Zusatz zum Patent 942
Gegenstand des Patents 942 509 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Estern der Nicotinsäure, bei dem freie Nicotinsäure mit überschüssigen Mengen von ein,- oder mehrwertigen, äthergruppenfreien Alkoholen ohne Zusatz von Katalysatoren und ohne Entfernung des entstehenden Wassers in Druckgefäßen auf etwa 120 bis 200° erhitzt wird.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man die gleiche Arbeitsmethode auch zur Herstellung von Estern anderer Pyridincarbonsäuren. als Nicotinsäure mit bestem Erfolg verwenden kann. Als geeignete Pyridincarbonsäuren seien insbesondere genannt die vom Pyridin und seinen Homologen abgeleiteten Carbonsäuren, die in 3- oder 4-Stellung die Carboxylgruppe tragen, wie Pyridin-4-carbonsäure und 2-Methylpyridin-4-carbonsäure.
Die in dem folgenden Beispiel genannten Teile sind Gewichtsteile.
Beispiel
500 Teile Isonicotinsäure werden mit 4000 Teilen n-Propylalkohol in einem Autoklav 10 Stunden auf 2oo° erhitzt. Nach dem Erkalten hat sich eine kleine Menge nicht umgesetzter Säure abgeschieden, von der abfiltriert wird. Dann wird der überschüssige Propylalkohol abdestilliert, wobei sich mit zunehmender Konzentration des Ester-Alkohol-
Gemisches nochmals eine kleine Menge unumgeset-ster Säure abscheidet, die gleichfalls abfiltriert wird. Die Gesamtmenge der nicht umgesetzten Säure beträgt etwa So Gewichtsteile. Durch Destillation bei io mm Druck geht der Isonicotinsäuren-propylester bei 117 bis 1220 in einer Ausbeute von etwa 80 % der Theorie über.

Claims (1)

  1. Patentanspruch:
    Weiterbildung des Verfahrens des Patents 942 509, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man hier zur Herstellung von Estern anderer Pyridincarbonsäuren als Nicotinsäure diese anderen Pyridincarbonsäuren mit überschüssigen Mengen von ein- oder mehrwertigen, äthergruppenfreien Alkoholen ohne Zusatz von Katalysatoren und ohne Entfernung des entstehenden Wassers in Druckgefäßen auf etwa 120 bis 200°' erhitzt.
