Abstract

The bottle, especially PET bottle, for storage and transportation of liquids, in particular beverages with normal or increased internal pressure, includes a neck, a crown and a thread. The crown has a wall with the external diameter equal approximately (1.08-1.10), preferably 1.09 of the internal wall diameter and is topped with a flange with the internal diameter equal approximately (1.13-1.15), preferably 1.14 of the internal wall diameter and the height equal approximately 0.1 of the internal wall diameter. On the external wall surface, the thread has an external outline diameter equal approximately (1.24-1.28), preferably 1.26 of the internal wall diameter.

  • Not applicable.
  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The subject of the utility model is a bottle, in particular a PET bottle, which is used for storage and transportation of liquids, especially beverages with normal or increased internal pressure.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • A bottle is a shaped container with a shaped bottle neck. The crown has an internal duct and on its outside there is a shaped thread, usually trapezoid thread with vertical gaps.
  • In the state of the art, the external diameter of the crown is approximately equal to 1.14 of the external diameter. The shaped crown has an external thread.
  • This solution requires significant amount of the raw material—plastics.
  • As the diameter is even along the whole external surface, the thread on the surface is of limited height; therefore, it has decreased contact surface with the cap thread.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The essence of the utility model, which is a bottle in form of a shaped container, with a neck in its upper part topped with a crown with a thread for a shaped cap, is characterized in that the crown has a wall with the external diameter equal approximately (1.08-1.10), preferably 1.09 of the internal wall diameter and is topped with a flange with the internal diameter equal approximately (1.13-1.15), preferably 1.14 of the internal wall diameter and the height equal approximately 0.1 of the internal wall diameter, while on the external wall surface it has a thread with the external outline diameter equal approximately (1.24-1.28), preferably 1.26 of the internal wall diameter.
  • The solution according to the utility model provides the following technical and utility advantages:
      • decrease of raw material consumption for the manufacture of the bottle,
      • decrease of manufacturing costs,
      • improvement of cap tightness,
      • better placement of cap side surfaces at sealing surfaces,
      • decrease of the bottle weight, and
      • preferable force distribution on thread contact surfaces improves bottle tightness
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a side elevation view of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The subject of the utility model is presented in the figure, which shows the outline of the bottle crown as seen from the side.
  • The cylindrical crown 1, as an internal part of the bottle located on the neck, not shown in the figure, has an internal surface which comprises the duct 2, of the diameter D1. The external crown surface has a diameter D2 equal approximately 1.09 of the diameter D1. Flange 3 has a height h equal approximately 0.1 of the diameter D1 and the external diameter D3 equal approximately (1.13-1.15), preferably 1.14 of the external wall diameter D1. The crown on the external wall surface has a sectional thread 4 with the external outline diameter D4, approximately equal 1.26 of the internal wall diameter D1. Below the thread the crown 1 has standard PET flanges 5.
