X Sauerstoff oder Schwefel darstellt und Y ein Halogenatom, insbesondere ein Fluor-, Chlor- oder Bromatom bedeutet.
Die neuen Phosphonsäureester der Formel (i)
sind gegen verschiedenartige Schädlinge des TJer- und Pflanzenreiches
wirksam. Bevorzugt sind jene Verbindungen bei denen R1, Rp, R-, und R^, unabhängig voneinander eine Methyl- oder
Aethylgruppe bedeuten, X für Sauerstoff oder Schwefel steht und Y ein Chlor- oder Bromatom darstellt. Von diesen sind
solche Wirkstoffe besonders wichtig, bei denen R = R bzw.
R-, = R2, ist. .
Die neuen Verbindungen wirken gegen alle Entwicklungsstadien
von Insekten und Vertretern der Ordnung Acarina, z.B. gegen saugende und beissende Insekten..
Zu den saugenden Insekten gehören Dipteren und Hymenopteren, z„B. Blattläuse (Aphidae) wie Myzus persicae,
Doralis fabae, Rhopalosiphum padi, Maerosiphumi_pisi, Macrosiphum

solanifolii, Cryptomyzus korschelti, Sappaphis mali,
Hyalopterus arundinis, Myzus cerasi, dann Schild- und
Wolläuse (Coccina), z.B. Aspidiotus hederae, Lecanium

Eine grössere Anzahl Schädlinge ist unter der Ordnung Acarina zu finden, z.B. Milben und davon besonders
Spinnmilben (Tetranychidae) wie Tetranychus telarius, T.
althaeae, T. urticae, Paratetranychus pilosus, Panonychus ulmi, dann Gallmilben (Eriophyes ribis) und Tarsonemiden
wie Hemitarsonemus latus oder Tarsonemus pallidus.
Unter.die Ordnung Acarina fallen aber auch die Zecken, d.h. Ektoparasiten wie Boophilus microplus Dermanyssus
gallinae, Ornithonyssus bacoti, Ornithonyssus sylviarum, Rhipicephalus
bursa, Pneumonyssus eaninum, Laelaps nutalli, Acarapis
woodi, Psorergates ovis.
Diese Zusammenstellung von Schädlingen erhebt keinerlei Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit. Grundsätzlich haben
die Phosphonate der Formel I eine starke Wirkung gegen Insekten und Acarina, die als Schä'dlinge in Nutzpflanzenkulturen
bekannt sind. So wird etwa der Reisstengelbohrer ChiIo
suppressalis bereits mit Wirkstoffmengen von 0,02$ vollständig abgetötet.
Die Wirkstoffe der Formel I zeigen ausser der Insektiziden und akariziden Wirkung auch eine Wirkung gegen
pflanzenpathogene Bakterien und Pilze, sowie gegen pflanzenpathogene
Nematoden, von denen folgenden Ordnungen genannt

Aphelenchoides, z.B. Aphelenchus ritzemabosi, Aphelenchus fragariae, Aphelenchus oryzae, dann Ditylenchoides
z.B. Ditylenchus dipsaci, ferner Meloidogyne, z.B. Meloidogyne arenaria, Meloidogyne incognita, dann zystenbildende
Nematoden (Heterodera), z.B. Heterodera rostochiensis,
Heterodera schachtii, dann Wurzelnematoden wie Pratylenchus,
Paratylenchus, Rotylenchus, Xiphlnema, Rhadopholus. '
Ein weiterer sehr wichtiger Vorteil besteht in der geringen Warmblutertoxizitat der Verbindungen I,
die teilweise über 600 mgAS/kg Körpergewicht beträgt (Rattentoxizität
LOcr, ,per os gemessen).-
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft auch
Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittelj welche als aktive Komponente

bedeutet, gegebenenfalls in Kombination mit Lösungs-, Verdünnungs-,
Dispergier-, Haft-, Bindemitteln und anderen
Pestiziden wie Insektiziden, Akariziden, Nematoziden, Bakteriziden,
Fungiziden.
Die neuen Wirkstoffe können als Mittel "auf verschiedenartigste
Weise z.B. in Form von Sprays, Konzentraten, Stäubepulvern, Streumitteln, Granulaten, Fliegentellern oder
getränkten Wirkstoff-Bändern angewendet werden.
Zur Herstellung von direkt versprühbaren Lösungen der Verbindungen der Formel (i) kommen z.B. Mineralölfraktionen
von hohem bis mittlerem Siedebereicht, wie Dieselöl oder Kerosen,
Kohlenteeröl und OeIe pflanzlicher oder tierischer Herkunft, sowie Kohlenwasserstoffe, z.B. älkylierte Naphthaline oder
Tetrahydronaphthalin, in Betracht, gegebenenfalls unter Verwendung
von Xylolgemisehen, Cyclohexanolen, Ketonen, ferner
chlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen, wie Triehloräthan, Trichloräthylen
oder Tri- und Tetrachlorbenzolen. Mit Vorteil werden organische Lösungsmittel verwendet, deren Siedepunkt über
100°C liegt.
Wässerige Applikationsformen werden besonders zweckmässig aus Emulsionskonzentraten, Pasten oder netzbaren
Spritzpulvern durch Zusatz von Masser bereitet. Als Emulgier-

oder Dispergiermittel kommen nichtionogene Produkte, z.B.
Kondensatlonsprodulcte von aliphatischen Alkoholen, Aminen oder Carbonsäuren mit einem langkettigen Kohlenwasserstoffrest
von etwa 10 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen mit Aethylenoxyd in Betracht, z.B. das Kondensationsprodukt von Octadecylalkohol
und 25 bis 30 Mol Aethylenoxyd, oder dasjenige von
technischem Oleylamin und 15 Mol Aethylenoxyd oder dasjenige \
von Dodecy!mercaptan und 12 Mol Aethylenoxyd. Als anionaktive
Emulgiermittel seien erwähnt: das Natriumsalz des DodecyIaI-*
koholschwefelsäureesters, das Natriumsalz der Dodecylbenzolsulfonsäure,
das Kalium- oder Triäthanolaminsalz der OeI-säure
oder der Abietinsäure oder Mischungen dieser Säuren, oder das Natriumsalz einer Petroleumsulfonsäure. Als kationaktive
Dispergiermittel kommen quaternäre Ammoniumverbindungen, wie das Cetylpyridiniumbromid, oder das Dioxyäthylbenzyldodecylammoniumchlorid
in Betracht. ■
Zur Herstellung von Stäube- und Streumitteln
können als feste Trägerstoffe Talkum, Kaolin, Bentonit, Calciumcarbonat,
Calciumphosphat, aber auch Kohle, Korkmehl, Holzmehl
und andere Materialien pflanzlicher Herkunft herangezogen werden.

Granulate lassen sich sehr einfach herstellen,
indem man einen Wirkstoff der Formel (I) in einem organischen Lösungsmittel löst und die so erhaltene Lösung auf ein
granuliertes Mineral, z.B. Attapulgit, SiOp, Granicalcium,
Bentonit usf. aufbringt und dann das organische Lösungsmittel wieder verdampft.
Es können auch Polymerengranulate verwendet werden. Sie lassen sich so herstellen, dass die Wirkstoffe
der Formel I mit polymerisierbaren Verbindungen vermischt werden (Harnstoff/Fprmaldehyd, Dicyandiamid/Pormaldehyd,
Melamin/Formaldehyd oder andere), worauf eine schonende Polymerisation durchgeführt wird, von der die Aktivsubstanzen
unberührt bleiben, und wobei noch während der Gelbildung die Granulierung vorgenommen wird. Günstiger ist es, fertige,
poröse Polymerengranulate (Harnstoff/Formaldehyd, Polyacrylnitril, Polyester oder andere) mit bestimmter Oberfläche und
günstigem vorausbestimmbaren Adsorptions/Desorptions-Verhältnis mit den Wirkstoffen z.B. in Form ihrer Lösungen
(in einem niedrigsiedenen Lösungsmittel) zu imprägnieren und das Lösungsmittel zu entfernern. Derartige Polymerengranulate
können in Form von Mikrogranulaten mit Schüttgewichten
von vorzugsweise 300 g/Liter bis 600 g/Liter auch mit

Hilfe von Verstäubern ausgebracht werden. Das Verstäuben
kann über ausgedehnten Flächen von Nutzpflanzenkulturen mit Hilfe von Flugzeugen durchgeführt werden.
Selbstverständlich lassen sich den Granulaten weitere Pestizide., Düngemittel, oberflächenaktive Mittel
oder Stoffe zur Erhöhung des spezifischen Gewichts wie BaSO^ zusetzen. ä
Granulate sind auch durch Kompaktieren des Trägermaterials mit den Wirk- und Zusatzstoffen und ansehliessendes
Zerkleinern erhältlich.
Die verschiedenen Anwendungsformen können in üblicher Weise durch Zusatz von Stoffen, welche die Verteilung, die Haftfestigkeit, die Regenbestädigkeit oder
das Eindringungsvermögen verbessern, versehen sein; als
solche Stoffe seien erwähnt: Fettsäuren, Harz, Leim, Casein
oder Alginate. ™
Im allgemeinen enthalten die Mittel zwischen 0,01 und 95 Gewichtsprozent Wirkstoff, vorzugsweise 0,1 "bis
80 Gewichtsprozent. In gewissen speziellen Anwendungsgebieten, z.B. bei Flugzeugapplikationen, lässt sich auch technisch
reiner Wirkstoff einsetzen und versprühen.
Die Wirkstoffe I lassen sich zur Verbreiterung des Wirkungsspektrums mit bekannten insekt!ziden,
akariziden und/oder nematoziden Wirkstoffen kombinieren, von denen beispielsweise folgende genannt sein sollen:

Durch Synergisten lässt sich die Wirkung der erfindungsgemässen Phosphonsäureester der Formel I steigern.
Dafür eignen sieh z.B. Sesamin, Sesamex, Piperonyl cyclonene,
Piperonyl butoxid, Piperonal bis[2-(2-butoxyäthoxy)äthyl]acetat, Sulfoxide, Propyl isome, N-(2-Äethylhexyl)-5-norbornen-2,3-dicarboxamid,

Zu einem Gemisch von 38,5.g 2,2,2-Trichlor-lhydroxyäthylphosphonsäure-dimethylester
und 150 ml Benzol wurden unter Rühren 25 g 0,0-Dimethylthiophosphonylisocyanat
zugetropft. Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde dann 5 Stunden bei
60 C gerührt. Nach Abkühlen wurde das Reaktionsgemisch abfiltriert und aus dem Filtrat das Lösungsmittel abdestilliert.
Das Rohprodukt wurde aus Benzol-Hexan umkristallisiert.

werden gemischt. Beim Verdünnen mit Wasser auf die gewünschte
Konzentration entsteht eine spritzfähige Emulsion. Granulate
a) 7*5 g eines der Wirkstoffe der Formel I werden in 100 ml Aceton gelöst und die so erhaltene acetonische
Lösung auf 92 g granuliertes Attapulgit (Maschenweite:
24/^8 Maschen/inch) gegeben. Das Ganze wird gut vermischt, das
Lösungsmittel im Rotationsverdampfer abgezogen. Man erhält ein
Granulat mit 7,5 % Wirkstoffgehalt. r

b) Zur Herstellung eines lO^lgen Polymerengranulats werden IO5O bis 1100 g technischer Wirkstoff der Formel I in
2 Liter Trichloräthylen gelöst und in einem Wirbelschichtgranulator
bei 1,5 atü Sprühdruck auf 9230 g vorgelegtes
poröses Harnstoff/HCHO-Granulat aufgesprüht. Durch Aufheizen
der Wirbelluft auf ca. 50 C lässt sich das Lösungsmittel wieder
entfernen.
c) Zur Herstellung eines 7*5$igen beschwerten
Granulats werden 770 g eines festen techn. Wirkstoffs
der Formel I, 500 g BaSO,, 1000 g Harnstoff und 7730 g
pulvriges, poröses Polyacrylnitril auf einem Walzenstuhl verpresst und anschliessend auf die gewünschte Korngrösse
gebrochen..

Beispiel 3
Kontaktwirkung auf Musca domestica (L.) und
Ceratitis capitata.
Je 1 Hälfte einer Petrischale wurde mit je 1 ml einer aceton!sehen Lösung einer der Substanzen Nr. 1 und Nr. 2
behandelt, die 1000, 100, 10,5* 2,5 und 1,25 ppm des Wirkstoffes
enthielt. Nach Abdampfen des Lösungsmittels wurden je 10 unterkühlte Stubenfliegen in die vorbereiteten Petrischalen gebracht
und die Deckelhälten aufgelegt. Nach wachsenden Zeitintervallen wurde bei den verschiedenen Konzentrationen die
Abtötung kontrolliert. Folgende Abtötung in Prozent wurde
nach 4 Stunden erzielt:

Wirkung gegen Prodenia litura-Larven.
Je 5 Larven im L-2-Stadium werden auf ein Blatt von Malva silvestris gesetzt, das vorher in eine wässrige
Lösung eines Wirkstoffes getaucht und danach in eine abgedeckte Petrischale gegeben worden war, wobei die Luftfeuchtigkeit
in der Schale mit einem befeuchteten Wattebausch aufrechterhalten wird. Bei diesem Kontak -und Prasstest wird
die Wirkung nach 1 Tag geprüft.
Es wurde folgendes Ergebnis erzielt:

Beispiel 5
a) Der Test mit Epilachna varivestis, dem mexikanischen
Bohnenkäfer, wurde folgendermassen durchgeführt: 4-5 Sämlinge von Phaseolus vulgaris im Primärblattstadium, in einem Blumentopf
angezogen, wurden in Emulsionen der Versuchspräparate getaucht und anschliessend trocknen gelassen. Die Versuchstiere,
L-4-Stadien des Käfers, wurden in eine Cellophantüte eingebracht, die anschliessend mit einem Gummiband über der behandelten Pflanze befestigt wurde. Nach 5 Tagen wird die
Wirkung der Behandlung durch Auszählen der lebenden und toten Tiere und durch Berechnung der prozentualen Abtötung ermittelt.
