is greater than the restoring force of the elastomer plate 11, so that the elastomer plate 11 is compressed.
- the creasing projections 10a, 10b only move by the amount B from the time t m to the time t e , at which the punching knives 2a, 2b hit the punching-grooving plate 7 (FIG. 2), while the punching knives 2a, 2b are linear move through the box by the amount C that corresponds to the thickness of the box.
- the punched-grooved plate 7 can be formed in one piece with the counter-pressure plate 4.
- the groove depth 17 depends on the punched material. It can be selected in such a way that compression occurs, but it is equally possible to work with a groove groove depth 17 which does not lead to any compression.
- the conventional punching technique works with the punch-crease plate, in which the creasing grooves are made in the punching plate. In many cases, however, separately produced creasing grooves are also attached to the creasing lines and glued to the stamping plate. This technique is of course also possible with the new punch-creasing process.
- the method according to the invention and the punching and creasing tool according to the invention are described with reference to the production of a folding box blank from a cardboard box. However, they can be used for all punching and creasing work that are carried out with a die on cardboard, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, plastic or the like.

Abstract
Description
- Fig.1
- einen Teilschnitt durch ein Stanz- und Rillwerkzeug einer Stanzmaschine im Bereich eines Nutzens in einer Ausgangsstellung;
- Fig.2
- das Stanz- und Rillwerkzeug von Fig.1 in einer Endstellung;
