Claims (3)

1. Procédé de réduction de la teneur en Nox des gaz de fumée produits lors du chauffage des fours à coke comportant des carneaux coopérant par paires, des étages de combustion situés en position haute et en position basse, ainsi qu'un recyclage des gaz de fumée au niveau de la sole des carneaux de chauffage (circuit fermé), caractérisé par la combinaison des caractéristiques suivantes:
a) le taux de recyclage, c'est-à-dire le débit volumique des gaz de fumée recyclés, divisés par le débit volumique de gaz de fumée sans gas de fumée recyclés, est réglé entre 20% et 50%,
b) le rapport d'étage, c'est-à-dire, dans le fonctionnement en gaz forts, le courant volumique d'air de l'étage inférieur, divisé par le courant volumique d'air total et, en fonctionnement en gas faible, la somme du courant volumique d'air et du courant volumique de gaz faible de l'étage inférieur, divisé par la somme du courant volumique total d'air et de gaz faible, est réglée sur une valeur comprise entre 40% et 70%,
c) le deuxième étage de combustion est placé à une hauteur comprise entre 35% et 50% de la hauteur des carneaux de chauffage.
2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé par le fait que le taux de recyclage est réglé sur une valeur comprise entre 35% et 45% et le rapport d'étage sur une valeur comprise entre 50% et 65% et par le fait que le deuxième étage de combustion est agencé à un niveau compris entre 40% et 50% de la hauteur des carneaux de chauffage.
3. Four à coke pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé selon les revendications 1 et 2, caractérisé par le fait que l'arrivée d'air secondaire et l'arrivée de gaz pauvre secondaire (11) alimentant les deuxièmes étages de combustion situés en position haute sont agencés exclusivement à l'intérieur des cloisons de liaison (18) qui limitent respectivement les paires de carneaux (1) de chauffage, l'arrivée (9) d'air secondaire et l'arrivée (11) de gaz pauvre secondaire débouchant respectivement des deux côtés des cloisons de liaison (18) dans les carneaux (2) de chauffage adjacents à ces cloisons et d'un même niveau.
