Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Scharnierverbindung zum Anlenken einer Wandtafel einer Duschtrennwand an eine andere Wandtafel bzw. an die Raumwand. Auf der einen Seite einer Wandtafel (2, 4) bzw. an der Raumwand ist ein rohrartiger, zylindrischer Körper (22) befestigt, der sich über die gesamte Höhe der angelenkten Wandtafel (2, 4) erstreckt. In den Innenraum (24) des zylindrischen Körpers (22) greift jeweils von oben und von unten ein auf der anderen Seite der angelenkten Wandtafel (4, 2) befestigter Schwenkzapfen (28) ein. Auf der die beiden Schwenkzapfen (28) tragenden Seite ist ein den zylindrischen Hohlkörper (22) umfassender Spritzschutz (34) angeordnet.

Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Scharnierverbindung zum Anlenken einer Wandtafel einer Duschtrennwand an eine andere Wandtafel bzw. an die Raumwand.
  • Die deutsche Patentschrift 23 14 446 zeigt eine derartige Scharnierverbindung, die verwendet wird, um eine Wandtafel einer Duschtrennwand an einer Raumwand anzulenken oder zwei Tafeln der Duschtrennwand gelenkig miteinander zu verbinden. Diese bekannte Scharnierverbindung besteht aus Scharnier-Ösen, die abwechselnd auf der einen Seite (der Raumwand oder einer Wandtafel) und auf der anderen Seite (einer Wandtafel) befestigt und durch einen durchgehenden Scharnierstift miteinander verbunden sind.
  • Preiswerter herzustellen sind an sich bekannte Scharnierverbindungen, die einen auf der einen Seite befestigten zylindrischen Körper aufweisen, der sich über die Höhe der Scharnierverbindung erstreckt und in dessen zylindrischen Innenraum jeweils von oben und von unten ein auf der anderen Seite befestigter Schwenkzapfen schwenkbar eingreift. Derartige an sich bekannte und besonders preiswerte Scharnierverbindungen wurden bei Duschtrennwänden bisher nicht verwendet, da bei diesen Scharnierverbindungen das Problem auftritt, daß Spritzwasser in der Scharnierverbindung austreten kann; dieses Problem tritt bei der Konstruktion der Deutschen Patentschrift 2 314 446 nicht auf.
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Scharnierverbindung der eingangs genannten Art zu schaffen, die preiswert herzustellen ist und bei der ein Austreten von Spritzwasser verhindert wird.
  • Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß auf der einen Seite einer Wandtafel bzw. an der Raumwand ein zylindrischer Körper befestigt ist, der sich über die gesamte Höhe der angelenkten Wandtafel erstreckt und in dessen zylindrischen Innenraum jeweils von oben und von unten ein auf der anderen Seite der angelenkten Wandtafel befestigter Schwenkzapfen eingreift, wobei auf der die beiden Schwenkzapfen tragenden Seite ein den zylindrischen Hohlkörper umfassender Spritzschutz angeordnet ist.
  • Das Wasser wird durch den Spritzschutz zurückgehalten, der an der angelenkten Wandtafel angeordnet ist und den Hohlkörper schürzenartig umgibt.
  • Vorteilhaft liegt der Spritzschutz dem zylindrischen Hohlkörper mit geringfügigem Spiel über einen derartigen Winkelbereich an, daß dieser Spritzschutz die Schwenkung in der Scharnierverbindung auf 1800 begrenzt.
  • Dies bringt nicht nur den Vorteil mit sich, daß der Spritzschutz die Schwenkung in der Scharnierverbindung auf den gewünschten Wert von 180° begrenzt, sondern bringt es auch mit sich, daß der Spritzschutz den zylindrischen Hohlkörper so weit umfaßt, wie dies in Anbetracht der gewünschten Begrenzung der Schwenkung der Scharnierverbindung überhaupt möglich ist; man erreicht so die höchstmögliche Wirksamkeit des Spritzschutzes.
  • Die erfindungsgemäße Scharnierverbindung wird meist Verwendung finden zur Verbindung zweier Tafeln einer Duschtrennwand, bei der die Rahmen der Wandtafeln als Kammerprofile ausgebildet sind und eine Außenwand (d.h. eine dem Trockenraum zugewandte Wand) und eine Innenwand (d.h. eine dem Feuchtraum oder Duschraum zugewandte Wand) aufweisen. Bei einer derartigen Konstruktion ist vorteilhaft der zylindrische Hohlkörper an einer Innenwand einer Tafel angebracht, wobei der Spritzschutz zwischen den Hohlkörper einerseits und der Außenwand dieser Tafel andererseits eingreift und wobei die Außenwände beider verbundener Wandtafeln miteinander eine Labyrinthdichtung bilden, d.h. vorteilhaft einander überlappen.
  • Die erfindungsgemäße Scharnierverbindung ist in den Zeichnungen schematisch dargestellt. Es zeigt:
    • Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Ansicht der erfindungsgemäßen Scharnierverbindung,
    • Fig. 2 eine Ansicht von zwei mittels der erfindungsgemäßen Scharnierverbindung miteinander verbundenen Wandtafeln und
    • Fig. 3 einen Schnitt durch den Gegenstand der Fig. 2 längs der Linie III-III.
  • Die erfindungsgemäße Scharnierverbindung verbindet zwei Duschtafeln 2 und 4 einer faltbaren Duschtrennwand miteinander. Die linke Duschtrennwand 2 und die rechte Duschtrennwand 4 bestehen jeweils aus Rahmen 6 bzw. 8, die als Kammerprofile ausgebildet sind. Der Querschnitt dieser Kammerprofile 6 und 8 ist in Fig. 3 zu erkennen; diese Kammerprofile tragen einerseits die durchscheinenden Wandtafeln 10 bzw. 12 und sind andererseits mittels der erfindungsgemäßen Scharnierverbindung miteinander verbunden.
  • Das Kammerprofil 6 weist eine Außenwand 14 und eine Innenwand 16 auf; in gleicher Weise hat das rechte Kammerprofil 8 eine Außenwand 18 und eine Innenwand 20. In der in Fig. 3 dargestellten aufgeklappten Stellung fluchten die Außenwände 14 und 18 einerseits und die Innenwände 16 und 20 andererseits miteinander. - Als "Innen"-Wände 16 und 20 sind die dem Innern der Duschkabine zugewandten Wände der Kammerprofile 6, 8 bezeichnet.
  • Der zylindrische Körper 22 ist auf der einen Seite an der Innenwand 16 des Kammerprofils 6 der linken Duschtrennwand 2 befestigt, d.h. mit ihr einteilig ausgebildet. Der zylindrische Hohlkörper 22 weist einen hohlen zylindrischen Innenraum 24 auf.
  • Mittels zweier Schrauben 25 und 26 ist eine einen Schwenkzapfen 28 tragende Platte 30 auf dem Horizontalholm des Rahmens 8 befestigt.
  • Im oberen Teil der Fig. 2 ist der Bereich, in dem die Platte 30 mit dem Rahmen 8 verschraubt ist und der Schwenkzapfen 28 in den zylindrischen Innenraum 24 eingreift, im Schnitt dargestellt. Man erkennt, daß die Schrauben 25 und 26 nicht nur die Platte 30 am Rahmen 8 befestigen, sondern auch die in der Ecke auf Gehrung geschnittenen Rahmenteile dort miteinander zusammenhalten.
  • Im unteren Teil der Fig. 2 ist die gleiche Schwenkverbindung des zylindrischen Hohlkörpers 22 um einen dort nicht dargestellten weiteren Schwenkzapfen 28 vorgesehen. Die beiden mit der rechten Tafel verbundenen Zapfen 28 bilden zusammen mit dem an der linken Tafel angebrachten Hohlkörper 22 das Gelenk.
  • Von der Innenseite der Duschkabine auf die Scharnierverbindung auftreffendes Wasser kann nicht dort durchtreten, wo der zylindrische Körper in die Innenwand 16-der linken Duschtafel 2 übergeht. Zwischen der freien Kante 32 der Innenwand 20 der rechten Duschtafel 4 einerseits und dem zylindrischen Körper 22 andererseits klafft jedoch ein Spalt, durch den Spritzwasser auftreten könnte. Die Innenwand 20 der rechten Duschtafel 4 trägt daher an ihrer freien Kante 32 einen etwa halbzylindrischen Spritzschutz 34. Dieser liegt der zylindrischen Außenwand des zylindrischen Körpers 22 über dessen gesamte Höhe mit geringem Spiel an und wirkt als Labyrinthdichtung.
  • In der bis zu 180 voll aufgeklappten Stellung der Fig. 3 stößt die freie Kante 36 dieses Spritzschutzes 34 im Hohlraum 37 des linken Kammerprofils 6 gegen die Innenwand 16 und begrenzt somit als Anschlag die Schwenkbewegung. Der derart bemessene Spritzschutz umgreift den zylindrischen Hohlkörper 22 so weit, wie dies unter den vorhandenen Raumverhältnissen möglich ist, und erfüllt somit optimal seine Funktion, einen Wasseraustritt zu verhindern.
  • Eine der beiden Außenwände 14 bzw. 18 trägt nach außen oder nach innen einen die andere Außenwand überlappenden Ansatz 38, der ebenfalls ein Austreten von Spritzwasser verhindert. Durch die Kombination des Spritzschutzes 34 und des Ansatzes 38 wird Spritzwasser mit absoluter Sicherheit zurückgehalten.

Claims (3)

1. Scharnierverbindung zum Anlenken einer Wandtafel einer Duschtrennwand an eine andere Wandtafel bzw. an die Raumwand, gekennzeichnet durch einen auf der einen Seite einer Wandtafel (2, 4) bzw. an der Raumwand befestigten zylindrischen Körper (22), der sich über die gesamte Höhe der angelenkten Wandtafel (2, 4) erstreckt und in dessen zylindrischen Innenraum (24) jeweils von oben und von unten ein auf der anderen Seite der angelenkten Wandtafel (4, 2) befestigter Schwenkzapfen (28) eingreift, wobei auf der die beiden Schwenkzapfen (28) tragenden Seite ein den zylindrischen Hohlkörper (22) umfassender Spritzschutz (34) angeordnet ist.
2. Scharnierverbindung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Spritzschutz (34) dem zylindrischen Hohlkörper (22) mit geringfügigem Spiel über einen derartigen Winkelbereich anliegt, daß der Spritzschutz (34) die Schwenkung in der Scharnierverbindung auf 180 begrenzt.

Scharnierverbindung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, bei der die Rahmen der Wandtafeln als Kammerprofile mit einer Außenwand und einer Innenwand ausgebildet sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der zylindrische Hohlkörper (22) an einer Innenwand (16) einer Tafel (2) angebracht ist, daß der Spritzschutz (34) zwischen den Hohlkörper (22) und der Außenwand (14,) dieser Tafel (2) eingreift und daß die Außenwände (14, 18) beider verbundenen Wandtafeln (2, 4) miteinander eine Labyrinthdichtung bilden, vorteilhaft einander überlappen.
