Definitions
- the invention relates to a protective helmet, especially for motorcyclists according to the preamble of the main claim.
- DE-C3-28 46 636 shows such a protective helmet.
- the chin guard is hinged here to the helmet cap and pivotable upwards.
- the type says nothing about the type of joints, but it can be assumed that the chin guard can only be removed from the dome part with a tool leaves.
- a protective helmet can be removed, in which the chin guard can be removed without an additional tool.
- Helmet dome provided a hinge plate on each side, which is a guide has in the form of an approximately perpendicular web.
- a recess corresponding to the width of the web is directed of the chin part so that the chin part is facing up can be pulled off the web.
- the object of the invention is in a generic hard hat articulated connection of the chin guard to the helmet cap to be designed that the assembly or disassembly of the chin guard also without tools is possible.
- the two lateral joints accordingly each have a joint plate on that with the helmet cap are firmly connected.
- the joint plates are each a locking disc rotatably held. Takeaways of the chin guard thus engage in the locking washers a that a pivoting of the chin guard at the same time Twisting the locking discs causes.
- a certain Angular position forms recesses in the locking disc together with guide grooves of the joint plates continuous guideways from which the Driving bars and thus the chin guard can be pulled out. A tool is not required for this.
- the helmet is sought to give the surface as smooth as possible. To achieve this, it is advisable to insert the joint plate into the helmet cap let in. The joint supports this way not noticeably on and therefore offers little to the wind Resistance.
- the chin guard should be secure when folded down be anchored. Another embodiment of the invention therefore sees a locking opening on at least one Articulated plate in which an extension of the chin guard engages.
- Such helmets usually have a visor.
- the visor as well as the chin guard without Assemble or disassemble the tool. Is achieved do this by inserting each of the chin strap's bridging bars Bearing pin is provided on the resilient end portions the helmet visor are attachable. Doing so the assembled visor or its end sections between the chin guard and the calotte-proof joint plate.
- the chin guard needs to be dismantled only in a certain angular position compared to the Helmet to be swiveled. Sometimes he could Chin guard unintentionally take this angular position and yourself possibly partially detach from the helmet. This should be prevented and the invention therefore looks in a further advantageous embodiment, the visor and to lock the chin guard against each other so that only with the visor removed, the chin guard into the disassembly position can be pivoted. This is achieved through a dome-proof stop that defines the opening area of the helmet visor and the swivel range of the chin guard is limited. Only after removing the visor can the Chin bar further up into the disassembly position swing.
- the visor can also be locked in individual open positions.
- a spring-loaded latch is provided for this, the corresponding locking openings of the visor intervenes.
- Figure 1 shows a protective helmet for a motorcycle rider with a helmet cap 1 and a chin guard 2.
- the chin guard 2 is attached to the side of the helmet 1 Joints 3 detachably held on the helmet cap 1 and can be swiveled upwards.
- a double arrow 4 is intended to symbolically pivot the chin strap 2 represent. Otherwise shows Figure 1 because of Display only the joint facing the viewer.
- the protective helmet also has a visor 5 made of transparent Plastic on top of that too is pivotally arranged on the helmet cap 1.
- a another double arrow 6 symbolizes accordingly Double arrow 4 the pivotability of the visor 5.
- the joint 3 consists of a hinge plate 7, which with the helmet cap 1 is screwed.
- the type of attachment show in Figure 6 sybmolic screw holes 8.
- the hinge plate 7 has an eccentrically arranged circular Receiving opening 9 on the joint plate completely penetrates. From the receiving opening 9 to The plate edge 10 runs through a continuous guide groove 11.
- the guide groove 11 is expanded approximately diametrically opposite the receiving opening 9 forms an extension 12, in which a locking body 13 can be inserted.
- a locking disc 14 thus fits into the receiving opening 9 that they twist freely but without play leaves. It defines the swivel axis of the chin guard 2.
- the locking disc 14 itself is one Recess provided in the form of a diametrically extending, receiving groove open on one side towards the disk edge 15 16.
- the locking disc 14 can be how mentioned in the receiving opening 9 of the joint disk 7 twist freely and can therefore also take a position in which the receiving groove 16 with the guide groove 11 the joint plate 7 forms a continuous guideway, as shown for example in Figure 2.
- the chin guard 2 looks on the inside of his with the Hinges 3 connected end portions 2a each inward projecting carrier 17. Every takeaway 17 and thus also the dashed line in FIG. 2 Drawn dock is in its dimensions the Reproduced the receiving groove 16 of the locking disc 14 and can be inserted without play. Therefor the receiving groove 16 has an undercut profile and the carrier bar 17 the corresponding counter profile on. In this way, the takeaway can be 17 and securely anchor the receiving groove 16 together while maintaining a defined leadership.
- the length the receiving groove 16 is so on the length of the driving web 17 matched that the guide bar 17 completely can be inserted into the receiving groove 16.
- the carrier bar rotates the locking disc 14 in the hinge plate 7 as soon as that Chin part is pivoted.
- the locking disc turns for example, clockwise when the chin guard is moved upwards.
- At least one locking disc 14 has on it edge section opposite the end of the guide groove 16 a circumferential groove only indicated in Figures 3 and 5 in which a locking lug 13a ( Figure 6) of the Latching body 13 engages.
- a locking lug 13a Figure 6
- Within this circumferential groove are individual pockets, not shown, formed Define individual snap positions of the chin guard.
- the bags are formed at their edges opposite the detent 13a so that by a little more effort on the chin guard 2 the locking body or its locking lug 13 against the Force of the compression spring 18 pushed out of the pockets and the chin guard is pivoted further in this way can be.
- the hinge plate 7 in the helmet cap 1 embedded, and thus forms with this an almost transition-free surface.
- the guide groove 11 of the hinge plate 7 in Dome body continues; the corresponding section bears the reference number 18.
- Figures 1, 2 and 6 show a locking opening 19, in which an extension 20 of the chin guard (2) engages when folded down. Thereby is an anchor between the chin guard 2 and the helmet 1 ensured.
- the drive bars 17 of the chin guard 2 are not direct molded on its end portions 2a, but between them and the end sections are still located a journal 21.
- the journal 21 are used for pivotable receptacle of end sections 5a of the helmet visor 5 (see in particular Figure 6).
- the end sections 5a have resilient fastening tabs 5b for this purpose, that from an approximately three-quarter closed opening 5c and at a distance from it crescent-shaped Incisions 5d are formed. With the receiving openings 5c, the visor section 5a over the bearing pins 21 pushed. Because of their resilient properties clasp the tabs 5b after plugging them together Preload the trunnions 21. Trunnion 21 and receiving openings 5c each form a hinge for the pivotable adjustment of the visor 5.
- notches 5e In at least one of the end sections 5a of the visor 5 are notches 5e incorporated, in which a spring-loaded Bolt 22 depending on the swivel position of the visor intervenes.
- the latch 22 itself is on the hinge plate 7 kept slidable.
- At least one friction body 23 presses on the Inner surface of an end portion 5a of the visor 5.
- the Friction body 23 penetrates the hinge plate 7, can be but move axially relative to the hinge plate 7. It is in frictional contact with a friction surface 23a with the inside of the helmet visor 5.
- FIGS. 3 to 5 The function of the joint mechanism as well as the disassembly of the chin guard 2 should now be based on FIGS. 3 to 5 are explained in more detail.
- the figures show the components but only as far as this is for the person to be described Functional sequence is necessary.
- Figure 3 shows the state as it is also shown in Figure 1 is, namely, the chin guard 2 and closed visor 5. It can be clearly seen that the locking disc or its groove 16 by more than 90 ° counterclockwise and opposite the guide groove 11 the hinge plate 7 is turned away. Furthermore is on End portion 5a of the visor a notch 5f recognizable, in which a dome-fixed stop 25 engages, the The length is chosen so that the end 2a of the chin guard 2 can turn over him. So the visor is safe held in the closed position and can in particular not be deducted.
- Figure 4 shows a situation in which the visor is complete is open.
- the sights section bumps 5a with an edge 5g on a dome-fixed stop 26 at, in its outwardly protruding length of length of the stop 25 corresponds.
- the visor can therefore be do not open further.
- the chin guard is also behind swung up and far enough so that he on the visor is applied and also can not be pivoted further can.
- the locking disc 14 has largely in the direction of the guide groove 11 of the joint plate 7 rotated, but their receiving groove 16 is not yet aligned in the guide groove 11. The chin guard can therefore in not be deducted from this position.
- the overall assembly is below the protective helmet described with reference to Figure 6.
- the locking disc 14 and the locking body 13 and the friction body 23 in the receiving opening 9 or in the extension 12 and an unspecified through opening of the Joint plate 7 used.
- Corresponding all-round stop shoulders limit the path of insertion.
- the joint plate 7 equipped in this way screwed on the helmet.
- the chin guard via the guide groove 11 of the flexible disk 7 into the receiving groove 16 of the locking disc 14 inserted and then the chin guard swung slightly downwards.
- the visor with its end sections 5a or its receiving openings 5c via the hinge pins 22 of the chin guard.
