Abstract

技术领域

背景技术
数据记录设备如数据磁带驱动器可以将信息记录到数据存储设备如盒式磁带的数据磁带，或者从其读取信息。盒式磁带典型地包括一对半盒体，它们围绕着一个磁带卷轴形成永久外壳或外罩。当使用时，卷轴可以在盒内绕其轴自由旋转以相对于数据磁带驱动器将磁带放出或绕入磁带盒。另外，卷轴在其轴向和径向上可以作限定范围的运动以适应与数据磁带驱动器的驱动元件的补偿和轻微未对准。因此，磁带卷轴在永久容纳它们的盒内具有三种自由度。

发明内容

具体实施方式
现在参照图1和2，介质存储设备如盒式磁带11具有带两个半盒体13a、13b的永久外罩或外壳13。外壳13装有介质磁带17的单个线轴或卷轴15。制动钮23的齿状部分21通过制动弹簧25的施加力啮合卷轴15。需要时，制动钮23锁到半盒体13b的凸起部位27以防止卷轴15的旋转。当制动钮23作用于卷轴15时，介质磁带17不会意外地松开或拉出，并且可以防止发生由于磁带松弛而造成的事故。
盒式磁带11被配置为载入到记录和回放设备如磁带驱动器(未示出)中。磁带驱动器啮合卷轴15的驱动齿状啮合部分31，以相对于外壳13旋转卷轴15。此时，制动钮23通过磁带驱动器从卷轴15松开。因此，介质磁带17可以通过与磁带驱动器相关联的驱动构件分别在前进或倒退的方向上从卷轴15放出外壳13或者绕回到卷轴15上。最好如图1所示，卷轴15的轴心33可以通过外壳13的圆形开口35接触。
现在参照图3，示出撞击或振动事件期间的数据盒式磁带11的简化侧剖视图。在该图中，图1和2的一些组件和零件未被示出，并且卷轴15的运动范围被大大夸大，以更好阐述本发明的用途。当盒式磁带11遭受如运送和搬运期间偶尔遇到的撞击或振动事件时，卷轴15和磁带17可能震到外壳13的内表面，这可能导致磁带17上的永久性读或写错误。
为降低盒式磁带11遭到该损坏的危险，提供一种如图4所示的类似橡胶圆盘的小型装置41，用于防止卷轴15与外壳13之间的相对运动。在优选实施例中，装置41具有低轮廓并且形状一般为圆柱形。装置41可以由各种适配材料包括泡沫形成。装置41的一个或多个表面可以具有与卷轴15的驱动齿状啮合部分31套合且互补的可选凹槽或齿牙43。
如图5所示，装置41插入到盒式磁带11的外壳13上的开口35内以施加力于卷轴15。开口35紧密地容纳装置41。形成装置41的材料的适配特性通过干涉配合或其他方式保持在开口35内。在所示型式中，装置41啮合驱动齿状啮合部分31，并且将卷轴15推靠在外壳13的内表面。在该结构中，防止卷轴15相对于外壳13的轴向、径向和旋转运动。因此，由于装置41而隔绝卷轴15在三种自由度上的运动。装置41也可以被配置为隔绝卷轴15在更多或更少自由度上的运动。在本实施例中，装置41的一部分突出在外壳13的外面，从而可以同轴堆叠多个盒式磁带11，如虚线所示，以隔绝各个盒式磁带11之间的运动。当各个数据盒式磁带11准备进行操作使用时，解开这些盒式磁带，并且移去它们各自的装置41以允许盒式磁带进行操作使用。
本发明具有若干优点，包括能够隔绝介质磁带的盒式磁带卷轴在所在永久外壳内发生过度的运动。本发明的装置防止卷轴与外壳之间的三种自由度上的运动，包括轴向、旋转和径向运动。而且，当多个盒式磁带以堆叠、同轴的结构排列时，可以使用该相同装置来隔绝它们之间的运动。该装置降低当盒式磁带未用时在运送和/或搬运期间介质特别是介质边缘遭到损坏的危险。
尽管本发明只是以某些形式来示出或描述的，但本领域的技术人员应该清楚，它不限于此，而是可以在不脱离本发明的范围的情况下进行各种修改。例如，本发明也适用于光带。

Claims (10)

1.一种数据盒式磁带(11)，包括：
外壳(13)；
介质磁带(17)的卷轴(15)，位于外壳内；以及
装置(41)，具有用于啮合卷轴上的互补槽纹的槽纹(43)，插入在外壳与卷轴之间，用于隔绝卷轴相对于外壳的运动，从而防止介质磁带在非操作使用中搬运数据盒式磁带期间遭到损坏；
其中，所述外壳具有用于紧密容纳所述装置的开口。
2.如权利要求1所述的数据盒式磁带，其中，所述装置由适配材料形成。
3.如权利要求1所述的数据盒式磁带，其中，所述装置的形状为橡胶圆盘状的圆柱形。
4.如权利要求1所述的数据盒式磁带，其中，所述装置突出在外壳之外以帮助隔绝数据盒式磁带在多个数据盒式磁带堆栈中的运动。
5.如任一前面权利要求所述的数据盒式磁带，其中，所述装置隔绝卷轴相对于外壳的三种自由度上的运动。
6.如权利要求5所述的数据盒式磁带，其中，三种自由度包括卷轴相对于外壳的轴向、旋转和径向运动。
7.一种用于插入到数据盒式磁带的外壳(13)上的开口(35)内的装置(41)，数据盒式磁带还包括位于外壳内的介质磁带卷轴(18)，当插入到开口内时，该装置隔绝卷轴相对于外壳的运动，从而防止介质磁带在未用时搬运数据盒式磁带期间遭到损坏，其中，所述装置具有用于啮合卷轴上的互补槽纹的槽纹，并且该装置的大小为使其紧密地装配在开口内。
8.如权利要求7所述的装置，由适配材料形成。
9.如权利要求7所述的装置，形状为橡胶圆盘状的圆柱形。
10.如权利要求7至9中的任一项所述的装置，其大小为当插入到开口内时，从外壳突出，从而帮助隔绝数据盒式磁带与一起堆叠的第二数据盒式磁带之间的运动。
