Abstract

Un método y aparato para reducir el consumo de combustible en un motor de combustión interna incluyendo motores diesel, de nafta y gasolina usados en camiones, automóviles y para bombas, incluyendo los pasos de proveer una protección de aislamiento térmico que incluye una tela reflectora sobre el distribuidor de escape, alrededor del recinto de entrada para el aire de entrada y el colector de aire, cubriendo el compresor del turbosoplante con un material aislante del calor que incluye una capa de tela reflectora y la carcasa de la turbina de accionamiento del turbosoplante excepto el área de cojinetes para reducir mucho la formación de calor en el compartimiento del motor, reduciendo así la temperatura del aire de entrada para aumentar la eficiencia del motor. Se encontró que la invención aumenta la eficiencia de combustible en grandes camiones en un 10 a 15%. Los materiales son livianos y no aumentan significativamente el peso del motor o del camión.
