Description
技术领域
本发明整体上涉及对用于玻璃和塑料容器上的封盖的改进,具体而言,本发明涉及一种设置有经注塑成形的改进型环形垫圈的封盖及其制造方法。因此,本发明的一个重要方面在于涉及一种设置有一体或整体式封盖外壳(cap shell)的封盖,而该封盖外壳又是由聚烯烃制成的,例如由聚丙烯制成,其中一个均匀性更好、精确度更高、连续性更好的环形垫圈由可模压的树脂例如热塑性弹性体通过镶嵌模压工序(insertmolding procedure)经注塑模压到封盖壳体的内表面上。
背景技术
在本领域内,设置有整体式圆盘的封盖已经是公知的技术,而且圆盘可由压制或注塑工艺制成。例如,美国专利4398874公开了一种用于在封盖外壳内形成一个整体式圆盘衬层的模压工具,这种工具包括一个中央冲头或模压部件和一个设置于模压部件外部的外壳定位套管,其中模压部件容纳在封盖外壳内。设置于外壳内的衬层材料与冲头相接触并形成一个封盖外壳的整体式圆盘衬垫。相应地,美国专利4803031公开了一种封盖及其制造方法,在该方法中,首先通过注塑法制成整体式的圆盘衬垫,然后围绕已成形的衬垫模压制成封盖外壳。这种整体式圆盘形封盖能够在容器上提供基本满意的密封结构,其特征在于:由于使用了较大数量的垫圈成形树脂而增加了制造成本,而且,由于封盖外壳的整个内表面被完全覆盖,因此增加了垫圈成分进入密封在容器中的产品(尤其是食品)中的可能性,而且还使封盖外壳的内表面不能显示标签或其它传递信息的标记。
美国专利5685443公开了一种合成的封盖,形成顶部密封和侧面密封的环形垫圈通过注塑被模压到金属圆盘上,接着,围绕该圆盘模压一个塑性裙围并使圆盘卡在该裙围内。这种采用经注模制成的环形垫圈的合成封盖需要设置一个单独的圆盘,这样就增加了封盖的制造成本,而且也增加了制造的复杂程度。
发明内容
本发明通过提供一种新式封盖来克服现有技术中存在的缺陷,这种新式封盖采用了塑料或金属的封盖外壳和一个经注塑制成的环形垫圈,其中封盖外壳之内表面的中央部分上没有垫圈材料。
根据本发明的一个重要方面提供一种改进的封盖,这种封盖包括一个整体式或一体式的塑料或金属外壳和一个环形垫圈,该环形垫圈上一体形成有多个沿径向向里延伸的凸舌,其中的一个凸舌形成于将塑性熔体进送到模具型芯内的环形垫圈成形沟槽内的位置上,而其它凸舌设置于从所述沟槽排出塑性熔体的位置上。根据本发明的一个最佳实施例,后面所述的那些凸舌包括一个冷料孔(cold well),该冷料孔通过一条通道与环形垫圈的成形沟槽联通,而这条通道的横截面小于垫圈成形沟槽和冷却孔的横截面。
因此,本发明的一个目的在于提供一种设置有经注塑制成的环形垫圈的改进封盖及这种改进封盖的制造方法。
本发明的另一目的在于提供一种设置有一个一体的塑料外壳或金属外壳和一个经注塑形成的顶部环形密封垫圈的封盖,这种封盖使用了少量的可模压垫圈成形材料,而且能够对安装有封盖的容器端部进行有效密封。
本发明的又一目的在于提供一种经注塑成形的环形垫圈,该垫圈通过镶嵌模压法模压到一个一体的封盖外壳上,而且该封盖外壳的垫圈均匀性更好,连续性更高,该垫圈沿其周边在与熔体进送到垫圈成形沟槽内和熔体流出该沟槽的相应位置上设置有沿径向延伸的一体式凸舌。
现结合附图,通过下述的详细说明,将会清楚体现本发明的目的,其中在附图中,相同的附图标记表示相同的部件。

具体实施方式
参照附图,具体参照图1至4,本发明的封盖整体上由附图标记20表示。如图所示,封盖20被应用到容器21上并包括一个具有一内表面或底面23的端板22和一个裙缘24,而裙缘24又终止于一个径向尺寸变大的圆筒形部分25。如图1、3和4所示,在图示的实施例中,底部的圆筒形部分25通过多个易折断的接桥与护持指示带26相连接,而护持指示带26又包括一个上条带部分27和一个下条带部分28,这两个部分通过一柔性铰链29连接在一起。封盖20在裙缘24的内表面上设置有螺纹31,但应该知道:在本发明的范围内,还可以采用其它能够与容器相接合的固定部件,例如传统的凸片等。因此,该封盖可设置有其它形式的护持指示带,而且如果需要,还可不设置任何指示带。
根据本发明的一个重要方面,封盖20包括一个经注塑形成的环形垫圈32,其设置于内表面或底面23的外周边上并用来与容器的端口或顶部边缘33形成顶部密封接合,而容器的端口或顶部边缘限定了容器的开口34。如图1所示,容器21包括一个螺纹35,该螺纹的尺寸能够与封盖20上的螺纹相互接合,而且容器21还包括一个定位卷边36,用于以公知的方式与下部护持指示带的底缘相接合。
经注塑形成的环形垫圈32设置有一个沿径向向里延伸的整体式凸舌37(即,第一凸舌)、一个冷料孔凸舌(即,第二凸舌),第二凸舌包括第一部分39和第二部分38,凸舌的与环形垫圈内边缘相邻的第一部分39相比第二部分38具有较小的横截面。凸舌37设置于在注塑过程中将熔体进料进送到模压空腔内的位置上,而第一部分38和第二部分39也与垫圈32一体制成,而且与熔体从制造垫圈的模具空腔内排出的位置相对应。下面将结合模具装置对这些凸舌的制作方式加以详细说明。
根据本发明上述实施例的另一方面,垫圈32的顶面40设置有多个V形肋,这些V形肋能够提高与封口的密封接触。应该注意:通过注塑形成的这些V形肋比通过其它制造工艺例如压模法制成的肋具有更好的精确度。但是,应该知道:如果需要,垫圈32的顶面40可以是平面状或具有其它结构的形状。
根据本发明,封盖20由合适的可模压聚烯烃制成,例如聚丙烯及其同聚物和共聚物。但是,应该知道:也可以采用其它合适的可模压塑性树脂来制造封盖。或者,如果需要,本发明的注塑环形垫圈还可安装到金属封盖上。环形垫圈32也可由任何能够与容器端口形成所需密封条件的弹性或弹性体材料制成,但是不含氯乙烯的树脂或非PVC材料是最佳的材料。如果需要,还可在垫圈成分内加入合适的添加剂,例如能够提高抗氧化性和/或去氧性的添加剂,以及那些可方便释放扭矩的添加剂。
非PVC材料包括以连续的相分布在聚烯烃基体内的弹性块状共聚物,而且可模压的热塑性弹性体最佳,因为其具有许多加工优点。可以有效使用的垫圈成分包括那些由选自下列组分的热塑性弹性体材料构成的材料:基于苯乙烯和丁二烯的可模制饱和ABA型块状共聚物,例如苯乙烯-乙烯-丁烯的苯乙烯(SEBS)型块状共聚物,其含有约20%至约40%的苯乙烯和约60%至80%的乙烯-丁烯共聚单体,最佳的热塑性弹性体还包括EPDM(乙烯-丙烯-二聚环戊二烯)弹性体,以及其它合适的热塑性弹性体。
用于制造本发明的封盖的合适装置整体上如图5至12所示。图5至9示意性地示出了一个模压装置,该模压装置包括一个进料系统,其用于将预先成形的封盖外壳运送到模压站,而在该模压站,通过镶嵌模压工艺制成经注塑成形的垫圈。应该知道:尽管在本文中对一种用于将封盖外壳运送至模压装置内并用于使封盖外壳从该装置内通过和送出的特定运输机构作出了说明,但是如果需要,还可采用其它运送装置,例如传送带和/或自动式封盖运送装置。但是,所有的模压装置的共同特征在于精密的镶嵌模压装置,环形垫圈能够通过精密的模压装置被制造成形,而且没有内部气泡。
如图5所示,模压装置包括一个活动压板45和一个包括有一型芯部分47的固定压板46。活动压板45包括一个输送驱动器48、一个输送转盘49、一个脱模板50和进料槽51,下面将结合图6和图7对其做更加全面的说明。如图5所示的型芯部分47包括单独的模芯52和53。熔体从喷射单元54进送到型芯部分47内,喷射单元54将熔体进送到总管部分56内,接着,总管部分56通过管路57和58运送高压熔体原料。
如图7所示,活动压板45包括一个整体上由附图标记60表示的星形轮,该星形轮设置有十个封盖容纳槽,每个容纳槽都由附图标记61表示。如图所示,封盖从进料槽51进送到每个单独的凹槽61内,直到星形轮被完全装满。模具型芯部分47上的各个模具型芯分别容纳在每个封盖外壳内。当垫圈的制造工艺完成后,模具被打开,并通过卸料槽63从活动压板内放出完整的封盖。如果需要,还可使用高压空气,以利于将封盖外壳装入星形轮传送机构内以及将封盖外壳从其中取出。就这点而言,应该知道:设置在星形轮内的封盖容纳槽的数量是可变的。例如,在图7所示的结构中,示出了十个封盖容纳槽,而在图6中仅示出了八个这样的凹槽。
参照图6,从图中可看到:芯板64与活动压板46间隔一定的距离。从图8和9中可以清楚看到:与活动压板45相对的芯板64部分包括多个定位柱(standoff post)(在图8中由附图标记65表示),该定位柱控制着各个模具型芯穿过每个封盖壳体的深度。
参照图8至12,每个模具型芯(由附图标记52表示)的尺寸都被加工成能够容纳在封盖外壳内的结构形式,以与给定封盖的端板22之内表面或底面23直接接触。由总管56和熔体进料管路57进送的熔体通过一个浇口66喷射到熔体进料管路68并从该进料管路68喷射到环形沟槽67内,而环形沟槽67又与封盖的内表面或底面23一起形成了一个限定垫圈的模压空腔。一般情况下,对于塑料封盖外壳而言,模具的型芯将以有限和受控的程度穿过端面,而对于金属封盖外壳而言,无需使型芯穿过端面,目的是有效切断熔体的流动,从而将熔体密封在限定垫圈的模具空腔内。熔体流从入口68顺时针和逆时针流过沟槽67并通过一个连接通道74喷射到型芯的一个冷料孔部分73内。根据本发明的一个重要方面,该连接通道74的横截面较小,以保证熔体流在该位置上紧密接合,此外,还消除或至少在很大程度上减小了空气夹带在垫圈内的可能性。这种尺寸较小的通道使冷料孔的内部压力低于环形垫圈成形部分67内的压力,从而使存在于熔体内的空气立刻排放到冷料孔内。
如图所示,可设置一个能够对该装置抽真空的通风管路71,以在熔体的进料过程中进一步除掉空气。如图所示,还可设置一个空气管路72,以在垫圈的注塑工艺完成而且模具被打开后,利于取出最终的封盖。如果需要,可同时连接通风管路71和空气管路72,从而当模压操作完成时,更加易于取出最终的封盖。
在注塑过程中产生的热量可通过水冷却系统散发出去,这一点可通过使一个出口水管70与一入口水管(未示出)流体联通来实现。
如图11和12所示,环形沟槽67的底面75设置有多个V形槽,这些V形槽形成了多个同心的V形肋,这些V形肋有助于与封盖端口形成密封接触。如前所述,通过注塑工艺形成的这些V形肋比通过其它模压工艺形成的V形肋具有更好的精确度。
图13以经过变形的封盖80之形式从整体上示出了本发明的另一实施例,该封盖80设置有一层金属箔或其它合适的材料层,这层材料被连接到端板22的内表面23上,而且与经注塑形成的环形垫圈相连接。这种结构尤其适用于对耐氧性的要求更高和/或需要在封盖的内部提供可视显示信息的应用场合下。同样,经注塑制成的环形垫圈尤其适用于这些场合,因为在这种垫圈内,其面板的中央部分是露出的,这样就能够用这些区域显示印刷信息等。
图14至18示出了用于制造这种封盖外壳的一个工序。如图14所示,一种模压装置,其包括一个上部模具部分83、一个下部模具部分86和一个型芯87,而上部模具部分83设置有一个熔体进料管路84和浇口85。一薄板或条带状金属薄片或其它能够层压到封盖外壳之内表面23上的合适材料定位在上部和下部模具部分83、86之间。如图15所示,这些模具部分处于闭合状态下,以将条带82夹紧并固定到位。
接着,将型芯87设置在与条带82直接接触的下部模具部分86内并形成了一个模具空腔88,该模具空腔的结构与将被制成的封盖之结构相对应。接着,将熔体原料89进送到空腔内,如图17所示,从而形成了封盖部分90,同时,由于熔体原料的高压破坏了薄片条带的边缘部分,而且熔体原料继续流动,如图18所示,从而形成了最终的封盖外壳。接下来,模具的各个部分被打开,并从模具中取出已经成形的封盖。尽管已结合各个实施例对本发明作出了说明,但是,本领域的技术人员应该清楚:在本发明的构思范围内,可对其作出多种变型和修改。因此,本发明仅由所附权利要求书来限定。
Claims (17)
1、一种封盖,其包括:
一个外壳,该外壳包括一个端板和一个从端板向下延伸的一体裙缘,所述端板设置有一个具有给定外径的圆形内表面;
一个经注塑制成的环形垫圈,该垫圈设置有一环形主体,该主体包括一个外边缘和一个内边缘,所述外边缘的直径小于所述端板内表面的外径,从而使所述垫圈主体的外边缘与所述端板内表面的外周边沿向里的方向隔开,以形成一个没有垫圈的环形边框,该环形边框包围所述环形的垫圈主体,所述垫圈的宽度足以与安装有所述封盖的容器口之端部形成顶部密封,所述环形垫圈主体的内边缘包围所述端板内表面上一个没有垫圈的内部部分,所述垫圈还包括一个与垫圈制成一体的第一凸舌和一个与垫圈制成一体的第二凸舌,所述第一和第二凸舌从所述环形垫圈的内边缘向里延伸,所述第二凸舌包括一个与所述内边缘相邻的第一部分和一个与所述第一部分制成一体并从所述第一部分向里延伸的第二部分,所述第二部分相对所述第一部分具有一个相对较大的横截面。
2、根据权利要求1的封盖,其中:所述第一和第二凸舌沿所述环形垫圈主体的周边设置于相对的位置上。
3、根据权利要求1的封盖,其中:所述环形垫圈主体包括一个由多个同心肋限定的构成顶部密封的表面。
4、根据权利要求1的封盖,其中:所述垫圈由不含氯乙烯的可模压树脂制成。
5、根据权利要求1的封盖,其中:所述垫圈由热塑性弹性体制成。
6、根据权利要求1的封盖,其中:所述外壳由可模压的热塑性树脂制成。
7、根据权利要求6的封盖,其中:所述热塑性树脂为一种聚烯烃。
8、根据权利要求7的封盖,其中:所述热塑性树脂为聚丙烯。
9、根据权利要求6的封盖,其中:所述外壳的端板设有一层隔氧薄膜。
10、根据权利要求9的封盖,其中:所述隔氧薄膜粘接在所述端板的内表面上。
11、根据权利要求1的封盖,其中:所述外壳由金属制成。
12、一种用于制造封盖的方法,所述封盖具有经注塑形成的环形垫圈,所述方法包括:
提供一个注模,该注模具有可在一打开位置和一闭合位置之间相对移动的第一和第二模具部分,所述第一模具部分具有一封盖外壳的容纳部分,所述第二模具部分包括一个型芯;
将所述第一和第二模具部分放置在打开位置上;
插入一个预制的封盖外壳,该外壳包括一个具有给定直径的圆形端板、一个圆形内表面和一个围绕该圆形内表面的一体裙缘;
使所述模具闭合,以将所述型芯定位在封盖外壳内,所述型芯上的一个工作表面与所述封盖外壳之端板的内表面相接触,所述型芯的工作表面内具有一由外周边和内周边限定而成的环形沟槽,所述沟槽与所述封盖外壳的内表面一起构成了用于制造垫圈的模具空腔,所述型芯工作表面包括沿周边间隔分布并向里延伸的熔体入口沟槽和出口沟槽,所述入口沟槽和出口沟槽与所述环形沟槽流体联通,所述出口沟槽包括一个降压限流部分,所述环形沟槽的内周边和外周边与所述封盖外壳的内表面在所述模具处于闭合位置上时密封接合,从而与其一起形成熔体流的关闭隔板;
将高压熔体流进送到所述熔体入口沟槽内,以使熔体流过所述垫圈的成形空腔;
继续进送高压熔体流,直到所述熔体流的前部容纳在所述出口沟槽内,并在所述空腔内形成一个完整的垫圈;
打开所述模具并将所述封盖外壳与形成于封盖外壳上并经注塑制成的垫圈一起取出。
13、根据权利要求12的方法,其中:所述出口沟槽包括一个冷料孔,该冷料孔通过一条横截面小于所述环形沟槽和冷料孔之横截面的通道与所述环形沟槽联通。
14、根据权利要求12的方法,其中:所述环形沟槽具有一个由多个同心圆环限定而成的底面,以通过多个形状尖锐的同心肋在注塑垫圈内形成一个构成顶部密封的表面。
15、根据权利要求14的方法,其中:所述同心圆环具有V形横截面,而V形横截面在模压垫圈的密封形成表面内的相应的同心肋上形成一个锥形的横截面。
16、根据权利要求12的方法,其中:所述入口沟槽和出口沟槽沿所述环形沟槽的内周边设置于彼此相对的位置上。
17、根据权利要求12的方法,其中:所述封盖外壳由可模压的热塑性树脂制成,所述沟槽的内边缘和外边缘穿过所述封盖外壳的内表面,以形成所述的熔体切断隔板。
