Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf Schmieröle
aus synthetischen,neutralen»gesättigten Carbonsäureestern,
insbesondere zur Verwendung in Überschallturbinen, wobei diese öle eine Verbindung vom iJitranylamidtyp
zur Passivierung des Metalls enthalten«
Als Schmiermittel für Düsentriebwerke in der Luftfahrt
sind verschiedene Arten synthetischer,neutraler,gesättigter Carbonsäureester im allgemeinen angewendet ;
worden. Eine der Aufgaben, die| im Augenblick gestellt
werden, ist die Herstellung oder Zusammensetzung eines Schmiermittels aus einem synthetischen Ester, das in der
Lage ist, selbst rauhere Betriebsbedingungen auszuhalten, als sie bisher angetroffen wurden, nämlich zum Schmieren
solcher Düsenmaschinen, die zum Antrieb von !lugzeugen
bestimmt sind, welche mit Überschallgeschwindigkeit fliegen. Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf öle
von einem zusammengesetzten Estertyp, die den besonderen

Erfordernissen einer solchen Verwendung entsprechen.
Bisher sind bis Schmiermittel! aus syntLe ti sehen, neutralen,
gesättigten Garbonsäureestern Phenothiazin oder deren Derivate, die im Kern mit Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen
substituiert sind, als oxydationsverhindernde Mittel verwendet worden. (Vergleiche U.S. Patent 3218256,
Spalte 2 oder Britisches Patent 824- 114·). Das zuletzt
genannte Patent zeigt auch die Verwendung von Benzotriazol für diesen Zweck, gegebenenfalls gemeinsam mit der Verwendung
von Phenothiazin. Außerdem sind Amine als Oxydationsverhinderer in Verbindung mit Phenothiazin oder
Benzotriazolen benutzt worden,wie sich aus der amerikanischen Patentschrift 3 24-7 111 , Spalte 3 ergibt,und zwar
für den Zweck, um eine unzulässig rasche Oxydation solcher synthetischer Esteröle zu verhindern. Auch phenolische
Oxydationsverhinderer sind angewendet worden. Nach dem amerikanischen Patent 3 24-7 111, Spalte 4-, Zeile 3 bis 10,
sind auch Chinizarin und seine einfachen Abkömmlinge und analoge Verbindungen als Oxydationsverhinderer benutzt
worden. Noch weitere Zusatzmittel sind zur Verhütung der Metallkorrosion angewendet worden, wie z» B. Sebazinsaure
(vergleiche britisches Patent 928 798 und US-Patent 2 730 871).
Als Zusatzmittel,.welche die Belastung übernehmen, sind
im allgemeinen die Phosphatester und Phosphitester ver-' wendet worden. (Vergleiche beispielsweise amerikanisches
Patent 2 971 912, Spalte 6 oder US-fatent 3 215 720, Spalte
1 und US-Patent 3 24-7 111, Spalte 4·). Besonders Dibutylphosphit
und iricresylphosphat sind in weitem Umfange zu dem Zweck benutzt worden, den synthetischen Esterölen
abriebschonende oder Belastung-vermindernde Eigenschaften
zu verleihen, obwohl jede der in den letzt-genannten drei amerikanischen Patenten angeführten Verbindungen auch in
üblicher V/eise daau dienen können, den Ölen die Eigenschaft

in Mischung nit den oben erwähnten ietraestern von tlonopentaerythritol brauchbar.
'J?;:.r gewähnlich v/erden komplexe oder Polyester-Ole ebenfalls
verwendet. Diese werden durch Veresterung von Polyolen wie G-lycolen oder den vorhin erwähnten Neopolyolen
und gradkettigen Alkandiolen mit Dicarbonsäuren wie Sucöinsäure, Glutarsäure, Adipinsäure, 2,2,4—Trimethyladipinsäure,
Pimelinsäure, Suberonsäure, ja.ze lain säure,
Sebazinsäure, Brassylsöure und zweibasischen dimeren Säuren
von Olein- und/oder Linoleinsäuren hergestellt. Die Diole
oder polyäthoxylierten Diole mit Alkylengruppen mit 2 bis
4- Kohlenstoffatomen oder deren Mischungen werden auch ■ in der lie^stälung von Polyestern aus zweibasischen Üäuren

Es wurde nun gefunden, daß AminoBenzfiaiide und deren
Abkömmlinge bei Verwendung in elfter Menge, die genügt, um Metallbestandteile wie Kupfer \ und Magnesium zu
passivieren -■ gewähnlich in der Größenordnung von
0,01-bis 5,0 Gewichtsprozent auf die Gesamtmenge der JilsterÖlmasse - beträchtlich die KOEJJosionsver-.
hütenden Eigenschaften der Öle gegenüber Metallen verbessern, das Bestreben zur Bildung von Ablagerungen in
den Ölen vermindern und ganz allgemein die Beständigkeit
des synthetischen üisteröls verbessern, ob sie nun bei
allgemein verwendeten Flugzeugturbinen oder den hochspezialisierten
übersehalldüaenmaschinen in der luftfahrt

angewendet werden, Ifli allgemeinen führt.die Verwendung
zahlreicher Phosphatester oder Phosphiteeter infolge
ihrer abriebverhindernden und die Belastung vermindernden
Eigenschaften bei kontinuierlicher Verwendung des Öls
zu einer erhöhten Metallkorrosion,einer vergrößerten
Azidität und einer erhöhten Ölviskositat» $n der Vergangenheit sind bereits verschiedene;Stoffe verwendet
worden, um die Metallkorrosion unter; Koö^ifolle zu halten»eiber
diese Stoffe erhöhen οφ& die As&tität des 01s
beim Gebrauch· Die Verwefedtmg vo» Te^biÄdungen, '
Eupferkörrosion verhindern^ wie Anthranil^gure, in
bindung mit N-Phenyl-beta~Haphthylamin führt aus bisher
nicht erklärten Gründen zu einer deutlichen Erhöhung
der Ülviskosität und Azidität bei Verwendung von synthetischen
Esterölen als Turbinenschmiermittel. Verschiedene Metallpassivierungsmittel, die in der Vergangenheit
benutzt worden sind, wirken nicht in Gegenwart
von spezifischen die Belaatung vermindernden Phosphatestern und PhOsphitestern, da sie nach dem
Zusatz von Öl mit dem Passivierungsmittel reagieren,
was den Zweck vereitelt, zudefficdaiöPapsivierungsmittel
in erster Linie zugesetzt worden ist. Die Azidität des JästerÖls wird bei Dauerverwendung auch dann erhöht» wenn übliche stickstoffhaltige Zusatzmittel
(aromatische' Aminoverbindungen) als Oxydations-verhütende
Mittel mitverwendet werdend Di^ Anwendung VoJj
Verbindungen des "Aminöbenzamid-£yps vemindert nicht
nur die Azidität und den Viskositätsanstieg bei der
Verwendung des Öls, sondern vermindert zusätzlich in
überraschender Weise die Korrosion von Kupfer und Magnesium sowie andere in den Düsenmaschinen anwesende
Metalle.
Verbindungen, die in den synthetischen,neutralen,

American Chemical Society, Band 34, Seite 1437 bis 1438 (im
Jahre 1917) beschrieben sind.)
Im allgemeinen enthalten die synthetischen Esteröle zwischen
etwa 0,01 und 5jO Gewichtsprozent, vorzugsweise zwischen
0,05 und etwa 0,2 Gewichtsprozent des Äditives. Solche geringen Mengen erfordern keinen hohen Grad von öllöslichkeit
der Anthranilaiaid-Verbindungen. Me Löslichkeit von Anthranilaniid
an sich in Esterölen ist genügend hoch, so daß es nicht erforderlich ist, an den Amino- oder Amido-Stick*-
stoff ein Alkyl- oder Cycloalkylradikal zu substituieren, um die öllöslichkeit des Anthranilamids zu verbessern.

Chloralkylphosphorsäuren verwendet werden, wie diese in der ·

mindernder Phosphatester besteht aus einer Mischung von Mono- und Dimethylphosphatestern, die mit einem gemischten
primären Alkylamin mit verzweigter Kette und 12 bis 14 Kohlenstoff
atomen im Molekül neutralisiert sind· Andere ähnliche
iypen saurer Phosphate oder Phosphitester, die mit primären
oder sekundären langkettigen Alkylaminen neutralisiert sind, können gleichfalls wertvoll sein. So ist beispielsweise
eine Mischung von Mono- oder Dialkylhydrogenphosphaten mit
8 bis 14- Kohlenstoffatomen im Molekül, die teilweise oder
vollständig mit Primen 81-H (eine handelsübliche Mischung
von primären Alkylaminen mit 12 bis 14 Kohlenstoffatomen im "
Molekül) neutralisiert sind, ebenfalls anwendbar. \
In allen Fällen können die üblichen bisher verwendeten
Verbindungen wie Phenothiazin, Benzotriaaole, Chinizarin · ·
und seine Analogen, sowie die primären und sekundären aromaticchen
Aminooxydationsverhinderer ebenfalls in Gemein- ; schaft mit den Anthranilamiden oder deren am Stickstoff
substituierten Kohlenwasserstoffderivaten verwendet werden. Die Menge der üblicherweise verwendeten Zusatzmittel ist
die gleiche, in der diese bisher verwendet wurden. Diese"
Mengen bewegen sich zwischen etwa 0,01 und etwa 5»0 Gewichtsprozent. Ks wurde Jedoch festgestellt, daß es unnötig ist,

Benzotriazol zu verwenden, das bisher als spezieller Korrosionsverhinderer für Kupfer benutzt wurde, wenn
man Aminobenzamid oder seine Derivate als tletallpassivierungsmittel
,anwendet· Obwohl Benzotriazol eine Verminderung der Metallkorrosion bewirkt, srhöht es
doch merklicherweise die Korrosion von Magnesium und steigert insgesamt die Aciditätszunahme, Es ist d-~her
erwünscht, diese Verbindung aus den genannten Gründen auszuschalten. Me Verwendung von Aminobenzamid en oder
ihren Derivaten hat es nun ermöglicht, die Verwendung von Benzotriazol oder seinen Derivaten auszuschalten
und gleichzeitig einige der wirksameren Phosphate und Phosphitester als die Belastung vermindernde Zusatzmittel
in synthetischen Esterölen anzuwenden, während bisher solche hochwirksamen die Belastung vermindernden
phosphorigen Zusatzmittel nicht angewendet werden konnten, weil sie eine zu starke (Tendenz zu einer Vermehrung des
däuregrades während der Verwendung der synthetischen Cle
zeigten und so eine praktische Anwendung solcher öle im technischen Betriebe nicht gestatteten. Die Verbindung
vom Anthranilamidtyp regelt und vermindert in v/irksamer
Weise die Zunahme des Säuregrades während der Verwendung der Esteröle im Flugbetrieb·
Anthranilamid kann nach einer Anzahl von Verfahren hergestellt werden, aber das allgemein angewendete Verfahren
besteht in der i-ieaktion von Anthranilsäure mit Chlorkohlensäureestern
von niederen aliphatischen Alkoholen, wobei Isatosäureanhydrid gebildet wird, die man dann mit
Ammoniak oder mit einem passenden primären oder sekundären Amin reagieren läßt, wobei Anthranilamid oder die am
Aminostickstoff substituierten Alkylderivate hiervon gewonnen werden. In ähnlicher v/eise werden zur Herstellung
solcher Derivate des Anthranilamids, in den der Aminostickstoff ,wie oben erwähnt, substituiert ist, anstelle von
Anthranilsäure selbst die entsprechenden N-Alkyl- oder

Reaktion des Isatin säure, anhydride .mit Ammoniak oder einem
entsprechenden Amin ist alt und stellt eine übliche Reaktion

Anthranilainid und seine Analogen können auch durch chemische

aber sofern dies in Zusammenhang mit den folgenden Versuchen der JFaIl war, ist diese Abänderung oder Abweichung
ausdrücklich erwähnt. Die Versuche sind streng; die Ergebnisse werden durch die spezifische -chemische Natur der
öle auf ästerbasis und der ii.rt der in dem Öl während des
Versuchs anwesenden Zusätze oder Zusatzmittel beeinflußt. Jer Versuch ist dazu bestimmt, den Angriff auf die verschiedenen
Metallproben zu messen, wobei die prozentuale Viskositätsänderung in Centistokes bei 38 (gewöhnlich .
erfolnt hierbei eine Viskositätszunahme), ferner die

Die Bestimmungen der amerikanischen Marine r«IIL-L-25599&
für Schmiermittel mit einer Viskosität von 5 Centistokes
für Gasturbinen schreiben bei dem O;d.dations-Korrosionstest
bei 205° während rld Stunden folgende Bedingungen vor:
+0,4 Kupfer-Korrosion in Milligramm pro ^uadratzentimeter;
+0,2 Milligramm pro ^uadratzentirneter Korrosion bei Magnesium,
Bilber, aluminium und ^isen;
eine unterschiedliche Zunahme oder Abnahme der Viskosität
des verwendeten Üls bei 38 , und zv/ar eine prozentuelle
Änderung um —5 % bis + 25 7o\
und eine unterschiedliche Zunahme in der Gesamtsäurezahl des
verwendeten Öls von max. 3>0 Milligramm KOH pro Gramm ül.
Aus den obigen tabellenmäßig zusammengestellten Daten ist ohne weiteres ersichtlich, daß bei maximaler 7/irksamkeit
eine entscheidende Verbesserung in der Erfüllung dieser Bedingungen bei gemeinsamer Verwendung von Verbindungen vom
Anthraniltyp und aromatischen Aminen vorhanden ist und daß die Gegenwart von Benzotriazol, wenn überhaupt, nicht so
-wichtig und jedenfalls nicht notwendig ist. Die Anwesenheit
von Chinizarin ist jedenfalls vorteilhaft zur Verbesserung
der Eigenschaften des verwendeten Öls, obwohl sie nicht erforderlich
ist, um den Marinevorschriften zu entsprechen. Anthranilaiaid und seine Derivate sind vorteilhaft, wenn sie
in synthetischen Esterschmierölen allein oder zusammen mit den üblichen 2usatzmitteln verwendet werden, wodurch die
Korrosion, von Kupfer und Magnesium vermindert und die Viskosi- I
tätszunahme und die Erhöhung der Säurezahl jedenfalls auf j einem Minimalwert gehalten wird. ;;
