Abstract

A bottle cap includes an upper cap and a lower cap. The upper cap is connected to the lower cap, and can be buckled to the lower cap. An internal thread matching a bottle body is arranged in the lower cap. A spout is disposed on the lower cap, and an air vent is opened in the lower cap. A cone-shaped protrusion for sealing the air vent is disposed on the upper cap. A plastic gasket and a shim are disposed in a cavity of the lower cap. The plastic gasket is tightly pressed and fixed in the cavity of the lower cap by the shim. The plastic gasket is ring-shaped. One quarter of a semicircle is recessed at the ring. A notch is arranged at the ring of the plastic gasket. Round through-holes are evenly distributed in the shim. A buckling structure is disposed between the upper cap and the lower cap. The bottle cap is advantageous in that it enables people to drink liquid in a bottle easily, has a simple structure, and is capable of preventing the liquid from leaking when the bottle falls down.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of Invention
  • The present invention relates to a bottle cap, and more particularly to a technology for improving existing bottle caps.
  • 2. Related Art
  • Currently, few bottle products with bottle caps having spouts are commercially available on the market, and existing similar products also have large defects. When drinking, people keep the spout on the bottle cap in mouth, and need to suck with a large force to drink the liquid in the bottle. For children or the elderly, since they do not have enough breathing capacity, it is difficult for them to drink. Therefore, the bottle cap is inconvenient for people to use. In addition, existing bottles with bottle caps having spouts also have another obvious disadvantage. That is, when the bottle falls down by accident, much of the liquid in the bottle leaks out and wets the places around the bottle. Moreover, the existing bottle caps also cannot satisfy the requirements of mass production due to their complicated structures and low production efficiencies.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Accordingly, the present invention is directed to a bottle cap, which enables people to drink liquid in a bottle easily, has a simple structure, and is capable of preventing the liquid from leaking when the bottle falls down.
  • The objective of the present invention is achieved by implementing the following technical solution.
  • A bottle cap includes an upper cap and a lower cap.
  • A functional gasket and a shim plate are disposed in a cavity of the lower cap. The functional gasket is tightly pressed and fixed in the cavity of the lower cap by the shim.
  • The functional gasket is ring-shaped. One quarter of semicircle is recessed at the ring. A notch is arranged at the ring of the functional gasket.
  • Round through-holes are evenly distributed in the shim.
  • A buckling structure is disposed between the upper cap and the lower cap.
  • The present invention has the following advantages as compared with the prior art.
  • When the liquid in the bottle is drunk, though the drinking spout on the bottle cap is kept in mouth, as the lower cap has the air vent, the pressure within the bottle is in communication with an atmosphere outside the bottle because of the air vent. Therefore, the vacuum within the bottle is broken, and people can easily drink the liquid in the bottle under the atmosphere. When the upper cap is buckled on the lower cap, the air vent is sealed by the cone-shaped protrusion on the upper cap, thereby preventing the liquid in the bottle from leakage. The upper cap and the lower cap can be buckled and fastened to each other by the snapping structure therebetween, so they will not disengage from each other automatically. The notch on the functional gasket is automatically closed under the pressure of the water when the bottle lies flat or falls down, thereby preventing the water in the bottle from leaking. The bottle cap of the present invention has a simple structure and a small number of components, is easy and convenient for installation, has high production efficiency, and is thus suitable for mass production.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below for illustration only, and thus are not limitative of the present invention, and wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a first schematic view of an assembled structure of a bottle cap of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 2 is a second schematic view of an assembled structure of a bottle cap of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The bottle cap of the present invention is described below in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a bottle cap of the present invention mainly includes an upper cap 1 and a lower cap 2. The lower cap has a spout 3 at a central position. An internal thread 4 is arranged in a cavity of the lower cap. The lower cap is screwed onto a bottle neck through the internal thread. An air vent 5 is arranged in the lower part at one side. The upper cap is fitted to the lower cap. The upper cap is buckled on the lower cap by a buckling structure 6. The upper cap is connected to the lower cap by a soft sheet. A cone-shaped protrusion 7 is disposed at a position corresponding to the air vent on the upper cap. When the upper cap is buckled on the lower cap, the air vent is sealed by the cone-shaped protrusion, thereby preventing the liquid in the bottle from flowing out from the air vent. The cavity of the lower cap further includes a functional gasket 8 and a shim 9 therein. The functional gasket is tightly pressed in the cavity of the lower cap by the shim. The functional gasket has a flange. A periphery of the functional gasket has a ring-shaped structure, in which one quarter of semicircle is recessed. A notch 10 is arranged at the ring. When the bottle lies flat or falls down, the notch is automatically closed under the pressure of the water, thereby preventing the liquid in the bottle from leaking. Round through-holes 11 are evenly distributed in a circumference of the shim. Outlets of the round through-holes are located at the recessed quarter of semicircle of the functional gasket. The bottle cap of present invention has a simple structure, is convenient for installation, has high production efficiency, and thus satisfies the requirements of mass production.
