Die Erfindung "betrifft synthetische Schmiermittel, die den
harten Beanspruchungen genügen,die in modernen "Flugzeuggas-.
turbinen auftreten. Insbesondere bezieht sich die Erfindung
auf ein Schmiermittel dieser Art,,das auf einem thermisch
stabilen Ester basiert und eine Kombination von Zusatzstoffen oder Additives enthält, die in erster Linie dazu bestimmt
sind, dem Grundschmiermittel gute Oxydationsbeständigkeit
bei hohen Temperaturen, Korrosionsbeständigkeit, Belastbarkeit
und Druckaufnahmefähigkeit sowie Beständigkeit gegen Hydrolyse zu verleihen.
Das Problem der thermischen Stabilität in Schmiermitteln
für Plugzeuggasturbinen läßt sich zufriedenstellend lösen
durch Verwendung bestimmter sterisch gehinderter Ester als
Grundöle, die im allgemeinen gleichzeitig gute Eigenschaften
bei tiefen Temperaturen haben und in vielen Fällen bei Temperaturen von -400C oder darunter flüssig sind. Ein schwierige"-res
Problem, dem man sich gegenübergestellt sieht, ist jedoch das Problem der Qxydations« und Korrosionsbeständigkeit,
das sich aus der fatsache ergibt, daß die Schmiermittel bei
hohen Öltemperaturen (etwa 20O0O) bei gleichzeitiger Berührung
mit Luft arbeiten müssen. Diese Bedingungen bewirken

eine starke Beschleunigung des öxydativen Abbaues des
Schmiermittels, der im allgemeinen zu einem Anstieg der Viskosität und Acidität sowie zu Korrosion oder Bildung von
Ablagerungen auf den Metallflächen führt. Ein zu starker Viskositätsanstieg kann eine Verringerung des Schmiermittelflusses
zu den Motorenlagern zur Folge haben, wodurch sich ungenügende Schmierung beim Start oder Anlaufen und/oder
ungenügende Kühlung während des Motorenbetriebes ergibt. Eine Schädigung der Motorenteile durch zu starke Korrosion
oder Ablagerung kann zum Ausfall der bewegten Teile führen,
und übermäßige Bildung von im öl unlöslichen Stoffen kann ungenügende Schmierung als Folge einer Blockierung der Ölwege
verursachen» Es ist daher sehr erwünscht, daß Schmiermittel dieses Typs höchstens eine sehr geringe Ueigung zum
Viskositäts- und Aciditätsans±±eg zeigen.
Der Gebrauchswert eines Schmiermittels in dieser Hinsicht
wird häufig ermittelt, indem es einem Oxydations- und Korrosionstest
unterworfen wird, bei dem eine Ölprobe bei hoher Temperatur mit Metallprüfstücken in Berührung gehalten wird,
während ein Luftstrom längere Zeit durch das Öl geleitet wird. Formen dieses Teste werden in vielen Spezifikationen
der Behörden und Motorenhersteller für Flugzeuggasturbinen-Schmiermittel
genannt. Bei einer Form dieses Testes, der dazu dient, öle für Betrieb bei hohen Temperaturen zu bewerten,
ist die Probengröße 90 g. Als Prüfbegingungen werden eine Temperatur von 2040Q» «feine Luftmenge von 5 1/Std. und
eine Prüfdauer von 72 Stunden angewendet, und als Metallprüfstücke dienen quadratische Bleche von 2,54 cm. Kantenlänge
auö einer Magnesiumlegierung, Aluminiumlegierung 9 ■
Kupfer, Silber und Stahl» Bei einer Variation dieser Methode beträgt die angewendete Temperatur 2180C und äie Erüfdauer
48 Stunden. Bei diesen Formen das Tests tritt bei ölen mit
sohlechter Oxydationsbeatändigkeit bei hoher Temperatur
ein starker Viakositäts- und Aciditätsanstieg ein, und die
öle pflegen gewisse Metalle, insbesondere Kupfer und Magne-

slum, zu. korrodieren.
Ein weiteres ernstes Problem "bei Sehmiermitteln dieser Art
ist die Erzielung ausreichender tragfähigkeit und Druckauf
nahmefähigkeit. Dieses Problem entsteht dadurch, daß Estergrundöle, die genügend leichtflüssig öder beweglich
sind, um die Anforderungen an Schmiermittel dieses IPyps
bei tiefer Temperatur zu. erfüllen (um beispielsweise leichten Start der Motoren unter extrem kalten Bedingungen zu ermöglichen),
sehr dünnflüssig sind, so daß ihnen unter Hochtemperatur-Betriebsbedingungen

flüssigkeit fehlt· Verschiedene Methoden werden angewendet, um die Tragfähigkeit oder Bruekaufnahmefähigkeit dieser
Schmiermittel zu ermitteln, z«B« der bekannte IAE-Zahnradverspannungsprüfstand,
Ia amtlichen Spezifikationen und solchen der Motorenhersteller"sind gewöhnlich Mindesttragfähigkeiten
und -belastharkeiten vorgeschrieben·
Ein weiteres Problem, das bei Schmiermitteln dieses Typs
auftritt, ist die Beständigkeit gegen Hydrolyse« Es hat sich gezeigt, daß dieses Problem sich insbesondere bei Schmiermitteln
ergibt, die Phosphate, z.B. Tritolylphosphat, enthalten, besonders wenn gewisse Metalldeaktivatoren anwesend
sind. Eine der Methoden zur Ermittlung der Hydrolysenbe- (
ständigkeit eine's Öls besteht darin, daß ein Gemisch des Öls mit Wasser bei 900G outer periodischer Bewegung aufbewahrt
wird. Die Acidität des Öls wird in beBtimmten Abständen
ermittelt, und das Ergebnis kann entweder als Acidität
nach einer gewissen Zwit oder als Zeit, die bis zur
Erreichung einer bestimmten Acidität vergeht, angegeben werden.
Behebung der vorstehend dargelegten Schwierigkeiten und Probleme sind die verschiedensten Zusatzstoffe oder Additives
bekannt. Bei der Herstellung eines endgültigen Schmiermittels isfe es jedoch wichtig, daß die besondere Kombination von
Grundöl und Zusatzstoffen im Gebrauch rein ist und nicht zu

unzulässig starken Ablagerungen auf Motorenteilen führt·
Eine der Methoden zur Ermittlung der Reinheit oder Sauberkeit eines Öls in dieser Hinsicht ist der später beschriebene
Blechverkokungstest (Panel-Coking Test)· Einen Anhaltspunkt für die Reinheit und Sauberkeit eines Öls erhält man
auch durch Messender Menge von unlöslichem Material, das
bei den vorstehend beschriebenen Oxydations-ZKorrosions-Tests
gebildet wird,
Spezifikationen für Schmiermittel für moderne Flugzeuggas-»
™ turbinen sind von den amtlichen Stellen Englands und der
Vereinigten Staaten sowie von verschiedenen Herstellern und Konstrukteuren dieser Motoren, z.B. Rolls Royce, Pratt and
Whitney und General Electric, aufgestellt worden. Leider sind die Anforderungen dieser Stellen nicht gleich. Es ist
möglich, daß ein Öl, das der einen Spezifikation entspricht,
den Anforderungen einer anderen Spezifikation bei weitem nicht genügt, Bei britischen Spezifikationen besteht beispielsweise
im allgemeinen die Tendenz, mehr Nachdruck auf
die Belastbarkeit und Druckaufnahmefähigkeit zu legen als bei amerikanischen Spezifikationen, Es ist zwar möglich, diesen
strengen Anforderungen hinsichtlich der Belastbarkeit und Druckaufnahmefähigkeit durch entsprechende Wahl der diese
Eigenschaften beeinflussenden Zusatzstoffe zu genügen, jedoch können die erhaltenen öle in Bezug auf die sehr hohe
Oxydations- und Korrosionsbeständigkeit, die gewisse amerikanische
Spezifikationen vorschreiben, ungenügend sein,
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Schmiermittel, das niedrige
Anfangsadidität und hervorragende Oxydations-, Korrosions-'
und Hydrolysenbeständigkeit, hm* Tragfähigkeit und Druekaufnahmefähigkeit
und gute Fließfähigkeit bei tiefen Temperaturen hat und im Gebrauch rein ist, d.h. die Bildung von
Ablagerungen verhindert, so daß es sich für die Schmierung moderner Flugzeuggasturbinen eignet. Eine besondere Aufgabe,
die die Erfindung eich stellt, ist die Schaffung eines

Schmiermittels, das allen verschiedenen Anforderungen der
jetzt gültigen (März 1968) Spezifikationen für !Turbinen
von ÜbersehaH-Transportflugzeugen entspricht oder annähernd
entspricht*
Das Schmiermittel gemäß der Erfindung "besteht aus einem
Estergrundöl, das aus einem flüssigen neutralen Polyester
besteht, der hergestellt wurde durch Umsetzung der folgenden
Komponenten unter Veresterungsbedingungen in einer oder mehreren Stufens
I) eines aliphatischen ein- und/oder mehrwertigen Alkohols
mit 5-10, vorzugsweise 5-8·Kohlenstoffatomen im Molekül, "
wobei kein Wasserstoffatom an ein Kohlenstoffatom in 2-Stellung zu einer OH-&ruppe gebunden ist, und
II) einer aliphatischen Mono- und/oder Polyoarbonsäure mit
3-12 Kohlenstoffatomen im Molekül,
und der die folgenden Bestandteile in Lösung enthält:
a) 1 bis 8, vorzugsweise 2 bis 6, insbesondere 3 bis 5 Gtew··^
eines alkylierten aromatischen Amins als Antioxydans, insbesondere eines solchen, dessen Alkylreste bis zu
14 Kohlehetoffatome enthalten,
b) 0,005 bis 1,5, vorzugsweise 0,005 bis O95 ßewe.-9"» eines

Das vorstehend beschriebene Schmiermittel hat ausgezeichnete
Oxydationsbeständigkeit, Korrosionsbeständigkeit, Hydrolysenbeständigkeit
und Belastbarkeit oder Drückaufnahmefähigkeit» Seine Tragfähigkeit s eigenschaft en können ohne wesentliche
Beeinträchtigung seiner Hydrolysenbeständigkeit durch Zusatz von 0,005 bis 0,2, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 0,1 Gew.-^ eines
Dialkylphosphits der Formel (R2O)2P(0)H, in der E2 ein
Alkyl- oder Oycloalkylrest mit bis zu 10 Kohlenstoffatomen»
z.B. Butyl oder Cyclohexyl, ist, noch weiter verbessert werden.
Falls gewünscht, kann die Hydrolysenbeständigkeit der Schmier mittel gemäß der Erfindung durch Zusatz von 0,005 bis 0,5,
vorzugsweise 0,02 bis 0,1 Gew.-$ eines die Hydrolysenbeständigkeit
verbessernden Mittels noch weiter verbessert werden. Geeignet zu diesem Zweck sind aliphatische oder
aliphatisch-aromatische imine mit bis zu 30 Kohlenstoffatomen
oder deren Hydroxylderivate, vorzugsweise tertiär© imine*
Am geeignetsten für diesen Zweck sind Amine der allgemeinen
Formel R4CR5Jm6, in der R4 und R5 Alkylreste mit 1 We 4
Kohlenstoffatomen sind und R ein Alknrylrest oder «in
hydroxysubstitalerter Alkylrest mit bis z& 20 Kohlenstoff»

mit Olefinen, die in der britiseften Patentschrift 1 085 375
"beschrieben sind* Die Polymeren oder Copolymeren müssen
natürlich im Estergrundöl löslieh sein. Am "besten geeignet
sind gewöhnlich solche mit Molekulargewichten im Bereioh "
von 1000 "bis 1«000.000, insbesondere 5000 "bis 500.000. Die'
oben genannten Acrylate und Methacrylate sind vorzugsweise solche, die von Acryl- oder Methacrylsäure und einwertigen
Alkoholen mit t bis 24, insbesondere 4 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen abgeleitet sind.
Wenn das Schmiermittel in Motoren gebraucht werden soll,
die Seile aus einer Bleilegierung enthalten, empfiehlt es sich» einen Bleikorrosionsinhibitor gewBhnlieh in einer
Konzentration von 0,01 bis 1,0, vorzugsweise O905 bis O925
Grew.-$ im Schmiermittel gu verwenden. Als Bleikorrosionsinhi-"bitoren
eignen sieh Cj-CgQ-Alkylgallttssäureester, Heopentylglykoldisebaoat,
Sebacinsäure und Chinizarin« Bevorzugt wird der Grallussäurepropylester.
Die in dieser Beschreibung genannten Eonsentrationen der
Zusatzstoffe sind auf das Estergrundöl bezogen· Heölrlich
können die Schmiermittel gleichzeitig mehrere Mitglieder
der vorstehend genannten Klassen von Zusatzstoffen enthalten· j

Das &rundöl ist ein steriscii gehinderter Polyester der oben
beschriebenen Art* Unter "Polyester11 ist ein Ester zu verstehen,
der wenigstens zwei Isterbindungen im Molekül enthält»
Hierunter fallen daher auch Biester, ζ·Β· Neopentylglykoldipelargonat
und Dl(2t2,4-trimethylpentyl)se*bacat·

Natürlich können in der vorstehend beschriebenen Veresterungsreaktion mehrere der genannten. Reaktioneteilnehmer verwendet

werden, z.B. ein Gemisch von Monocarbonsäuren. Jedenfalls
besteht das neutrale Est^rprodukt der Yeresterungsreaktion
zuweilen aus einem Gemisch von verschiedenen Estermolekülen.
Der Ausdruck "Polyester" ist demgemäß in diesem Sinne auszulegen.
Beispiele geeigneter Säuren und Alkohole, die für die Her-
öaprvlsäure· stellung des Polyesters verwendet werden kbnneii, sinü/Caprinsäure?
Capronsäure, önanthsäure, Pelargonsäure, Valeriansäure,
Pivalinsäure, Propionsäure, Buttersäure, 2-Äthylhexansäure,
Adipinsäure, Sebacinsäure, Azelainsäure, 2,2,4-Trimethylpentanol,
Heopentylalkohol, Heopentylglykol, Qftmethyloläthans
Srimethylolpropan, Irimethylolbutan, Pentaerythrit
und !!pentaerythrit«,
Die geeignetsten Polyester sind die Ester von Trimethylolpropaiij
Trimethylolbutan, Trimethyloläthan, Pwntaerythrit
und/oder Dipentaerythrit mit einer oder mehreren Monocarbonsäuren mit 3 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen, insbesondere einer
oder mehreren der im vorstehenden Absatz genannten Monocarbonsäuren, sowie komplexere Ester, ζ·Β» solche, die aus £rimethylolpropan,
Sebacinsäure und/oder Aselainsäure und einer oder mehreren Monocarbonsäuren mit 3 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen, insbesondere einer oder mehreren der im vorstehenden
Absatz genannten Monoearbonsäuren hergestellt sind» Am zweckmäßigsten
werden das Trimsthylolpropan und die Dicarbonsäure
im Molverhältnis von 1i0»05 bis 0,7.5» vorzugsweise
1*0,075 bis 0,4 umgesetzt, wobei die Menge der Monooarbonsäure genügt, um das' Oarboxyl/Hydroxyl-Grleiehgewicht in den
Reaktionsteilnehmern einzustellen.
Als Antioxydantien eignen sioh alkylierte aromatische Amine
der Formel R5CgH4NHC6H4R5, in der äie Rest« R5 Alkylreste
mit bis zu 14 Kohlenstoffatomen (nicht unbedingt die gleichen
in jedem gegebenen Molekül), vorzugsweise Ootyl- oder Nonyl-
reste sind· Besonders wirksam ist p,pf~DioGtyldiphenylamin.
Weitere geeignete alkylierte aromatische Amine sind die Mono·*- und Di-Cj -Cj ,-alkylphenylnaphthylamine , Phenthiazine,
Iminodibenzyle und Diphenylphenylendiamine, insbesondere
solche, in denen die Alkylreste Octyl- oder Honylreste sind.
Zur Erzielung bester Ergebnisse ist es 3edoch zweckmäßig, ein Zweikomponenten-Antioxydans zu verwenden» das aus einem
Gemisch der folgenden Bestandteile bestehtt
a) einem alkylierten Phenylnaphthylamin, insbesondere einem
Mono- oder DMÖ^-Ö^-alkylphenylnaphthylamini z.B. Mono- f
oder Dioctyl- oder Mono- oder Dinagrylphenyinaphthylamin,

b) einem alkylierten Diphenylamin, insbesondere Mono- oder
Di-Oi-G^-alkyldiphenylamin, beispielsweise eiiiem Dioetyrl-
oder Pinonyldiphenylamin*
Bei Verwendung dieser Kombination enthält .das Sehmiermittel
vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 4,5» insbesondere 0,5 bis 5,5 Sew.-r^
der Komponente a) und 0,5 bis 5»ö, insbesondere 1,5 bis
4,0 Gew.-5i der Kompdnente b). Am zweckmäßigsten wird die
Komponente b) in der 1- bis 10-fachen, insbesondere in der
2- bis 4-fachen Sewichtsmenge der Komponente a) verwendet.
Das alkylierte Diphenylamin wird wegen seiner Reinheit im (
Gebrauch und seiner lang anhaltenden Wirkung verwendet. Besonders bevorzugt wird prp-j)iootyldiphenylamin« Die Wirkt
eamkeit der alkylierten Diphenylamine als Oxydationsinhibitoren
bei Kurzzeit-Oxydationstests wird dsarch ein alkyliertes
Phenylnaphthylamin, vorzugsweise ein Monooötylph@nylnaphthyl-«
amin, noch gesteigert. Die Kombination erwies sich als sehr
zufriedenstellend für die Verhinderung des fiakosiitätsanetiegs
während der Oxydationatests und führt ζ ta* Bildung
unwesentlicher Schlamnengen.

Kupferpassivatoren sind eine "bekannte Klasse von Materialien
die die Aufgabe haben, das Aasmaß, in dem Metalle durch
korrodierende Stoffe angegriffen werden,, zu verringern· Der
in den Schmiermitteln gemäß der Erfindung verwendete Zupfer™
passivator muß natürlich im Srundöl löslich sein* Dieser
Zusatzstoff bewirkt eine Verringerung der Korrosion von Kupfer enthaltenden Motorenteilen* wenn sie dem Schmiermittel
über lange Zeiträume bei hohen £emperataren in Gegenwart
von Luft ausgesetzt sind» Die Wirksamkeit von Metallpassivatoren kann durch die vorstehend beschriebenen Oxydations-/Korrosionsprüfungen
gemessen werden* Kupfer ist das
kritischste Metall bei diesen Prüfungen. Es hat sich gezeigt,
daß dann, wenn dieses Metall wirksam passiviert werden kann, die Korrosion der anderen vorhandenen Metalle mit Ausnahme ,
von Blei vernachlässigter gering ist.
Die folgenden Klassen von Kapf erpassivatoren. kommen in Frage»
1) Kupferpassivatoren vom Azoltyp, z.B. Imidaeol, Eyrazol,
Triazol und deren Derivate, z.B. Benzotriaeol, Methylbenzotriazol,
Xthylbenzotriazol, Butylbenzotriazol,
Dodecylbenzotriazol, Methylen-bis-fcenzotriazol und Naphthotriaaol.
2) Salioylaldehyd-semicarbazon und dessen Ö
vate, z.B. Methyl- and Isopropylaalisylaldehydeemiearba
zon.
3) Kondensationsprodukt« von Salioylaldehyd- oad Hydrazin«=
derivaten und Fettaäuraaalze so Ich ar KondsnaAtionspr·:—

Ein aus mehreren komponenten bestehendes System zur Erzielung
eines hohen Lastaufnahmevermögens wird in den Sehmiermitteln
,gemäß der Erfindung verwendet, -nämlich ein Hauptlastaufnahmezusatz
(der oben genannte Zusatzstoff e) und ein - oder ä
mehrere Hö'chstdrueksusätze (Booster), Ein sehr hohes Lastaufnahmevermögen
ist erzielter durch Verwendung hoher Konzentrationen des Hauptzusatzstoffs, jedoch wirkt sich dies
nachteilig auf die Hydrolyannbeständigkeit der Mischung aus
und führt oberhalb eines gewissen Punktes zu einem unannehmbaren
Viskositätsanstieg b©i den Öxjdationsprilfungen. Hohes
liastaufnahmevermögen in. Kombination mit guter Oxidationsbeständigkeit
und Hydrolysez£fe©sti,näigk@It ist ersielbar·, wenn

Als hauptsächlicher Hochdruckzusatz (c) wird Tritolylphosphat
bevorzugt, jedoch sind auch Triphenylphosphat, Phenyl/Tolylphosphate,
TrixyllTylphosphat, Tributylphosphat, Tricyclohexylphosphat
und sterisch gehinderte Alkylphosphate, ζ«33.
Tri(terte-butylphenyl)phosphat und Tri(2,2-dimethylpentyl)-phosphat,
wirksam. Als Amine für die Herstellung des neutralen
Aminsalzes des Dialkylhydrogenphosphats eignen sieh Laurylamin,
Tetraäthylenamin, Anilin, die Naphthylamine, Aminoguanidin,
Diphenylamin, alkylierte 33iphenylamine (z.B. Di·»
octyldiphenylamin) und IST-lthylanilin, Bevorzugt wird laurylamine
Gegebenenfalls kann eine sehr geringe Menge (bis zu 25 Teile
pro Million) eines Sohaumverhüjbungsmittels, s.B· eines
Silicons, dem Schmiermittel zugesetzt werden.
Sechs Proben -(A, B, G9 1,:E und F) von Schmiermitteln gemäß
der Erfindung wurden aas den in der folgenden Tabelle 1
genannten Bestandteilen hergestellte In der Tabelle 1st ferner die Zusammensetzung (X) eines Schmiermittels angegeben^

als das beste ihr bisher bekannte synthetische Hoohteiaperatur-Schmiemittel
angesehen wiria Die Tabelle zeigt, daß das Schmiermittel X eine ähnliche Zusammensetzung wie das
Schmiermittel A hats daS jedoch das Iiaurylaffliaoniüindibutyl-phosphat
des Sehmier-Hittels A duro.h 0,02:-Gew<,-$ Bibiatylhydrogenphosphat
(GJIqQ)^(O)QK und das Meyelohexylphoaphit
durch 0,05 Gew.-^Dibutylphosphit (C^Hg0)2^C0)H ersetzt
worden ist.
In den Schmiermitteln wurden die folgenden Srundole verwendet;
G-riindöl Pi Ein !komplexer Eater, hergestellt durch Veresterung
von Caprylsäure, 1 ,1,1-Trimethylpropaix und Sebacinsäure im
Molverhältnis von 28:10:1.
Grundöl Q: Ein komplexer Ester, hergestellt durch Veresterung
von Oaprylsäure, 1,1,1-Trimethylolpropan und Sebacinsäure
im Molverhältnis von 10,7:4,25:1.
Grundöl R: Gemisch aus 4 Gew*-Teilen eines neutralen Esters
von Pentaerythrit und einem Gemisch von geradkettigen Ca-CL-Monocarbonsäuren
mit 1 Gew.-Teil eines neutralen Esters von Dipentaerythrit und dem gleichen Säuregemisch»
Grundöl St Ein durch Veresterung von Pentaerythrit, Önanthsäure
und 2-Xthylhexansäure im Molverhältnis von 1:3i1
hergestellter Ester.
Die folgenden Zusatzstoffe wurden in den Schmiermitteln verwendet:

und Reingungswirkung nach Testmethoden der
Art geprüft, die in den Spezifikationen der Regierung und
Motorenhersteller für Schmiermittel, die für moderne Düsenflugzeuge geeignet sind, vorgeschrieben sind»
Oxydations- und Korrosionstest
Diese Prüfung wurde auf die oben beschriebene Wsise "bei

B der vorstehend genannten deutschen Patentschrift). Das Schmiermittel Y genügt den Anforderungen der britischen
Spezifikationen sowohl hinsichtlich des Lastaufnahmevermögens als auch der Oxydation und Korrosion, jedoch ist zu erkennen,
daß es außerfialb der Oxydations- ancfc Korrosionsgrenzen der
amerikanischen Spezifikation liegt, während die öle A bis 3?
völlig innerhalb dieser Grenzen liegen. Die Öle A bis F
schneiden bei diesem Te.st mit dem Öl X gut ab.

Dieser Test ist so angelegt, daß die Lagerung der öl· unter
den schlimmsten mögliehen Bedingungen, d.h. bei hoher
Feuohtiglceit und hoher Temperatur in den. !Eropen, simuliert
wird*.. Der Kurzzeittest "besteht darin, daß eine Frohe des
Öls in einem Glasbehälter bei 900C in inniger Berührung
mit einer aliquoten Wassermenge gehalten wird· Die beiden Flüssigkeiten werden in gewissen Abständen geschüttelt. Das
Ergebnis wird als Zeit angegeben, die erforderlich let, um eine Aoidität von 1,5 mg IOH/g zu erreiohen· Die Ergebnisse
sind in !Tabelle 4 genannt und zeigen, daß die Schmiermittel gemäß der Erfindung dem Schmiermittel Z hinsichtlich Hydrolysenbeständigkeit überlegen sind.

Bei diesem Test wird der bekannte IAE-Zahnradverapannungsprüfstand verwendet, bei dem eine Gruppe von Zahnrädern mit
dem zu prüfenden öl bei bestimmten erhöhten Temperaturen besprüht wird und die Zahnräder sich mit 2000 TJpH unter Belastung drehen. Die Laet, bei der Irtsstn der Zahnräder
eintritt, wird notiert. Die Ergebnisse sind in.Tabelle 5
angegeben·

Die Öle A1 B, O und D entsprechen den (zur Zeit "bekannten)
sehr scharfen Anforderungen hinsichtlich Lastaufnahmevermögen
in den neuesten "britischen Spezifikationen für hoch
"beanspruchte Gasturbinenschmiermittel für Überschall-Transportflugzeuge
oder kommen diesen Anforderungen nahee Diese
Anforderungen hinsichtlich des Lastaufnahmevermögens sind schärfer als diejenigen der oben genannten amerikanischen
Spezifikation für ein Öl Tom Typ 2, der die Öle J, K, L und M entsprechen. Bis jetzt (März 1968) sind keine öle
* erschienen* die die derzeitigen "britischen Spezifikationen
erfüllen.
Bleikorrosionstest
Die Bleikorrosion wurde gemessen, indem eine Probe des Öls
5 Stunden "bei 1900O gehalten wird, während Luft in einer
Menge von 28 1/Std. durchgeleitet wird und eine Kupferplatte
in das öl getaucht iste Eine Bleiplatte wird im öl in
Drehung gehalten und der Gewichtsverlust naoh dem Test gemessen«
Ein öl des in Frage kommenden Typs gilt als gut, wenn der Gewichtsverlust nicht höher ist als 0,93 mg/cm ·
Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 6 angegeben.

Die allgemeine Reinheit oder Rein&gungswirkung der Schmiermittel
wurde außerdem mit Hilf» dieses Tests ermittelt, bei dem eine Probe des Öls θ Stunden auf eine gewogene, auf
3160C erhitzte Aluminiumplatte gespritzt und Art und Gewicht
der Ablagerung auf der Platte notiert werden·
Ein Ul, das eine Ablagerung von nicht mehr als 10 mg bildet,
gilt als außergewöhnlich gutes öl dee in Rede stehenden Type.

Die Ergebnisse sind in !Tabelle 7 zusammen mit den Ergebnissen
für handelsübliche öle «Τ, K, Ii und M und für die
öle X und Y genannt· Ss zeigt sich, daß die Ablagerungsbil&img
bei den ölen gemäß der Erfindung viel geringer ist als bei den anderen ölen.

Schmiermittel auf der Basis eines synthetischen Schmieröles, bestehend aus einem flüssigen neutralen Polyester, der hergestellt worden ist durch Umsetzung I) eines aliphatischen ein- und/oder mehrwertigen Alkohols mit 5 bis 10 C-Atomen im Molekül, wobei kein Wasserstoffatom an ein C-Atom in 2-Steilung zu einer OH-Gruppe gebunden ist, mit
