Description
- Verfahren zum Gerben tierischer Häute. Es wurde gefunden, daß die Körper, die aus Chlorschwefel-Phenolharzen und homologen Harzen bzw. Schwefelungsprodukten des Phenols, seiner Homologen und Substitutionsprödukte durch Behandlung mit Oxydationsmitteln nach dem Verfahren des Patents 388186 K1. r2 q .erhalten. werden, in saurer Lösung bzw. teilweiser Suspension in hervorragender Weise als Gerbemittel Verwendung finden können. Sie verwandeln tierische Blöße in kurzer Zeit in vollwertiges Leder, das nach kalt oder warm erfolgtem Trocknen auch ohne Stollen hellfarbig, geschmeidig und reißfest ist.
- Beispiel i.
- An den Boden eines Gefäßes, enthaltend -eine wässerige Aufschlämmung von pulverisiertem Phenolchlorschwefelharz (aus 8ooTeilen Phenol und r 3oo Teilen Chlorschwefel) in der fünffachen Wassermenge, wird eine Mischting von 8oo Teilen Nätriumsuperoxyd und 16oo Teilen Sand in einer Rohrleitung gedrückt und durch Düsen in die Flüssigkeit ausgepreßt, unter gutem Rühren des sich' erwärmenden Kesselinhaltes. Nach erfolgter Umsetzung wird vom Sand abgegossen und mit Essigsäure oder mit Salzsäure lackmussauer gemacht. Diese Lösung bzw. Suspension wird zum Gerben entsprechend verdünnt. Faßgerbungen von 3 Teilen Blöße, i Teil zooprozentigem Gerbstoff und 1o Teilen Wasser ergeben bei Anwendung von Schafblöße schon nach q. bis 2o Stunden gare Leder, bei dickeren Fellen in entsprechend längerer Zeit.
- Ebenso zum Gerben verwendbar sind die aus Kresol, Kreosot, Chlorphenol, Naphtholen -oder Oxyanthracen durch Einwirkung von Schwefelchloriden oder durch Schwefelung, z. B. in der Schwefelschmelze erhältlichen, mit Wasserstoffsuperoxyd, Natriumsuperoxyd, Bichromat öder Persulfat behandelten und entsprechend sauer gemachten Umsetzungsprodukte, wobei zum Ansäuern organische und anorganische Säuren benutzt werden können. Beispiel e.
- 3oo Teile Phenol, 16o Teile Ätznafron, 40o Teile Wasser, 34o Teile Schwefel werden 30 Stunden auf 12o bis 18o° gehalten. Nach. dem Ansäuern wird in Natronlauge aufgenommen und mit konzentrierter Wasserstoff superoxydlösung oxydiert,- bis verdünnte Proben auf Zusatz von Säure keine Fällung. mehr geben.
- Das erhaltene Produkt wird nach entsprechendem Ansäuern genau so verwendet, wie im Beispiel i beschrieben.
