hindurch bis zur Zuganlenkung (Schraube 9. Mutter 10) des anderen Bremshebels (3) verläuft
und mit seinem Ende an dieser befestigt ist.

2. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse nach Anspruch 1. dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Länge des Zuggliedes
(11) zwischen seiner Anlenkung am freien Ende (Haltesitz 41) des einen Breinshebels(4) und der Eingriffsstelle
und daduich der Abstand zwischen den beiden Bremsschuhen (5 unc! _·; versteilbar ist.
3. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse nach Anspruch 2. dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Zugglied (U) an seinem
Fußteil ein sich in seiner Längsrichtung erstrekkendes Langloch (11 b) hat. daß der mit dom Zugseil
verbundene Bremshebel (4) an seinem freien Ende (Haltesitz 41) einen Zapfen (12) trägt, welcher in dem
Langloch geführt ist. so daß das Zugglied längsverschieblich
und um den Zapfen schwenkbar mit eiern Bremshebel verbunden ist. und daß der Zapfen ferner
eine Nockenscheibe (13) drehbar trägt, an welcher
sich das Zugglied (11) abstützt.
4. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse nach Anspruch 3. dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß das Langloch (Wb) eine solche Länge hat. daß sich die Bremsschuhe (5 und 6)
durch Verdrehen der Nockenscheibe (13) auf einer: Abstand einstellen lassen, welcher größer ist als die
Breite eines am Fahrrad montierten Rades.

4. dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Nockenscheibe (13) mittels einer Feststelleinrichtung in der jeweils
gewählten Stellung feststellbar ist.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Mittelzug-Felgenbremse
für ein Fahrrad gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
Eine bekannte Bremse der genannten Art (FR-PS 93 380) weist ein an den beiden freien Enden der
Bremshebel angelenktes, kurzes Seil als Zugglied auf; in der Mitte dieses Seiles ist ein hakenartiges Teil lose
eingehängt, welches die Befestigungsschraube und -mutter für das eigentliche, mit einer Bremsbetätigungseinrichtung
verbundene Zugseil trägt.
Zum Linsteilen des Abstandes zwischen den Bremsschuhen ist in der Regel eine Grob- und eine Feineinstellung
erforderlich: Zur Grobeinstellung wird die Einspannung
des eigentlichen Zugseiles verändert, während die Feineinstellung durch Verändern der Länge des
kurzen Drahtseiles erfolgt, welches die beiden, freien
Enden der Bremshebd verbindet. Dieses ku. ze Drahtseil
kann nämlich, um die ordnungsgemäße Geometrie der Bremsanordnung sicherzustellen, nur innerhalb eines
verhältnismäßig kurzen Bereiches verstellt werden.
Dieser Verstellvorgang ist umständlich und zeitraubend. Deshalb ist bei der bekannten Bremse der größte
Betriebsabstand zwischen den Bremsschuhen derart gewählt, daß das zugehörige Rad gerade noch mit seinem
Reifen zwischen den Bremsschuhen herausgezogen werden kann. Die Bremsschuhe müssen dementsprechend
einen verhältsnismäßig langen Bremsweg zurücklegen.
Ausgehend von diesem Stand der Technik liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, die Einstellung des
Abstandes bei einer Bremse der eingangs genannten Art zu vereinfachen.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch die im Kennzeichenteil des Anspruchs 1 angegebenen Merkmalegelöst.
Die Erfindung schafft somit eine Bremse der genannten Art. welche keinen mit dem Zugseil zu verbindenden
Zugdraht aufweist und dementsprechend einfach und billig herstellbar und mühelos montierbar ist. Bei der
erfindungsgemäßen Bremse ist der Abstand zwischen den einander gegenüberstehenden Bremsschuhen mühelos
einstellbar, da nurmehr eine einzige Klemmverbindung des Seiles mit einem starren Element erforderlich
ist. nämlich die Befestigung des eigentlichen Zugseiles an der Zuganlenkung eines Bremshebels. Die Einstellung
der erfindungsgemäßen Mittelzug-Felgenbremse ist daher ebenso einfach wie die Einstellung einer
herkömmlichen, asymmetirsch aufgebauten Felgenbremse.
Zweckmäßige Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind in den Unteransprüchen angegeben.
Gemäß der im Patentanspruch 3 angegebenen Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ist die Länge des Zuggliedes
durch eine eigene, einfach betätigbare Einrichtung verstellbar,
so daß hierdurch nicht nur zusätzlich auf besonders einfache Weise eine Feineinstellung herbeigeführt
werden kann, sondern auch der Abstand zwischen beiden
Bremsschuhen derart vergrößert werden kann, daß das zugehörige Rad mit seinem Reifen ohne weiteres
zwischen den Bremsschuhen herausgezogen werden kann, obwohl der größte Betriebsabstand der Bremsschuhe
kleiner ist als die größte Breite des Reifens.
Im folgenden ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung
anhand der Zeichnung erläutert. Es zeigt
Fig. 1 eine Vorderansicht einer erfindungsgemäßen
Mittelzug-Felgenbremse.

Die Zeichnung zeigt eine Mittelzug-Felgenbremse für ein Fahrrad mit einem Paar Bremshebel, an deren
einem das eine Ende eines Zugseiles befestigt ist und an deren anderem ein Zugglied angelenkt ist, welches mit
einem Greifer an einem in der Zugrichtung verlaufenden Teil eines Zugseils angreift.
Die dargestellte Bremse hat einen Tragbügel 1. welcher mittels einer Schraube 2 feststehend an einem
(nicht gezeigten) Fahrradrahmen befestigbar ist und Überkopf stehende U-Form aufweist. An den beiden Enden
des Tragbügels 1 sind zwti Bremshebe! 3 und 4 in Gelenken 7 bzw. 8 schwenkbar angelenkt.
Die Bremshebel 3 und 4 sind überkopfstehend L-förmig und tragen .iahe den Enden ihrer abwärts verlaufenden
Schenkel jeweils einen Bremsschuh 5 bzw. 6. Ihre waagerecht verlaufenden Schenkel überlappen einander
entlang dem feststehenden Tragbügel 1 und haben an ihren leicht aufwärts gebogenen Enden jeweils
einen kreisförmigen Haltesitz 31 bzw. 41.
Der Sitz 31 am hinteren Ende des einen Bremshebels 3 trägt eine Halterung in Form einer Schraube 9 mit
einer Mutter 10 für die Befestigung des einen durch eine Bohrung 9a der Schraube 9 gesteckten Endes eines
Zugseils u'. An dem Sitz 41 am hinteren Ende des anderen Bremshebels 4 ist ein Zugglied 11 angebracht, welches
wie nachstehend beschrieben an einem Teil des Zugseils w angreift.
Das Zugglied 11 ist an einem Ende mit einem Fußteil
Wd in Anlage an der Oberfläche des Sitzes 41 und erstreckt sich mit dem anderen Ende in Richtung auf eine
gemeinsame senkrechte Mittellinie der waagerechten Schenkel der Bremshebel. An diesem Ende hat das Zugglied
11 einen U-förmig geschweiften, hakenförmigen Greifer 11a, mit welchem es rückwärts des befestigten
Endes des Zugseils w an diesem angreift, so daß die betreffende Stelle des Zugseils zu der genannten Mittellinie
hin gezogen wird. Das der Befestigung des Zugglieds 11 am Bremshebel 4 dienende Fußteil lic/hat ein
in Längsrichtung verlaufendes Langloch 116 und einen
aufrecht stehenden hinteren Rand ! 1 c. Ein das Langloch Hi) durchsetzender Zapfen 12 für die schwenkbare Befestigung
des Zugglieds 11 trägt außerdem eine mit einem Griffteil 13a versehene Nockenscheibe 13 derart,
daß sich der aufrecht stehende Rand Ur des Zugglieds 11 in Anlage am Umfang derselben befindet. Durch Verdrehen
der Nockenscheibe 13 läßt sich somit der Abstand zwischen dem Sitz 41 und dem Greifer \\a und
damit auch der Abstand zwischen den einander gegenüberliegenden Bremsschuhen 5 und 6 verstellen.
Wird bei der vorstehend beschriebenen Mittelzug-Felgenbremse
ein Zug auf das Zugsti! w ausgeübt, so bewegt sich der Greifer 11a unter Verschwenken des
Zugglieds 11 aufwärts und das zwischen dem Greifer Ha und dem befestigten Ende verlaufende Teil des
Zugseils w wird nach oben gezogen, so daß die Bremshebel
um ihre Gelenke herum verschwenkt werden, um das Rad abzubremsen. Beim Anbringen der Bremse an
einem Fahrrad oder beim Auftreten von Verschleiß an den Bremsschuhen 5 und 6 läßt sich der Abstand zwischen
den Bremsschuhen schnell und mühelos durch Verdrehen der Nockenscheibe 13 einstellen.
Zum Anbringen der Bremse an einem Fahrrad oder zum Auswechseln des gebremsten Rades nach dem Anbringen
der Bremse wird die Nockenscheibe 13 so verdrehi. daß sich das Zugglied bis in seine Endstellung in
Richtung auf die gemeinsame Mittellinie der Bremshebel 3 und 4 bewegen läßt, wodurch die Bremsschuhe 5
und 6 auf ihren größten gegenseitigen Abstand eingestellt werden. Die Größe dieses Abstands ist abhängig
von den Abmessungen des Langlochs Wb. Dieses hat daher eine solche Länge, daß der größtmögliche Abstand
/wischen den Brerr.i schuhen 5 und 6 größer ist als
die größte Breite des Rades. Die Nockenscheibe 13 wird bis in ihre Endstellung verdreht, um den größtmöglichen
Abstand einzustellen, so daß sich die Bremse ohne Behinderung
am Fahrrad anbringen läßt bzw. daß das gebremste Rad mühelos auswechselbar ist.
Tritt nach längerem Gebrauch ein Verschließ der Bremsschuhe 5 und 6 ein. so läßt sich der dadurch vergrößerte
Abstand zwischen ihnen durch Verdrehen der Nockenscheibe 13 ausgleichen. Dabei wird die Nockenscheibe
jeweils um den zum Ausgleich des Verschleißes notwendigen Winkel verdreht. In der gewählten Einstellung
kann die Nockenscheibe aufgrund ihrer Umfangsform festgehalten werden, bzw. es ist eine Feststelleinrichtung,
etwa eine Klemmschraube od. dergl. dafür vorgesehen.
Die Verwendung der Nockenscheibe 13 ermöglicht ein sehr schnelles Einstellen der Bremsschuhe 5 und 6
auf ihren größten Abstand und damit einen schnellen Radwechsel.
Die Erfindung ermöglicht also das Einstellen des Abstands zwischen den einander ge·.'iüberl>egenden
Bremsschuhen durch Veränderung der wirksamen Länge
des Zugglieds zwischen seiner Befestigung am hinteren Ende des einen Bremshebels und seiner Angriffsstel-Ie
am Zugseil. Das Einstellen der wirksamen Länge des Zugglied.' und damit des Abstandes zwischen den
Bremsschuhen ist schnell und mühelos bewerkstelligbar. Darüber hinaus ermöglicht die Erfindung das schnelle
und mühelose Einstellen der Bremsschuhe auf einen Abstand, welcher größer ist als die größie Breite des gebremsten
Rades, so daß sich die Bremse ungehindert an einem Fahrrad anbringen läßt bzw. das gebremste Rad
schnell und mühelos auswechselbar ist.

Claims (1)
1. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse für ein Fahrrad, mit einem feststehend am Fahrradrahmen angebrachten
Tragbügel, einem Paar an den Enden des Bügels in Gelenken schwenkbar angelenkter Bremshebel mit
jeweils einem Bremsklotz am einen auf der einen Seite der Radmittelebene liegenden Ende und einer
Zuganlenkung am anderen auf der anderen Seite der Radmittelebene liegenden, freien Ende, und einem
an einer Zuganlenkung befestigten Zugglied, das eine Zugverbindung zwischen der einen Zuganlenkung
und einem mit einer Bremsbetäiigurigseinrichtung
verbundenen Zugseil herstellt und mit diesem an einer Eingriffsstelle in der Mitte zwischen den
beiden Zuganlenkungen in Eingriff steht, dadurch
gekennzeichnet.
