La invención reivindicada en la presente se refiere a un proceso para la recuperación de 3-metil-3-buten-1-ol de una corriente que comprende (Z)-3-metilpent-2-eno-1,5-diol, (E)-3-metilpent-2-eno-1, 5-diol y 3-metilenpentano-1,5-diol mediante el tratamiento de la corriente con isobuteno y agua.
