Description
- Verfahren zur Hydrierung von Polyoxyverbindungen Es wurde die wichtige Beobachtung gemacht, daß durch Behandlung von Polyoxyverbindungen mit Wasserstoff in Gegenwart von Katalysatoren unter erhöhtem Druck und bei Temperaturen oberhalb 15o°, zweckmäßig bei Temperaturen von 190 bis 300° Stoffe entstehen, welche in mehrfacher Hinsicht wertvoll sind.
- So entsteht beispielsweise aus Glycerin mit guter Ausbeute 1 - 2-Dioxypropan. Es ist also eine endständige Oxymethylgruppe in eine Methy lgruppe verwandelt «-orden. Daneben können aber noch tiefer eingreifende Einflüsse stattfinden. Unterwirft man beispielsweise Glukose dem gleichen Verfahren, so führt die Reduktion zunächst, was bereits bekannt ist, zu dem entsprechenden Hexit. Dann aber erfolgt eine symmetrische Spaltung der Kohlenstoffkette und es entsteht Glvcerin. Natürlich kann man aus letzterem durch weitere Reduktion wieder 1 - 2-Dioxvpropan gewinnen. Mit gleichem Erfolge lassen sich auch andere Kohlehydrate in Glycerin verwandeln.
- Da die Ausbeuten an Glycerin unter geeib neten Bedingungen ausgezeichnet sind, so dürfte das neue Verfahren den älteren Verfahren mindestens ebenbürtig sein. Zu der gleichen Substanz gelangt man natürlich, wenn man statt von Kohlehydraten von. den entsprechenden Alkoholen, den Hexiten, ausgeht.
- Das gleiche Hydrierverfahren ist auch auf andere Körper mit mehreren Oxygruppen, wie die Cellulose, die Glukosane, die Pentosen, die Polyoxysäuren, wie Glukonsäure u. a., ferner auf cyclische Körper anwendbar, wodurch die technische Bedeutung der gefundenen Reaktion klar wird.
- Als Katalysatoren können diejenigen der Eisengruppe oder diejenigen der Platingruppe zur Anwendung kommen, ferner auch andere hydrierend wirkende Katalv satoren, wie Kupfer, Silber, Gold oder Wolframsäure, und zwar können diese Katalysatoren für sich oder gemischt zur Anwendung kommen. Die Katalysatoren können auf verschiedenstem 'Kege hergestellt werden. Auch können Träger angewandt werden, wie zum Beispiel Bimsstein; Kieselsäure, Asbest oder ähnliches.
- Man kann bei Drucken von beispielsweise 1o bis 6o Atm., aber auch bei hohen Drucken, wie zum Beispiel Zoo Atm., 1 ooo Atm. und noch höher, arbeiten. Ferner kann man die Hydrierung mit oder ohne Lösungsmittel ausführen. Unter Umständen ist es auch zweckmäßig, andere Gase, wie zum Beispiel Kohlensäure, beizumischen.
- Die erhaltenen Reaktionsprodukte sollen unter anderem auch zu technischen Zwecken und als Ausgangsmaterialien für Arzneistoffe u. a. Verwendung finden. Beispiele i. i 8o g Glycerin werden mit 15 g Nickelkatalysator in der Bombe bei Zoo bis 24o mit Wasserstoff bei ioo Atm. behandelt. Nach 4 Stunden ist die errechnete Menge Wasserstoff aufgenommen. Man saugt vom Katalysator ab und destilliert das Filtrat, wobei die größte Menge als Dioxypropan vom Kp. I S7 bis 188' übergeht.
- 2. 75 Teile Sorbit werden in der gleichen Menge Wasser gelöst und zum Beispiel mit 7 g Nickelkatalysator auf Zoo bis 25o° erhitzt. Unter einem Wasserstoffdruck von 7o bis ioo Atm. tritt lebhafte Wasserstoffaufnahme ein. Nach dem Abdestillieren des Wassers erhält man Dioxypropan vom Kp. 186 bis i88° und Glycerin vom Kp. 29o°. Unterbricht man vorzeitig die Wasserstoffaufnahme, so erhält man Glycerin als Hauptprodukt.
- 3. i oo g Traubenzucker, in i oo ccm Wasser gelöst, werden mit io g Nickelkatalysator und Wasserstoff zunächst bei 4o Atm. auf i 5o° erhitzt. Unter diesen Bedingungen entsteht der entsprechende Alkohol, der dann unter Erhöhung der Temperatur und des Druckes wie in Beispiel 2 weiterhin Wasserstoff aufnimmt und in Glycerin und Dioxypropan bzw. in Glycerin als Hauptprodukt zerlegt wird.
- ioo g Rohrzucker, in ioo ccm Wasser gelöst, werden mit Wasserstoff in Gegenwart von io g Nickelkatalysator wie in Beispiel 3 behandelt. Auch hier erfolgt die erste Wasserstoffaufnahme bei 4.o Atm. und i 5o° und die weitere Hydrierung zu Dioxypropan und Glycerin bzw,, zu Glycerin allein erfolgt wie in Beispiel 2.
- 5. ioo g lösliche Stärke in ioo ccm Wasser werden mit io g Nickelkatalysator bei 2io bis 25o° und 7o bis ioo Atm. mit Wasserstoff gedrückt. Nach Beendigung der Wasserstoffaufnahme wird wie in Beispiel e aufgearbeitet und man erhält Dioxypropan und Glycerin bzw. bei entsprechender Unterbrechung der Wasserstoffzufuhr als Hauptprodukt Glycerin.
- 6. 30 g Cellulose, in 300 ccm Wasser aufgeschlämmt, werden mit 3 g Nickelkatalysator bei 25o bis 26o° und 7o bis i io Atm. mit Wasserstoff gedrückt. Nach dem Abdestillieren des Wassers erhält man neben Dioxvpropan Glycerin.
- 7. So g Sägemehl, in 300 ccm Wasser suspendiert, werden mit 5 g Nickelkatalysator bei 24o bis 26o° mit Wasserstoff unter 7o bis ioo Atm. Druck % Stunde behandelt. Nach Aufarbeitung wie im Beispiele erhält man Dioxypropan und Glycerin. Das wäßrige Destillat enthält außerdem Isopropylalkohol.
- B. So g Sägemehl werden in 400 g Wasser aufgeschlämmt und mit 5 g Nickelkatalysator bei 22o° und 7o bis ioo Atm. Druck i112 Stunden mit Wasserstoff gedrückt. Nach dem Erkalten wird vom Katalysator durch Absaugen getrennt und das Wasser im Vakuum abdestilliert. Der zu einer Kristallmasse erstarrte Rückstand wird aus Alkohol umgelöst und liefert 7,5 g Mannit vom Schmelzpunkt i66°. Die Laugen können. durch weitere Hydrierung auf Glycerin verarbeitet werden.
- 9. 50 g Stroh werden in 400 g Wasser mit 5 g Nickelkatalysator und Wasserstoff unter 7o bis ioo Atm. Druck bei 230 bis 25o° behandelt. Nach dem Abdestillieren des Wassers im Vakuum erhält man Dioxypropan und Glycerin.
- io. So g Torf, in 4oo g Wasser aufgeschlämmt, werden mit 5 g Nickelkatalysator bei 23o bis 25o° mit Wasserstoff von 7o bis ioo Atm. Druck 1f, Stunde behandelt. Nach Absaugen und Abdestillieren des Wassers erhält man neben den bisher beobachteten Produkten einen stark zuckerhaltigen Syrup.
- i i. 5o g Cellulose werden in Zoo g Wasser mit 5 g Nickeloxydkatalysator bei 23o° und 7o bis ioo Atm. Druck mit Wasserstoff gedrückt. Auch hier erhält man nach der üblichen Aufarbeitung Dioxypropan und Glycerin.
- 12. So g Sägemehl, in 400 g Wasser aufgeschlämmt, werden mit 5 g eines Katalysators, der die Metalle Nickel, Kobalt und Kupfer im Verhältnis 2o : 6 : i enthält, bei 23o bis 25o° mit Wasserstoff von 7o bis ioo Atm. Druck behandelt. Nach der üblichen Aufarbeitung erhält man Dioxypropan und Glycerin.
- 13. 5o g Sägemehl werden in 400 g Wasser mit 5 g Kupferkatalysator bei 23o bis 24o° mit Wasserstoff von 7o bis ioo Atm. Druck behandelt. Nach dem Abdestillieren des Wassers erhält man in der Hauptsache D2oxypropan.
- 14- So g Celulose werden in Zoo g Wasser aufgeschlämmt und mit 5 g Kupferkatalysator bei 23o° und 7o bis 9o Atm. Druck mit Wasserstoff gedrückt. Die Aufarbeitung ergibt in der Hauptmenge Dioxypropan.
- 15. 5o g Dimethylcellulose in ioo ccm Wasser werden mit 1,5 g Nickelkatalysator bei 23o bis 24o° etwa 30 Minuten lang mit Wassertoff gedrückt. Nach dem Abdestillieren des Wassers erhält man Dimethoxytrioxyhexan vom Kp. 2 17o bis i72°.
- 16. So g Diäthylcellulose in ioo ccm Wasser werden mit 1,5 g Nickelkatalysator bei 23o bis 2.40° mit Wasserstoff gedrückt. Man erhält das Diäthoxytrioxyhexan vom Kp. i 17o bis i75°.
- 17. Cellulose und die gleiche Menge Wasser werden in Gegenwart eines Kupfer-Kobaltkatalysators in einem Rührautoklaven auf etwa 24.0° unter Zusatz von Wasserstoff bei einem Gesamtdruck von 20o Atm. erhitzt. Man erhält reichliche Mengen Dioxypropan, ferner Glycerin, Isosorbid und ähnliche wasserlösliche Stoffe.

- PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Hydrierung von Polyoxyv erbindungen mit aliphatischen Oxygruppen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man flüssige Polyoxyverbindungen oder feste Polyoxyv erbindungen in wäßriger Lösung oder Suspension mit Wasserstoff in Gegenwart von Katalysatoren unter erhöhtem Druck und bei Temperaturen über i5o°, zweckmäßig bei igo bis 300°, behandelt.
