Abstract
El presente invento se relaciona con un dispositivo de oclusión (1) formado por un trenzado (2) de alambres o hebras finas (4) al cual se da una forma adecuada con un procedimiento de moldeo y tratamiento al calor. El dispositivo de oclusión (1) tiene un área de retención proximal (6) y un área de retención distal (8), mediante el cual los extremos de los alambres y/o hebras (4) convergen en un retensor (5) en el área de retención distal (8). Además se dispone de un crucero cilíndrico (10) entre las áreas de retención proximal y distal (6, 8). Con el objeto de dar un dispositivo de oclusión que se coloca lo más plano posible contra el septum en el lado proximal de un defecto septal en su estado insertado, el invento provee área de retención proximal (6) del trenzado (2) para mostrar un área proximal totalmente cerrada (112) provista de una superficie continua en el extremo proximal en el dispositivo de oclusión (1) que forma el extremo proximal (12) del mencionado dispositivo de oclusión (1).
