Description
技术领域
本发明涉及铝容纳器,尤其涉及一种具有用于接受盖的螺纹颈部的铝容纳器。
背景技术
本领域已知的是由铝和钢制成的拉制罐或者拉制和挤拉罐可用于包装啤酒、软饮料、油、和其它液体。大多数用于啤酒和饮料的金属罐适于使用相对平的盖或端部来封闭,这些盖或端部通过二重卷封或相似工艺固定在罐上。盖可具有形成在其中的可撕下的封口条以及装接到封口条上的拉片,以便有助于触及到封口条,由此在盖中提供开口。
不是所有的铝容器具有平顶。本领域已知的是对于铝容器使用一系列的颈部成形模具以便在容器的一端上形成颈部。螺纹随后通过以下方式形成在容器的颈部中,即,将第一和第二螺旋滚压刀具分别定位在颈部的内表面和外表面附近并且抵靠该表面可旋转地移动该刀具。带螺纹的铝容器通常有相对厚的金属制成,即至少0.020英寸厚。这种材料通常是纯铝(99.5-99.8%的铝),纯铝是相对软的并且允许在颈部形成螺纹。
铝容器的内侧通常设置有一涂层,其防止未加工的铝与容器的内含物之间相互影响。在容器的颈部上形成螺纹的过程可能破坏和/或除去该涂层的一部分,由此使得容器的内含物与未加工的铝接触。而且,被破坏或损坏的涂层可能在该容器填充之后脱落,由此污染该容器的内含物。
对于在铝容器中直接形成螺纹的改进在于围绕铝容器的颈部固定一塑料或其它材料的套筒。这种套筒的使用的示例见名称为“Methodand Apparatus for Die Necking a Metal Container”的美国专利5713235,名称为“Assembly of Aluminum Cans and ThreadedSleeve”的美国专利6010026,名称为“Threaded Aluminum Cans andMethods of Manufacture”的美国专利5718352,名称为“Methods andApparatus for Necking a Metal Container and ResultantContainer”的美国专利5778723,名称为“Lightweight ReclosableCan with Attached Threaded Pour Spout and Methods ofManufacture”的美国专利6010028,以及名称为“Method of makingBottle-Shaped Metal Cans”的美国专利5822843。通常,为了防止套筒在容器上的旋转,可在容器和/或套筒上设置小的凹口、肋、槽口等。该套筒还可胶粘到容器上,以便防止相对旋转。然而,在容器中形成凹口、肋、槽口等可能损坏在容器内侧上的保护性涂层。因此,存在着这样的需要,即,提供一种用于将螺纹套筒固定到铝容器的颈部上的方法以及一种由此获得的改进容器。
发明内容
本发明涉及一种铝容器,其包括:基部;从该基部向上延伸的大致垂直的壁部;从该壁部延伸的过渡部;以及从该过渡部延伸的颈部。该颈部具有锥度,并且具有上端部,该上端部的厚度的壁厚优选为小于该颈部的其余壁的厚度。该颈部的该上端部还具有倒角。
本发明的铝容器可以与螺纹套筒组合,以便形成容纳器。该套筒具有外表面和内表面。该外表面具有在其上的螺纹,而该内表面具有与该颈部的锥度互补的锥度,以便与该颈部形成摩擦配合。该套筒还具有形成在其上部外表面的周边中的切口。当该颈部的上倒角端部被卷边时,该颈部在该套筒的顶端部之上延伸并终止于该套筒中的该切口中。
本发明还涉及一种将套筒固定到类型为具有锥形颈部的铝瓶的颈部上的方法,该套筒具有互补的锥度。该方法包括:将该套筒定位到该颈部上,以便该颈部的一部分延伸超出该套筒;以及使得该颈部的延伸超出该套筒的所述部分卷边,以便该卷边至少覆盖该套筒的上端部的一部分。该卷边步骤使得该套筒安装在该颈部上,以便在其间形成摩擦配合。
通过使得该容器的颈部具有锥度,并使得该螺纹套筒具有互补的锥度,从而可在颈部或螺纹套筒中不需要任何凹部、凹口、或相似结构的情况下获得摩擦配合。由于该锥度,该螺纹套筒可容易地插入到容器的颈部上。其后,卷边步骤(使得颈部延伸超出套筒的端部卷边),将螺纹套筒进一步向下推到容器的颈部上,由此实现非常紧密的摩擦配合。通过控制颈部延伸超出螺纹套筒的量,并由此控制可用于卷边的材料量,可使得螺纹套筒可精确地定位在容器的颈部上。此外,通过在该螺纹套筒的上部外周边表面中设置切口,可使得颈部的卷边边缘终止于该切口内,由此覆盖该螺纹套筒的整个顶边缘,以及为最终的容纳器提供平滑的轮廓。其中没有暴露出来的铝,并且没有损坏在容器的内侧上的保护性涂层的可能。参照以下的优选实施例的详细描述,可更好地理解本发明的这些和其它的优点和有益效果。

具体实施方式
图1示出了依据本发明构造的容器10。在图1中所示的示意尺寸仅仅是用来图示,而不是限制。所有的尺寸以毫米来表示。
容器10包括底部12,大致垂直的壁部14从该底部延伸。过渡部16从壁部14延伸,而颈部18从过渡部16延伸。应当理解,容器10可使用公知的冲击挤压工艺来制造。在冲击挤压过程中,一大致纯铝(即铝具有大约99.5-99.8%的纯度)的铝条通过冲击挤压以形成具有所需直径且具有给定高度的壁的容器。在冲击挤压过程之后,壁部16通过使用一个或多个模具来延长。其后,该容器通过切边来去除不平整的边缘。
在切边之后,容器的内部可涂敷有保护性涂漆涂层,其随后在炉中固化。其后,可在容器10的外表面上施加图案。
用于制造例如气溶胶容器的通常的冲击挤压过程在依据已知工艺通过应用一系列的颈部成形模具形成颈部18之后可进行改变。在形成颈部18之后,最后的颈部成形模具使得颈部18具有一轻微的锥度。颈部成形模具21的示例如图3所示,为了容器10的插入,颈部18的锥度确定成,颈部在其顶部为26.6毫米而在其底部为25.2毫米。尽管在优选实施例中该锥度大约为1度,但是应当理解也可使用其它尺寸的锥度。在图3中仅示出了这种尺寸。
在颈部18形成锥度之后,在其上端部20处的材料的一部分被除去,以便颈部18的上端部20的壁厚小于颈部18的其余部分的壁厚,如图2所示。在图2所示的实施例中,.20毫米的材料从4毫米的颈部18的上端部20中被除去。此外,颈部18的端部具有45度的倒角。尽管图2所示的细节对于在如图4-7所示的螺纹套筒22与本发明的颈部18之间形成摩擦配合不是必需的,但是该材料的去除和该边缘的倒角提供了以下将详细描述的优点。
现参照图4-7,其中示出了螺纹套筒22。如图4所示,螺纹套筒22具有带有螺纹26的外表面24以及内表面28。内表面28形成有与容器10的颈部18上的锥度互补的锥度。如图6所示,螺纹套筒22的顶边缘29具有切口30,这是用于制造套筒22的过程的残迹。图7所示的尺寸仅仅是示意性的,而不是限定性的。螺纹套筒22优选为包括塑料,但是也可包括多种其它的材料,例如铝或其它金属。
如图5、6、7所示,切口32形成在上部外表面24的周边上以及在螺纹套筒22的顶边缘29处。以下将描述切口32的作用。
现参照图8,图1所示类型的容器在容器10的颈部18上带有如图4所示类型的螺纹套筒22。颈部18的上端部20延伸超出螺纹套筒22大约2-3毫米。螺纹套筒22在颈部18上的最终安置可由颈部18的上端部20延伸超出螺纹套筒22的高度来控制,这将在下面描述。
图8所示的容器作为进料供应给多个卷边模具34,其中的一个卷边模具如图9所示。多个卷边模具34围绕未示出的定中心心轴定位。容器10的上端部20借助该定中心心轴的应用从而引导到多个卷边模具34中。多个卷边模具34使得颈部18的上端部20延伸超出螺纹套筒22的材料如图10、11、12所示地卷边。如图9所示的尺寸仅仅是示意性的,而不是限定性的。
现参照图10、11、12,图10示出了完整的容纳器36。如图所示,该完整的容纳器36包括容器10和固定在其上的螺纹套筒22。在本发明中,该固定机理基本上借助摩擦配合来实现。
更详细地参照图11,颈部18的上端部20被卷边,以便其完全地覆盖螺纹套筒22的上边缘29。此外,卷边终止于形成在螺纹套筒22中的切口32内。如图11所示,由于上端部20的厚度减小以及该倒角,因此卷边以这样的方式终止于切口32内,即,为容纳器36的顶部提供了大致连续的轮廓。此外,该卷边部分由涂漆层覆盖,因此没有暴露出来的铝。最后,该卷边完全地覆盖该顶边缘29,并且因此在螺纹套筒22的顶边缘29中覆盖该切口32。如其它附图所示,图11所示的尺寸仅仅是示意性的,而不是限定性的。
在图12中,所示的容器10被卷边,其中没有螺纹套筒。因此,图12提供了在颈部18的上端部20上形成卷边的附加图示。图12所示的尺寸仅仅是示意性的,而不是限定性的。
应当理解,本发明的容器以及由此获得的容纳器可以以各种形状和尺寸形成。应当理解,容器和由此获得的容纳器可以具有例如35-66毫米的直径以及例如70-260毫米的高度。如图1所示的过渡部16称为锥形肩部。其它类型的过渡部16包括:如图13所示的圆形肩部,如图14所示的椭圆形肩部,如图15所示的符合人机工程学的肩部,如图16所示的平肩部。
图17示出了用于密封本发明的容纳器36的盖38。盖38优选为由铝制成。盖38在其顶部具有例如PVC的材料,其旨在用作内衬并且形成密封。盖38定位在容器36的螺纹套筒22之上。其后,以向下的方式施加例如35英寸磅的压力,以下实现密封。当向下施加压力时,螺纹滚压刀具施加例如38英寸磅的侧压力,以便使得盖38变形,由此使得螺纹与螺纹套筒22带有的螺纹互补。
在盖38的底边缘44处由多个断开部件46承载有防擅动的密封件42。如本领域的现有技术已知,当盖38施加到容纳器36上时,防擅动的密封件42向内弯折。防擅动的密封件42的向内弯折使得该防擅动的密封件42置于例如螺纹套筒22的底突出部48之下,如图11清晰所示。当该防擅动的密封件42如此定位时,取下盖38将导致断开部件46从防擅动的密封件42上断开,由此使得当取下盖38时该防擅动的密封件42留在容纳器的颈部上。盖38在形成螺纹之后可随后重新置于容纳器36上以重新密封容纳器。可设置其它类型的盖和防擅动的密封件。例如(未示出的)棘轮齿形成在螺纹套筒22的底部上,其于保持在防擅动的密封件的齿配合,防擅动的密封件通过断开部件连接到盖上。盖沿逆时针方向的旋转使得防擅动的密封件断开。
尽管在以上的详细描述中参照优选实施例描述了本发明,但是本领域的普通技术人员应当理解,本发明不限于所示的实施例,并且在不脱离由后附的权利要求限定的本发明的范围内的情况下,可进行许多附加和变型。因此,本发明仅由后附的权利要求及其等效形式来限定。
Claims (21)
1.一种铝容器,其包括:
基部;
从该基部向上延伸的大致垂直的壁部;
从该壁部延伸的过渡部;以及
从该过渡部延伸的颈部,该颈部相对于该壁部具有锥度。
2.如权利要求1所述的容器,其特征在于,该颈部的所述锥度大致为1度。
3.如权利要求1所述的容器,其特征在于,该壁部的厚度大约为.7毫米。
