Definitions

  • the invention relates to a support roller winding machine for winding material webs, in particular paper or cardboard webs, onto cores according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Such winding machines are used for the production of winding rolls from the material web divided by longitudinal section. When winding, the winding rolls lie axially aligned on the two support rollers.
  • the air box can be swung down from an upper working position, in which its side surfaces lie sealingly against the support rollers, into a position below a support roller. The swiveling down creates space for a separate separating knife, which can be raised from below through the support roller nip, on the tear-off blade of which the web tears off when the full winding rolls are ejected.
  • the invention has for its object to improve a generic support roller winding machine so that a roll change can be carried out in a shorter time with space-saving design.
  • the arrangement of the cutting knife support with the tear-off blade in the air box takes up less space than a separate cutting knife.
  • the air box does not need to be lowered for a roll change. Lowering is only necessary to insert a new web or in the event of a paper jam.
  • the roll change can be carried out more quickly, since the tear-off blade of the separating knife can be moved up into its separating position in the roller bed without first swiveling the air box away.
  • the subclaims contain preferred, since particularly advantageous, embodiments of the invention.
  • Fig. 1 roughly schematically shows a side view of a section of a support roller winding machine according to the invention.
  • Fig. 2 is an enlarged view of a cross section through the air box with the cutting knife in the rest position
  • Fig. 3 shows a cross section in which the tear-off blade of the cutting knife is in the cutting position.
  • the support roller winding machine has two driven support rollers 1, 2, between which a roller bed 3 is formed, in which the winding rollers 4 lie on the support rollers 1, 2 during winding.
  • the material web 5, which is divided into individual webs in the longitudinal direction - preferably a paper or cardboard web - is deflected by the support roller 1 from below through the gap between the support rollers 1, 2 into the support roller bed 3 and wound there on sleeves 6 aligned.

  • a plurality of axially extending felt strips are inserted on the outside, which seal the air box 8 against the support rollers 2 with minimal friction.

  • the shape of the end sealing elements 12 is adapted to the free cross-sectional area between the support rollers 1, 2, its upper part being elongated in a rectangular shape up to above the connecting line between the two vertices of the support rollers 1, 2, in order to provide a sufficient sealing surface for winding rollers 4 with a large diameter to back up. They are slidably mounted in the axial direction - that is to say transversely to the path 5 - on lateral pivot arms 13, the pivot axis of which runs somewhat eccentrically offset to the outside on the connecting line between the two carrier roller axes.
  • the sealing elements 12 can thus be pivoted out of the roller bed 3 over the support roller 2 into a position in which the lateral guide heads can be moved into the sleeves 6.
  • the low eccentricity means that the side surfaces of the sealing elements 12 facing the support rollers 1, 2 move somewhat away from the respective support roller surface when swiveling out, for example in order to be able to remove paper residues.
