Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for producing a false twist textured elastic bulk yarn.
  • elastomer fibers made of both rubber and thermoplastic materials.
  • the elastane fibers which belong to the elastomer fibers, if they consist of multifilaments glued together, have poor textile properties.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a simple method which imparts textile and highly elastic properties to an unglued multifilament elastomer thread.
  • an elastomeric multifilament thread has been successfully textured.
  • the textured elastomer threads have a higher elongation and hardly any change in strength, and the course of the stretch is flatter and more regular than that of the smooth elastomer thread.
  • the textile character of the highly elastic bulk yarn produced has the advantage that it can be directly processed into a textile fabric.
  • the multifilament thread at a speed of at least 200 m / min and the backed-up thread which has been heat-set at 140 to 190 ° C., preferably at 160 to 190 ° C., at a tension in front of the texturing unit of 0.5 to 3.0 cN / tex, preferably 1.0 to 2.0 cN / tex to be textured using a friction disc unit.
  • the friction texturing is preferably carried out with a Positorq ® unit, in which the thread is delivered positively and thus has less tension after the unit.
  • the multifilament bulk yarn obtained is characterized by high elasticity and unglued, homogeneous fibrils.
  • polyether esters polyether esters, polyester esters, polyether ester amides and polyether amides have proven to be particularly suitable as the starting material for texturing.
  • Suitable as soft segments are the polyalkylene oxides or aliphatic polyesters made from dicarboxylic acids or their alkyl esters and diols, dimer fatty acid esters etc., and also polycaprolactones, and as hard segments polyalkylene terephthalates such as polyethylene and polybutylene terephthalate, which can additionally be modified with comonomers such as isophthalic acid, or polyamides.
  • the melting point of the bulk yarn according to the invention is at least 200 ° C.
  • the plain yarns are produced by melt spinning these polymers in a spin draw process.
  • the bulk yarn obtained is characterized by a degree of crimp of at least 40% and a crimp resistance of greater than 50%.
  • a multifilament thread 2 is guided at a throughput speed of 200 m / min over a thread guide 3 and a thread brake 4 and is twisted between a first delivery unit and a second delivery unit 9 by a friction twisting unit 8.
  • a contact heater 6 is connected downstream of the delivery mechanism 5. Both delivery plants 5, 9 work at the same speed.
  • a backing thread 7 is fixed in the contact heater 6 heated to 180 ° C. and then guided through the geometry of the friction disks of the friction thread unit 8. The positive delivery from the friction unit 8 enables working with a higher tension before and a lower tension after the friction twisting unit 8.

  • the remaining strain is obtained from the strain hysteresis.
  • the sample is stretched and relieved 5 times to 80% of its elongation at break without interruption. Then wait in the relaxed state for 2 minutes before stretching again.
  • the stretch at which the force absorption begins is called the permanent stretch.
  • the textured yarns obtained with good elastic properties are particularly suitable for stockings, elastic fabrics for sports and outerwear. But knitwear and knitwear of all kinds can also be produced with the yarn according to the invention.
  • the threads according to the invention can be used as cladding threads for the production of bi-elastic knitwear for sportswear. Alternating cladding is possible with polyamide, polyester, cotton or viscose as the basic thread. The relatively low melting point of the elastic bulk yarn can be used to advantage in the cladding.
