Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sewing machine with a tensioning device according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a sewing machine according to the preamble of claim 1 is known (DE-PS 21 55068) which has two drum-shaped fabric supports which are movable relative to the sewing device and has fabric holding clamps arranged thereon, one of which partially pre-sewn cuff, the other of which holds the sleeve.
  • the sleeve can be inserted into the open side of the cuff and then both sewing parts are clamped on a temporarily rotating drum until the still open side of the cuff is sewn.
  • the drum of the known sewing machine does not allow the clamping of tubular, largely inelastic sewing material, the circumference of the opening of the tubular sewing material being subject to fluctuations in production and size.
  • a clamping device for sewing machines with at least two drivable clamping parts is known (DE-PS 2948498). which is suitable for holding and aligning tubular workpieces.
  • the known tensioning device does not allow the stretching of trousers and skirts to which belt loops are to be sewn at predetermined intervals.
  • the invention specified in claim 1 has for its object to provide a tensioning device which enables the tensioning of tubular, largely inelastic material, in particular the tensioning of trousers and skirts with waist sizes of different sizes.
  • the tension drum is adjustable according to claim 5 with respect to the top of the throat plate.
  • 1 shows a sewing machine equipped with at least one sewing needle 90, preferably a double lockstitch short seam machine in a conventional design
  • 2 shows a loop feed device known per se, both of which are mounted on a table top 47 of a machine frame 3.
  • the loop feeder 2 is loaded with a prefabricated, rolled-up loop band.
  • a slider of the loop feeder 2 pushes the front end of the loop band against an adjustable stop and a cutting device, which also belongs to the loop feeder 2, cuts a loop piece with a predeterminable length from the loop band.
  • This loop piece is gripped by folding fingers 85 in a known manner and its two ends are folded down.
  • the belt loop 86 prepared in this way is placed sideways under the presser of the sewing machine 1 and positioned on the sewing part held tensioned by means of a tension drum 21, which is indicated by 87 in FIG. 2.
  • a tensioning device 20 essentially consists of the tensioning drum 21 and a swivel arm 16, the main components of which are a spar 15, a bearing body 18 and an intermediate piece 50, the latter two being firmly connected to the spar 15.
  • a support 4 is formed from two guide blocks 9 and 10 which are fixedly connected to a cover plate 8. With the table top 47, the bearing blocks 5 and 6 are firmly connected, in which a guide rod 7 is mounted. The latter is by means of known fasteners, for. B. screws in the bearing blocks 5, 6 locked.
  • Commercially available ball bushings mounted in the guide blocks 9, 10 enable the support 4, which is secured against rotation, to be moved almost frictionlessly after being pushed onto the guide rod 7.
  • the said displacement is limited by adjustable stops and is made possible by at least one cylinder to which a pressure medium can be applied or by at least one electromagnet in a manner known per se.
  • a rotatably arranged pivot axis 17 is mounted in a downward leg 13, which is fixed to the guide bock 10 is connected. The latter takes up the rotatable but not displaceable intermediate piece 50 (not shown in FIG. 2).
  • a yoke 11 is attached to the cover plate 8 and an angle 14 is attached to the spar 15.
  • At least one commercially available cylinder 12, which can be acted upon by a pressure medium, is arranged between the yoke 11 and the angle 14. The latter causes the pivoting of the swivel arm 16 in the directions indicated by two arrows in FIG. 1, whereby an almost flush alignment of the circumference of the tensioning drum 21 to the top of the needle plate 88 is made possible.
  • the tensioning drum 21 essentially consists of at least three tensioning segments 22 which can be displaced radially towards or away from the center 82 and a link plate 23.
  • a ring 25 which has bores 26 which run symmetrically to the center of the grooves 24 is fastened to the link plate 23.
  • a displaceable bolt 27 is mounted in each bore 26.
  • the link plate 23 has a number of grooves 24 corresponding to the number of the clamping segments 22.
  • a bolt 27 projects into each groove 24 and is connected in an articulated manner to a link 28. The articulated connection just mentioned to maintain the pin also takes up two rollers 29 which roll in the groove 24 when the bolt 27 is displaced.
  • a cover flange 30 located on the ring 25 has openings 83 running symmetrically to the grooves 24, which enable the passage of each link 28.
  • the partially covered by the cover flange 30 grooves 24 enables a positive and relatively low-friction guidance of the rollers 29.
  • a bracket 31 is pivotally connected to the bolt 27.
  • the bearing eye 61 which is flattened on both sides, projects into a slot 59 in the block 31.
  • the articulated connection between the block 31 and the bolt 27 is produced by a pin 60.
  • a leaf spring 32 fastened to the bracket 31 has a slot in its center through which the bearing eye 61 protrudes. The leaf spring 32 enables the horizontal position of the bracket 31 to be stabilized when the clamping segment 22 is unloaded.
  • the bearing eyes of the link 28 closest to the center 82 are connected in an articulated manner to a link ring 33 which has a number of star-shaped tabs 84 corresponding to the number of grooves 24.
  • a rod 35 is rotatably connected to the articulation ring 33.
  • the angular bearing body 18 is fastened to the spar 15.
  • a hollow shaft 34 is rotatably supported by means of roller bearings.
  • the axial bore located in the hollow shaft 34 receives the displaceable rod 35.
  • the hollow shaft 34 and the link plate 23 are secured against rotation by means of a pin 36 and a corresponding slot in the flange of the hollow shaft 34 and are firmly connected to one another by a nut 37.
  • the eyes 62 on the left and right each hold a cylinder 39 or 41 that can be pressurized.
  • a plate 42 is attached, which is displaceable on two guide pins 46. The latter are each fastened in one eye 62.
  • a rotatable bush 43 is mounted in the plate 42 and is fixed in position by an adjusting ring 44. After tightening a screw 45, the rod 35 is firmly connected to the socket 43.
  • An actuator 48 is attached to the downward leg of the bearing body 18 and consists of an electric motor 49, known per se, equipped with an incremental encoder or with an angle encoder.
  • a toothed disk 51 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the shaft end of the actuator 48.
  • the temporary rotary movement of the actuator 48 which takes place in predeterminable angular steps, must be translated into a lower rotational speed with which the tensioning drum 21 is to move during an angular step.
  • a three-stage toothed belt transmission known per se is used.
  • the intermediate shafts 80, 81 are mounted in the downward leg of the bearing body 18 by means of roller bearings.
  • the toothed disks 52, 53 are connected to the intermediate shaft 80 and the toothed disks 54, 56 are connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the intermediate shaft 81.
  • a toothed disk 57 is connected to the hollow shaft 34 in a rotationally fixed manner.
  • the toothed pulleys 51, 52 are positively connected to one another via a crossed toothed belt, not shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
  • the toothed pulleys 53, 54 are positively connected to one another via a toothed belt 55 and the toothed pulleys 56, 57 via a toothed belt 58.
  • a tubular sewing part 87 preferably a pair of trousers or a skirt, is pulled over the tensioning drum 21 in the waistband region and brought under the ventilated presser of the sewing machine 1 in a manner suitable for sewing.
  • the center 82 Since this difference in level is detrimental to a proper sewing process, the center 82 must be displaced in the opposite direction proportionally with the displacement of the tensioning segments 22 (cf. the arrows in FIG. 1). Said center shift is made possible by the swivel arm 16, which is swiveled by at least one double-acting cylinder 12 which can be pressurized with a pressure medium. The pressure medium is applied according to a predetermined program, whereby automatic, almost flush alignment of the circumference of the tensioning drum 21 to the top of the needle plate 88 is made possible.
  • Both compressed air and a hydraulic medium can be used to act on the cylinder 12 as well as all other cylinders belonging to the subject of the invention.
  • a sewing part 87 e.g. B. a pair of pants has been picked up by the tensioning device 21 and positioned at the sewing point in accordance with the markings
  • the sewing process e.g. B. begin sewing on a belt loop 86 previously folded by the loop feeder 2 and placed under the presser.
  • the short seam A shown in FIG. 6 is sewn.
  • the support 4 is moved to the right (see FIG. 2) against an adjustable stop.
  • the swivel arm 16 is simultaneously moved - without being swiveled - and the tensioning drum 21 is moved to the right with it.
  • the short seam B (Fig. 6) is sewn.
  • the Support 4 moves back to its starting position.
  • the tensioning drum 21 is then rotated into a different position by the electric motor 49 which is now put into operation in accordance with the angular step specified by the incremental encoder or by the angle encoder.
  • the size of each preselectable angle step depends on the number of belt loops 86 to be sewn on and on their position in relation to the said fixed point on the sewing part 87.
  • the position of the belt loops 86 is only dependent on the predetermined angle step, but not on the respective waist size.
  • the tensioning segments 22 are shifted towards the center 82. Now it is possible to load the tensioning drum 21 in its current position or - after its rotation by the electric motor 49 - in its starting position with a sewing part 87 not yet provided with belt loops 86, and then said sewing process takes place in the manner described above.
  • tensioning drums 21 with different outer diameters is appropriate.
  • a change from one to another tensioning drum 21 is relatively easy after the nut 37 has been removed and the screw 45 has been unscrewed. Now one tension drum 21 is pulled off the hollow shaft 34 and another is properly placed on the latter and secured by said two screw connections.
  • the level difference between the tension drum 21 now installed and the top of the throat plate 88 is - as described above - compensated for by at least one cylinder 12.
