Definitions

  • the present invention relates to heel holding devices of safety ski bindings according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Such heel holding devices are known for example from DE-A-2803647.
  • an opening lever is provided which is mounted in the supporting part parallel to the sole holder and can be actuated by train.
  • the arrangement is such that the rolling body located at the rear in the opening direction of the sole holder can be influenced by the opening lever for arbitrary opening of the device in such a way that there is initially a greater load on the sole holder in the sense of closing.
  • the purpose of the present invention is therefore to design and design the generic heel holding devices in such a way that the disadvantages described are avoided.
  • a simplification of the construction is to be achieved so that few individual parts are required and more economical production is possible.
  • the sole holder and the opening lever are expediently mounted coaxially to one another. This results in an extremely simple design of the heel holding device.
  • the main features of the invention can also be realized in versions in which the opening lever is mounted on its own axis either in the support part or in the sole holder.
  • the guide section of the link must have a length that corresponds to twice the diameter of the rolling body.
  • the link preferably has a tangential free space with respect to the axis of the opening lever.
  • a helical tension spring is provided as the spring acting on the rolling elements.
  • a gas spring can also be used not so cheaply.
  • Combined with a spring cage can also use a compression spring in a manner known per se.
  • at least two springs can be provided and connected in parallel.
  • a holding spring loading the opening lever engages the sole holder with its second end in the sense of opening. It has proven to be advantageous that a leg spring mounted on the axis of the sole holder serves as the retaining spring.
  • the heel-holding device shown of a safety ski binding has a support part 1 which can be fastened on a ski in any known manner.
  • the attachment can take place directly or indirectly via a turntable or a rail-like base plate which enables longitudinal displacement.
  • Two cheeks 2, 3 extend vertically upward from the base of the supporting part, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2. These cheeks carry an axis 4 which is horizontal and transverse to the longitudinal direction of the ski in relation to the position of use of the device.
  • a sole holder 5 is pivotally mounted, which is provided in the usual way with a closing pedal 6.
  • the sole holder is under the influence of a helical tension spring 7, which is suspended with its two ends on a roller body 8 or 9 (see FIG. 2).
  • the cheeks 2, 3 are congruent.
  • Each cheek has a track for each rolling element 8, 9, which is composed of two sections 10, 11 and 12, 13, respectively.
  • the sole holder 5 also has a track for each rolling element 8, 9, which is composed of the sections 14, 15 and 16, 17, respectively.
  • the two sections of each track run at an angle to one another, the sections 12, 16 and 11, 15 directed towards the other rolling elements 9, 8 being curved about the axis 4 of the sole holder 5.
  • the sections 11 and 14 form a locking trough for the rolling body 8
  • the sections 13, 16 form a locking trough for the rolling body 9.
  • the heel holding device also has an opening lever 18 designed as a pressure lever in the form of an essentially U-shaped sheet metal stamping.
  • the web 19 is provided in the usual way with a depression 20, which is used to insert a ski pole tip.
  • the opening lever is also mounted on the axis 4 on the support member 1.
  • Each leg has a link 23 into which the rolling body 8 extends with one end each.
  • the link has a guide section 24, the length of which in the present case corresponds to twice the diameter of the rolling body and which extends approximately radially to the axis 4. Starting from this guide section, the link has a free space 25 which extends essentially tangentially to the axis 4 and which gives the rolling element 8 a sufficient possibility of movement without taking the opening lever 18 with it.
  • the heel holding device is ready for entry.
  • the sole holder pivots in a clockwise direction with respect to the illustration by loading the closing pedal 6. This takes place initially against the force of the helical tension spring 7.
  • the aforementioned trigger point is conversely now the closing point, after reaching which the sole holder is pivoted into its closed position under the influence of the helical tension spring.
  • the opening lever 18 is to be pivoted counterclockwise.
  • the rolling element 8 is carried along by the guide section 24 of the link 23 in the opening lever.
  • the sole holder 5 can be pivoted practically without force in the opening direction.
  • FIGS. 4 and 6 A comparison of FIGS. 4 and 6 reveals that the opening lever 18 can be moved relative to the sole holder 5. This possibility of movement results from the free space 25 of the link 23 and has the advantage that the opening lever does not necessarily have to participate in all movements of the sole holder during skiing. So that the heel holding device does not have a freely movable part even in the open state, the opening lever 18 is loaded by a conventional and not shown holding spring, which pivots it back after actuation from the position according to FIG. 6 into that according to FIG. 4.
  • This spring can, for example, as a leg formed spring and mounted on the axis 4 with its second end to attack the sole holder 5 and load it in the sense of opening. In this way, the sole holder can automatically swing open when the opening lever is actuated.
  • the sole holder 5 has a corresponding free space 26 on the inside (see FIG. 2) and a slot 27 on both sides thereof (see FIG. 1) as free space for the legs 21, 22 of the opening lever.
  • the supporting part has a pin-like bearing part which is arranged centrally, and in which case a spring is located on both sides of this bearing part is arranged.
  • Both springs can also be arranged outside the sole holder.
  • the rolling elements are to be made long enough and the elongated holes necessary for the relative movement are to be provided in the side walls of the sole holder.
