Definitions

  • the invention relates to a glass trimming machine according to the preamble of the claim (D E-Al -2 756 443).
  • GB-A-1 486458 a system for the automatic grinding of glass panes is known, in which the loading and unloading device consist of conveyor belts which interact with another conveyor belt provided on a turntable.
  • the glass pane to be ground must first be arranged on the non-adjustable individual belts of the feed conveyor belt and aligned by means of stops.
  • the conveyor belts of the loading and unloading device can be displaced horizontally against the turntable conveyor belt and can be coupled to it via a latching mechanism, the loading - And the unloading conveyor belt can be brought into a frictional connection with the rotary table conveyor belt via an intermediate roller, so that the conveyor belt provided on the rotary table is driven by the loading and (or) the unloading conveyor belt.
  • the glass pane previously arranged on the loading conveyor belt is conveyed onto the turntable or from there onto the unloading conveyor belt.
  • DE-A1-2756443 which does not belong to the prior art, relates to a glass trimming machine of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the rail protrudes on the turntable side to such an extent that it covers the conveying path of the turntable in each case by about a third, which improves the aforementioned system in that the glass panes can be conveyed from the loading station on the turntable or into the clamping device of the copy grinding machine and also from the clamping device into the unloading station with respect to their horizontal angular position.
  • the glass trimming machine according to DE-A1-2 756 443 has proven itself in principle. However, it has been shown that the mutual assignment of the hoists, particularly at high throughput, cannot be easily maintained with the required accuracy, so that the achievable working speed during loading and unloading is limited.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of further developing the glass trimming machine according to DE-A1-2756443 in such a way that the mutual exact assignment of the hoists is ensured even at high loading and unloading speeds, so that the throughput can be increased overall.
  • this object is achieved in that the rails form a continuous roadway spanning the turntable and the two hoists are connected to one another via a coupling rod which can be adjusted in terms of its length in accordance with the length of the glass panes to be processed.
  • the disks which are aligned in the loading station are held against rotation when the disk is conveyed by the hoists from the loading conveyor belt to the turntable and from there onto the unloading conveyor belt, so that the necessity there is no need to readjust the workpieces in the processing station or the machine does not need to be constantly monitored by an operator in this regard.
  • the fact that the rails are designed as a continuous roadway and the two hoists are firmly connected to each other via the adjustable coupling rod the mutual assignment of the two hoists, once set, can be reliably maintained, even at high working speeds, with one of the newly added glass panes then being taken in at the same time processed disc is removed from the turntable and discharged.
  • the embodiment of the system according to the invention shown there has a turntable 12 which is arranged horizontally with a vertical axis of rotation 10 and which is connected via a gear (not shown) a speed-controllable DC motor, also not shown, can be driven.
  • the turntable 12 is provided with a plurality, preferably four suction cups 28, 30, which hold a glass pane 26 placed thereon by means of negative pressure.
  • the actual glass trimming machine (copy grinding machine) has the same structure as in DE-A1-2 756 443, so that reference is made to this for further explanation.
  • the glass trimming machine also has a feed path 19 and a discharge path 23, each of which is provided with conveyor belts 21, which in turn have a motor drive 25 and are used to transport the glass panes 26 to be machined or machined.
  • a feed path 19 and a discharge path 23 each of which is provided with conveyor belts 21, which in turn have a motor drive 25 and are used to transport the glass panes 26 to be machined or machined.
  • rails 66 are fastened to stands 60, 82, which form a carriageway that extends continuously from the stand 60 to the stand 82 via the turntable 12 and in each case to the left or extends to the right beyond the stands 60, 82.
  • the rails 66 are formed from U-profiles, in which a feed or discharge lifting device 74, 90, which is driven by a cable drive 72 and is linearly reciprocable like a trolley, is supported by means of running wheels 68, 70.
  • the cable drive 72 is guided over deflection pulleys attached to the ends of the rails 66, of which only the deflection pulley 27 provided on the right is shown in the drawing, while the deflection pulley corresponding to it on the left has progressed along line A.
  • the feed-hoist 74 has suction cups 78, 80 arranged one behind the other in the manner shown in the drawing, which, as shown, on a glass pane 26 to be machined on the feed path 19 by means of the conveyor belts 21, depending on its size, either in the position of the Suction cups 78, 80 or, in the case of smaller glass panes, are lowered in that of position 78 ', 80'.
  • the discharge hoist 90 has suction cups 79, 81 for receiving the glass pane 26.
  • the two hoists 74, 90 are rigidly connected to one another via a coupling rod 31, the length of which can be adapted to the size of the glass panes 26 to be processed, so that the feed hoist 74 and the discharge hoist 90 are formed on the common rail 66 Roadway at a distance adapted to the respective dimension of the glass panes 26 are rigidly connected to one another by means of the coupling rod 31.
  • the suction cups 78, 80 are arranged above the glass pane 26.
  • the glass plate 26 fixed on the turntable 12 by means of the suction cups 28, 30 is finished, the turntable 12 being guided into its end or discharge position, which has an angular displacement of approximately 365 degrees with respect to the feed or discharge position has, since the turntable 12 had been rotated during the processing of the glass pane 26 to prevent noses remaining at the edge of the glass pane 26 beyond the end position of 360 degrees, for example 5 degrees, and is turned back into the end position during the pane change.
  • the discharge hoist 90 has been moved into its receiving position located above the turntable 12.
  • the motor drive 25, like that of the discharge track 23, is automatically switched off, as a result of which the conveyor belts 17 and 21 become driveless.
  • the suction cups 78, 80 of the feed hoist 74 and the suction cups 79, 81 of the discharge hoist 90 are, by means of their respective piston-cylinder units, on the glass pane 26 to be processed, which is brought up by the conveyor belt 17, to be processed, or on the one on the turntable 12 , on the other hand, the finished glass pane 26 is lowered, and at the same time the peripheral grinding disks are moved by 10-100 mm from the edge of the disk 26 already machined by means of their associated piston-cylinder unit.
  • the suction cups 78, 80 and 79, 81 are subjected to negative pressure, so that the two glass panes 26 are sucked in, while at the same time the suction cups 28, 30 of the turntable 12 release the pane 26 by being ventilated. Then the suction cups 78, 80 and 79, 81 by means of their respective Piston cylinder units raised. Then the hoists 74, 90 are moved from their starting positions into their respective end-lower positions, as seen in the drawing, so that at the same time the finished glass pane 26 is transported to the discharge path 23 by means of the hoist 90 and lies on the feed path 19 Glass plate 26 are placed on the suction cups 28, 30 of the turntable 12.
  • the suction cups 28, 30 are then subjected to a vacuum, while at the same time the suction cups 78 ", 80" or 79 ", 81" are ventilated and thus release the respective glass pane 26.
  • the hoists 74, 90 without having sucked in a glass pane, are returned from the end positions reached in this way on the right in the drawing to the left end positions (position of the suction cups 78, 80 and 79, 81) and the feed path 19 or the discharge conveyor 23 are put into operation again by means of their motor drives, in order on the one hand to bring in a new glass pane 26 and on the other hand to feed the finished, processed glass pane 26 placed on the conveyor belt 21 for further processing, the rotary table 12 guides through the piston-cylinder unit after the peripheral grinding disks have been moved in a full revolution of slightly more than 360 degrees, for example 365 degrees, with the entire edge of the glass pane 26 being gripped at the same time. This is done essentially in the manner described in the description of DE-A1-2756443
