Definitions
- the invention relates to a drum washing machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the washing machine in use today still has the problem of achieving better utilization of the detergents and detergents used.
- a considerable loss of detergent can be caused, in particular, by the fact that the detergent which has been flushed in settles in the drain system of the machine and flows off unused with the subsequent pumping process.
- numerous proposals have already become known, which either did not lead to the desired success or were not feasible in practice.
- a washing machine of the type in question has become known from DE-U-78 13 695, in which a sealing valve device made of a hollow plastic ball is arranged in the bellows-like drain socket of the tub, through which the flow of the washing liquor to the drain pump is either blocked or released.
- a feed line connected to the fresh water supply is connected to the drain pump.
- the fresh water entering the washing machine does not initially flow into the detergent cistern, but is fed directly into the bellows-like drainage mares via the feed line.
- the hollow plastic ball of the sealing valve device is brought into its sealing position and held in this position by the hydrostatic water pressure.
- the drain socket closed in this way ensures that no detergent or treatment agent can get into the drain system where it would be lost for the subsequent washing process. Because of the size of the liquor flow opening to be closed by the valve device in the drain connection and the simplicity of the valve used, and the possibility of contamination of the valve sealing seat due to deposits of detergent or laundry fluff, which cannot be underestimated, it cannot be ensured that the water column serving the valve closure in the drain hose with longer downtimes, e.g. B. over several days, due to valve leaks in the tub. The advantage of avoiding detergent losses would then no longer exist.
- the invention is based on the object, by simple measures, to ensure that the valve device arranged in the drain system of the washing machine is automatically and thus reliably brought into its position closing the drain system before the start or start of a washing program.
- the solution to this problem according to the invention is that before the start of the fresh water supply into the tub, the tub pump is first briefly put into operation.
- the drain pump is switched on before the start of each laundry treatment program via the machine-side program switching mechanism, the control disc of which controls the drain pump or emptying pump is designed accordingly.
- the duration of the start-up of the drain pump is adjusted in such a way that the residual or collected water pumped out of the drain container is only pumped with certainty into a collection space formed in the drain hose and is not conveyed into the sewage network.
- the increased intake volume of the drain hose or a corresponding storage or additional container for the residual or collecting water is provided at the highest point of the drain hose.
- valve device for preventing the loss of detergent and fabric softener in drum washing machines is specified for the stated purpose, which is particularly simple and reliable is working.
- This valve device consists of an elastic flap valve which is held in the closed position by the hydrostatic water pressure in the drain hose and possibly in the vent line of the drain hose.
- the drum washing machine (1) has a detergent dispenser drawer (2) of known design in its upper area for receiving powdery and / or liquid treatment agents.
- a fresh water supply line (3) to the detergent dispenser drawer (2) is controlled in the usual way by a solenoid valve (not shown) depending on the program.
- the washing drum (4) of the drum washing machine (1) is arranged all around in a tub (5).
- the tub (5) has a bellows-like (flexible) drain connection (6) on the bottom, to which a vent line (7) is connected.
- the bellows-type drain connector (6) connects to a drain pump (8) which empties the tub (5) and to which a drain hose (9) is attached.
- a small additional container (10) is expediently arranged or formed in the drain hose (9) to increase its volume.
- the bellows-type outlet connector (6) is equipped with a valve device which is expediently designed as a flap valve (11), the details of which are shown in more detail in FIGS. 2 to 6.
- This flap valve device is intended to prevent detergent from getting into the drain system of the drum-type washing machine when the detergent is flushed out of the detergent dispenser drawer (2), from where it is conveyed into the sewage network unused for the washing process.
- the aforesaid flap valve device (11) in the bellows-shaped drain connector (6) consists of a valve support plate (12) which can be inserted into the drain connector (6) and is centered there, the underside (13) of which is directed towards the drain pump (8), a molded mushroom (14 ) for unbuttoning a valve flap (15) made of elastic material (eg rubber).
- a valve flap (15) is provided with a slit-like buttonhole - (16) and in contact with the underside (13) of the Valve carrier plate (12) tightly seals a flow opening (17) formed in it, and two adjacent pins (19, 19 ') are formed on the top (18) of the valve carrier plate (12).
- the folding valve device - (11) to prevent the detergent leakage or loss from the tub (5) works in such a way that the drain pump (8 emptying pump) is controlled so that after it is switched off, the level h2 is both in the appropriately dimensioned drain hose (9) as well as in the ventilation line (7) with sufficient security is always higher than the highest level h1 in any washing program of the machine, ie h2 must always be greater than h1.
- the valve flap (15) is thus pressed against its valve seat by the hydrostatic water pressure present and the flow opening (17) in the valve support plate (12) is closed.
- the detergent flushed from the detergent dispenser (2) into the tub (5) thus remains in the tub (5) and cannot settle into the drain system of the washing machine.
- the duration of the start-up of the drain pump (8) is chosen so that the residual water to be pumped out of the drain container is safely pumped into the collecting space or additional container (10) provided in the drain hose (9) at its highest point.
- the suds pump (8) is briefly switched on before the start of each laundry treatment program via the machine-side program switch.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 2 und 3: die Unter-und Oberseite einer Ventilträgerplätte,
- Figur 4: einen senkrecht und
- Fig. 5: einen waagrechten Schnitt durch die Ventrilträgerplatte,
- Fig. 6: eine an der Ventilträgerplatte anbringbare Ventilklappe.
