Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for folding garments according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for folding garments according to the preamble of claim 6.
  • Such a folding machine known which has a worktop, which completely folds the garment resting thereon, so provides with the corresponding longitudinal and transverse folds.
  • the worktop must be dimensioned so that then the garment to be folded in its entire (unfolded) length is receiving the results in that the known automatic folding machine has relatively large dimensions Moreover, all folding operations successively take place when resting on the countertop garment (discontinuous) , The performance of this known folding machine are naturally limited because the subsequent garment must wait until all successive longitudinal and transverse folds of the respective garment have been performed on the countertop.
  • the known folding machine has in particular for conveying the folded garment serving conveyor, which consist of several narrow straps, which are adjacent to each other at a slight distance. This creates gaps between the narrow straps. In these gaps, parts of the garment to be folded, in particular buttons, can get caught, which leads to warping of the folded piece of clothing or even to malfunctions of the automatic folding machine.
  • a folding device for particular T-shirts known in which first a long folding and then transverse folds are made.
  • the transverse folds take place during the transport of the respectively to be folded T-shirt by the folding device. Due to the fact that the lengthening takes place first, the longitudinal folding station serving for this purpose must have a relatively large length, namely extend at least the length of the largest T-shirt to be folded.
  • the known folding device must therefore have correspondingly large dimensions.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a method and an apparatus for folding Bekedungs Suiteen, whereby high folding performance and good folding quality are possible.
  • a method for solving this problem comprises the measure of claim 1. Accordingly, the sleeves of a garment are folded over before reaching the first folding station of sleeve folding conveyors for transverse or longitudinal folding against the body part of the garment. According to the invention, the folding of the sleeves takes place continuously during the further transport, so that in this way the throughput of the automatic folding machine is not reduced.
  • two Querfaltstationen are arranged in front of the longitudinal folding station, which are operated alternatively.
  • the different Querfaftstationen are necessary because different pieces of clothing, such as gowns, provided at different locations with longitudinal and transverse folds and must be supplied with different relative position of the longitudinal folding station.
  • each transverse folding takes place during the simultaneous transport of the garment.
  • the transverse folds therefore take place continuously during the supply of the item of clothing to the next folding station, in particular to the longitudinal folding station.
  • the width of the support of the garment is variable, such that it is the width of the Rumptteils, especially in the shoulder region of the garment, adaptable In this way, the sleeves of garments of different types and sizes of their length be folded after exactly.
  • the width of the support of the garment is variable, such that it is the width of the Rumptteils, especially in the shoulder region of the garment, adaptable In this way, the sleeves of garments of different types and sizes of their length be folded after exactly.
  • For uniform folding of both sleeves is further provided to center the gravel piece before folding the sleeves so on the support that both sleeves hang down from opposite sides of the support with the same length. This prevents the one sleeve of the garment from being folded with a different length than the other sleeve of the same garment.
  • An apparatus for solving the problem underlying the invention has the features of claim 6.
  • This device has a sleeve folding station in front of the first folding station.
  • the sleeves are folded before the later longitudinal and transverse folding.
  • the sleeves thereby receive a defined position to the body part of the garment to be folded, whereby the longitudinal and transverse folds can be made at those points of the garment on which the sleeves do not interfere or can be provided in an advantageous manner with longitudinal and transverse folds.
  • the sleeves are reliably fixed.
  • the sleeve folding station has a sleeve folding conveyor for each sleeve which is relatively movable to a mid-section of the garment-receiving (main) conveyor.
  • the sleeve-folding conveyors and the conveyor for the central part of the garment are arranged relative to each other so that both transport the garment in the same direction whereby, during transport of the garment, the sleeves are continuously folded by a relative movement of both sleeve folding conveyors to the central part receiving conveyor.
  • At least some conveyors in particular all conveyors, each provided with a single extending over the entire worktop conveyor belt.
  • the garment to be folded is thereby on a single continuous conveyor belt, which has no gaps, which could lead to a snagging of the garment, in particular buttons thereof.
  • the (wide) conveyor belts are provided with linear guides.
  • these straight line guides are formed by guide members on the conveyor belts, which are in communication with corresponding guide members on the drums of the conveyor (tail pulley, drive drum).
  • guide members on the conveyor belts which are in communication with corresponding guide members on the drums of the conveyor (tail pulley, drive drum).
  • the device shown in the figures is a so-called automatic folding machine 10 for automatic folding of garments, in particular gowns or the like.
  • FIG. 1 Schematics 11 are shown schematically.
  • the gowns 11 are placed on folding transporting brackets 12 by a partially illustrated conveyor system 13 on an inclined laying conveyor 14 and held. Subsequently, the transport bracket 12 is folded, up from the smock 11 pulled out and (as in the Fig.1 hinted at). After in this way the transport bracket 12 has been pulled out of the coat 11, the coat 11 is automatically folded in several successive folding stations.
  • a sleeve folding station 15 for folding over both sleeves 16 of the garment 11 behind its central body part 17. This is followed by two Querfaltstationen 18 and 19, a longitudinal folding station 20 and another Querfaltstation 21. This performs a last folding the gown 11th by. Thereafter, the folded smocks 11 are stacked on a stacking table 22. As soon as a stack 23 has been completed, it is transferred from the stacking surface 24 of the stacking table 22 designed as a conveyor to a removal conveyor 25.
  • each ⁇ rmelfaltstation 15 Ober has a sleeve folding conveyor 26, which is composed of two juxtaposed section qualifyingem 27 and 28 having a slightly V-shaped relative to each other.
  • the deflection drums 29 and 30 shown in the figure are, like the drive drums not shown, interconnected by a universal joint 31. As a result, synchronous operation of both partial conveyors 27 and 28 is ensured.
