Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a moléculas polinucleotídicas que comprenden secuencias de nucleótidos que codifican un producto génico AveC, moléculas polinucleotídicas que pueden usarse para alterar la relación o cantidad de avermectinas de clases 2:1 producidas en cultivos de fermentación de S. Avermitilis. La presente invensión se refiere además a vectores, células hospedadoras y cepas mutantes de S. Avermitilis en las que el gen aveC se ha inactivado o mutado para cambiar la relación o cantidad de avermectinas de clases 2:1 producidas.
