Description
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Schmiermittelmischungen, die zur Schmierung von Kurbelwanne
und Zylindern von Verbrennungskraftmaschinen, insbesondere Dieselmotoren, geeignet sind. Die erfindungsgemäßen
Schmiermittelmischungen sind insbesondere geeignet zum Schmieren der Zylinder von
Verbrennungskraftmaschinen, die mit Rückstandtreibstoffen, Mischungen von Rückstand-und Destillattreibstoffen
oder Destillattreibstoffen betrieben werden, die bei der Verbrennung einen hohen Anteil von
sauren Produkten bilden. Destillattreibstoffe, die bei der Verbrennung einen solchen hohen Anteil von
sauren Produkten entstehen lassen, umfassen solche, die einen Gesamtschwefelgehalt von wenigstens
0,1 Gewichtsprozent aufweisen.
Die Verwendung der beschriebenen Treibstoffe ist wegen ihrer geringen Kosten erwünscht. Es hat sich
jedoch gezeigt, daß sie einen abnorm hohen Zylinderverschleiß ergeben durch das Vorliegen von verschiedenen
anorganischen Materialien in den Treibstoffen, wie Schwefel, und in manchen Fällen Vanadium
und Natrium. Auch die Sauberkeit der Motoren, in denen diese Treibstoffe verwendet werden, ist
unbefriedigend.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß die Zylinderverschleißgeschwindigkeit und die Sauberkeit von mit diesen
Treibstoffen betriebenen Motoren durch die Verwendung einer bestimmten Zylinderschmiermittelmischung
ganz erheblich verbessert werden kann. Die Schmiermittelmischung ist ebenso als Kurbelwannenschmiermittel
geeignet und kann daher in Tauchkolbenmotoren, d. h. in Motoren, die das gleiche
Schmiermittel für Kurbelwanne und Zylinder haben, verwendet werden.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist die Verwendung eines beweglichen Schmiermittels auf Schmierölbasis mit
einem Gehalt bis zu 40 Gewichtsprozent des Gesamtmittels an einer Polyoxoaluminiumacylatverbindung
der allgemeinen Formel O«AlmXj>, in welcher X den
Arylatrest RCOO— (R gegebenenfalls substituierter
aliphatischer oder aromatischer Kohlenwasserstoffrest), n, m und ρ ganze Zahlen ab 1 bedeuten und m
nicht kleiner als 2, m/n 0,75 bis 2,0 und m/p 0,5 bis 3,0 ist, sowie gegebenenfalls Antigelmitteln, zum Schmieren
von Verbrennungskraftmaschinen, die mit einem einen hohen Anteil an sauren Verbrennungsprodukten
bildenden Treibstoff betrieben werden. In den PoIyoxoacylatverbindungen
können die Acylatreste gleich oder verschieden sein.
Die Acylatreste stammen vorzugsweise von der Benzoesäure, der Salicylsäure oder aliphatischen
Monocarbonsäure mit 12 bis 20 Kohlenstoff-Bewegliches Schmiermittel
für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen,
die mit einem einen hohen Anteil
an sauren Verbrennungsprodukten
bildenden Treibstoff betrieben werden

Die in den erfindungsgemäßen Schmiermitteln
verwendeten polymeren organischen Verbindungen werden üblicherweise als Polyoxoaluminiumacylate
bezeichnet. Sie können durch Erhitzen von Aluminiumalkoholaten mit Wasser und Carbonsäure in einer oder

mehreren Stufen und vorzugsweise in einem inerten, Grundöl P:
nicht flüchtigen Verdünnungsmittel wie leichtem Ein SAE-30-grade-Mineralschmieröl mit einer
Schmieröl hergestellt werden. Ebenso können sie aber Viskosität von 158 SUS bei 600C und einem
auch durch Erhitzen von Alurniniumalkoholaten nur Viskositätsindex von 65
mit Carbonsäuren unter Freiwerden von Alkohol 5 -.

Die Zusammenstellung der einzelnen Mängel des Motors entstammt der Methode der US. Navy für
die Bestimmung von Schmierölen (SAE Journal-Transactions Bd. 53, Nr. 5).
Bei dem Betrieb des Motors unter Verwendung des Straight-Öls als Schmiermittel (Grundöl Q) war der
Ringverschleiß normal, wenn man den Schwefelgehalt des Treibstoffes berücksichtigt. Bei dem Betrieb des
Motors nach der Erfindung, d. h. unter Verwendung der Mischung D als Schmiermittel, ist der Verschleiß
dagegen äußerst gering.
Claims (8)
1. Verwendung eines beweglichen Schmiermittels auf Schmierölbasis mit einem Gehalt bis zu
40 Gewichtsprozent des Gesamtmittels an einer Polyoxoaluminiumacylatverbindung der allgemeinen
Formel OnAlmXp, in welcher X den Arylatrest
RCOO— (R gegebenenfalls substituierter aliphatischer oder aromatischer Kohlenwasserstoffrest),
n, m und ρ ganze Zahlen ab 1 bedeuten und m nicht kleiner als 2, w/n 0,75 bis 2,0 und m/p 0,5 bis
3,0 ist, sowie gegebenenfalls Antigelmitteln, zum Schmieren von Verbrennungskraftmaschinen, die
mit einem einen hohen Anteil an sauren Verbrennungsprodukten bildenden Treibstoff betrieben
werden.
2. Ausführungsform nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Gehalt der Aluminiumverbindung
5 bis 25 Gewichtsprozent der Mischung beträgt.
3. Ausführungsform nach Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Acylatgruppen
der Aluminiumverbindung von der Benzoesäure, der Salicylsäure oder aliphatischen Monocarbonsäuren
mit 12 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen, insbesondere von der Stearin- oder handelsüblichen
Ölsäure abgeleitet sind.
4. Ausführungsform nach Ansprüchen 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in der Aluminiumverbindung
m, η und ρ jeweils gleich 3 sind.
5. Ausführungsform nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Aluminiumverbindung der
allgemeinen Formel

entspricht, in welcher X, X' und X" gleiche oder verschiedene Acylatgruppen bedeuten.
6. Ausführungsform nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zwei Drittel der Acylatgruppen
von der Stearinsäure und das andere Drittel von der Benzoesäure abgeleitet sind.
7. Ausführungsform nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß alle Acylatgruppen von
handelsüblicher Ölsäure abgeleitet sind.
8. Ausführungsform nach Ansprüchen 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Antigelmittel
8-Oxychinolin ist.
