Настоящее изобретение относится к способу обработки суспензии твердых частиц в воде с применением водорастворимых (со)полимеров, полученных из гидратированной кристаллической формы 2-акриламидо-2-метилпропансульфоновой кислоты или по меньшей мере одной из ее солей. Этот способ особенно пригоден для обработки остатков, полученных в горнодобывающей промышленности.
