Description

  • Verfahren zur Herstellung von Starrschmieren Es wurde gefunden, daß man wertvolle Starrschmieren oder konsistente Fette u. dgl. erhalten kann, wenn man mineralische, tierische oder pflanzliche Öle oder Trane oder Gemische dieser, einschließlich der Teeröle, mit den Verseifungsprodukten von oxydierend gebleichtem Montanwachs oder dessen sonstigen Veresterungsprodukten oder Gemischen dieser vermischt.
  • Man verfährt z. B. zweckmäßig so, daß man in dem Öl oder Tran bei höherer Temperatur das gebleichte Montanwachs löst und eine den in ihm enthaltenen Fettsäuren lentsprechende Menge Alkalihydroxyd oder -carbonat, in wenig Wasser gelöst, unter kräftigem Rühren zusetzt. je nach der Menge des zugesetzten Montanwachses, von dem z. B. 6 bis 15% des Öles oder Tranes angewandt werden, und der Beschaffenheit des Ausgangsöles lassen sich Starrschmieren jeder Konsistenz darstellen, die einen Tropfpunkt von 7 5 bis z i o° besitzen.
  • Es ist bereits bekannt, mit Salpetersäure vorbehandeltes Rohmontanwachs mit Fetten und Ölen auf Seife zu verarbeiten. Hierbei werden aber auch die Fette und Öle einer Verseifung unterworfen, während nach vorliegendem Verfahren lediglich eine Dispergierung von verseiftem Montanwachs in den mineralischen, pflanzlichen oder tierischen Ölen stattfindet.
  • Ferner ist die Verwendung von gereinigtem Montanwachs bzw. seinen Verseifungsprodukten bei der Herstellung von Starrschmieren oder konsistenten Fetten bereits vorgeschlagen worden. Hierbei handelt es sich jedoch nicht um ein speziell mit Oxydationsmitteln gebleichtes Montanwachs. Die Verwendung des letzteren führt zu besonders hochwertigen Schmiermitteln. So erhält man z. B. durch Zusatz von 6 Teilen eines mit Chromsäure gebleichten Montanwachses und o,6 Teilen Ätznatron (in wenig Wasser) zu einem Eismaschinenöl und Erhitzen der Masse auf 95 bis i oo° eine Starrschmiere, die einen Tropfpunkt von i53° besitzt und daher selbst zur Schmierung von ganz heiß laufenden Lagern 'verwendet werden kann. Ein in der gleichen Weise, jedoch unter Verwendung eines durch Destillation gereinigten Montanwachses hergestelltes Produkt besitzt dagegen einen Tropfpunkt von nur So'. Ein derartiges Schmiermittel neigt außerdem leicht zu Verharzungen, was bei den nach vorliegendem Verfahren hergestellten Produkten nicht der Fall ist.
  • Beispiel i So Teile Mineralöl, 5 Teile Rüböl und 8,5 Teile gemäß dem Verfahren des Patents 409420 oxydierend gebleichtes Montanwachs von der Säurezahl 140 werden gemischt und auf ioo° bis zur vollkommen klaren Lösung erwärmt. Man läßt die Lösung bis auf etwa 75° abkühlen und sodann unter kräftigem Rühren eine Lösung von i bis i,2 Teilen Natriumhydroxyd in 5 bis 6 Teilen Wasser in dünnem Strahl einfließen, wobei sofort eine gute Emulsion entsteht. Man unterbricht darauf das Rühren und läßt erkalten. Die entstandene Starrschmiere hat einen Tropfpunkt von etwa go°. Beispiel e i o Teile eines durch Veresterung von oxydierend gebleichtem Montanwachs mit Glykol erhaltenen Produktes mit der Säurezahl 2o werden in i oo Teilen eines Heizöles gelöst und unter Rühren bei go° mit einer Lösung von o,5 Teilen Natriumhydroxyd in i2 Teilen Wasser versetzt. Es bildet sich nach kurzer Zeit eine Starrschmiere von schmierseifenartiger Konsistenz, die den Tropfpunkt i43° besitzt.
  • Beispiel 3 ioo Teile eines Eismaschinenöles werden mit 8 Teilen eines mit Chromsäure gebleichten Montanwachses und 2 Teilen eines mit Chromsäure gebleichten Montanwachses, das teils mit Glykol verestert, teils in das Calciumsalz übergeführt ist, bei go° versetzt und mit einer Lösung von i Teil Ätznatron in 5 Teilen Wasser energisch verrührt. Es wird eine Starrschmiere von schmierseifenartiger Konsistenz mit dem Tropfpunkt 153' erhalten.

PATENTANSPRUCFI: Verfahren zur Herstellung von Starrschmieren oder konsistenten Fetten aus mineralischen, pflanzlichen oder tierischen ölen. oder Gemischen dieser, einschließlich der Teeröle, mit den Verseifungsprodukten von Montanwachs, gekennzeichnet durch die Verwendung von verseiftem, oxydierend gebleichtem Montanwachs oder dessen Veresterungsprodukten oder Gemischen dieser.
