- ink metering device In another known ink metering device (DE-AS 2228625) zone-wide individual sections are provided for metering the amount of ink, each of which can be adjusted via actuators relative to the ink fountain roller. It is irrelevant whether the individual sections are formed by slits of a continuous color knife or whether they are individual pieces of color meter that are arranged next to one another. In both versions, it is necessary to cover the individual sections with a film or a thin color knife in order to prevent them from becoming dirty and sticking to one another. This results in a two-layer construction, with the thinner, upper layer to adapt more or less to the lower control elements.
- this adjustment can, of course, only be done imperfectly, since the adjusting elements, which are gradually offset with respect to one another, do not allow the thin cover knife or the film to be nestled perfectly.
