技术领域
本发明涉及在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的系统和方法。
背景技术
在此提供的背景说明是为了总体上介绍本发明背景的目的。当前所署名发明人的工作(在背景技术部分描述的程度上)和本描述中否则不足以作为申请时的现有技术的各方面,既不明显地也非隐含地被承认为与本发明相抵触的现有技术。
内燃发动机在气缸内燃烧空气和燃料混合物以驱动活塞,从而产生驱动扭矩。进入发动机的空气流量经由节气门调节。更具体地,节气门调节节气门面积,其增加或减少进入发动机的空气流量。当节气门面积增加时,进入发动机的空气流量增加。燃料控制系统调节燃料喷射的速率,以给气缸提供期望空气/燃料混合物和/或实现期望扭矩输出。增加提供给气缸的空气和燃料量增加发动机的扭矩输出。

具体实施方式
当气缸停用系统停用发动机的气缸时,发动机的点火序列可以以随机或周期性的方式调节,以实现期望数量的停用气缸和/或改变哪些气缸停用。点火序列可以与车辆的噪音和振动性能无关地调节。因而,驾驶员可感知噪音和振动的增加,且可能限制气缸停用系统的应用。
根据本发明原理的控制系统和方法在发动机气缸停用时优化发动机的点火序列以达到扭矩输出、燃料经济性和振动之间的平衡。振动响应针对实现期望数量的停用气缸的多个点火序列选项预测。点火序列选项中的一个基于点火序列选项的预测振动响应来选择。
通过预测与点火序列中的气缸有关的扭矩脉冲的振动模态响应,确定模态响应的定时,且将这些模态响应求和,可预测由点火序列引起的振动响应。扭矩脉冲可以针对点火序列中的点火气缸和不点火气缸估计。每个扭矩脉冲可对应于预定数量(例如,2个)曲轴转数。每个扭矩脉冲的多个(例如,5个)振动模式的响应可基于车辆的模态特征来预测,包括其模态频率和阻尼比率,可预先确定且存储在表中。
振动模式通过其模态频率和模态形状或方向(例如,弯曲,扭转)来表征。在车辆上的每个位置,每个方向的振动幅度与模态响应成正比。因而,每个方向的振动幅度可通过将模态响应乘以倍数(对每个方向可以是唯一的)来确定。车辆上给定位置和给定方向的总振动可以通过将每个模式的贡献求和来预测。
未来点火序列的模态响应可受先前点火序列的模态响应影响。因而,先前点火序列的模态响应可以求和以产生当前模态响应,未来点火序列的预测模态响应可与当前模态响应相加,以产生总振动响应。每个点火序列选项的总振动响应可以表示为单个值,例如最大峰至峰值,可用于选择点火序列选项中的一个。
如上所述,基于模态来预测车辆的振动响应减少预测每个点火序列选项的振动响应所需的计算次数。继而,使用相同量的处理能力可增加在给定时段内评估的点火序列选项的数量。增加评估的点火序列选项的数量可改进车辆的振动性能。
现在参考图1,发动机系统100包括发动机102,发动机102燃烧空气/燃料混合物以产生用于车辆的驱动扭矩。由发动机102产生的驱动扭矩量基于来自于驾驶员输入模块104的驾驶员输入。空气通过进气系统108被吸入发动机102。进气系统108包括进气歧管110和节气门阀112。节气门阀112可包括具有可旋转叶片的蝶形阀。发动机控制模块(ECM)114控制节气门致动器模块116,节气门致动器模块116调整节气门阀112的开度来控制抽吸到进气歧管110中的空气量。
空气从进气歧管110被抽吸到发动机102的气缸中。为了说明目的,示出了单个的具有代表性的气缸118。然而,发动机102可包括多个气缸。例如,发动机102 可能包括2、3、4、5、6、8、10和/或12个气缸。ECM 114在某些发动机操作条件下可停用一个或多个气缸,这可改善燃料经济性。
发动机102可使用四冲程循环操作。四个冲程包括进气冲程、压缩冲程、燃烧冲程和排气冲程。在曲轴(未示出)每一转期间,在气缸118内发生四个冲程中的两个。因而,气缸118需要两个曲轴转数来经历所有四个冲程。
在进气冲程期间,空气从进气歧管110通过进气阀122抽吸到气缸118中。ECM 114控制燃料致动器模块124,燃料致动器模块124调节燃料喷射器125,以控制提供给气缸的燃料量,以实现期望的空气/燃料比。燃料射器125可以直接喷射燃料到气缸118中或者喷射燃料到与气缸118有关的混合腔中。燃料致动器模块124可以中止向要停用的气缸喷射燃料。
喷射的燃料与空气混合且在气缸118中形成空气/燃料混合物。在压缩冲程期间,气缸118中的活塞(未显示出)压缩空气/燃料混合物。发动机102可以是压缩点火发动机,在该情况下气缸118中的压缩点火空气/燃料混合物。可选地,发动机102可以是火花点火发动机,在该情况下,基于来自ECM 114的信号,火花致动器模块126激励气缸118中的火花塞128。火花点火空气/燃料混合物。火花的定时可相对于活塞处于其最上位置时的时间(称为上止点(TDC))来规定。

产生火花可以称为点火事件。点火事件在空气/燃料混合物提供给气缸时(例如,在气缸有效时)引起气缸内的燃烧。火花致动器模块126可具有针对每个点火事件改变火花定时的能力。火花致动器模块126可甚至能够在火花定时信号在上一次点火事件和下一次点火事件之间变化时改变下一次点火事件的火花定时。在各个实施方式中,发动机102可包括多个气缸,且火花致动器模块126可对于发动机102的所有气缸将火花定时相对于TDC改变相同量。
在燃烧冲程期间,空气/燃料混合物的燃烧驱动活塞向下运动,从而驱动曲轴。当空气/燃料混合物的燃烧驱动活塞向下运动时,活塞从TDC移动到其最下位置(称为下止点(BDC))。
在排气冲程期间,活塞开始从BDC向上移动并且通过排气阀130排出燃烧副产物。燃烧副产物通过排气系统134从车辆中排出。
进气阀122可被进气凸轮轴140所控制,而排气阀130可被排气凸轮轴142所控制。在各种实施方式中,多个进气凸轮轴(包括进气凸轮轴140)可以控制气缸118的多个进气阀(包括进气阀122)和/或可以控制多组气缸(包括气缸118)的进气阀(包括进气阀122)。类似地,多个排气凸轮轴(包括排气凸轮轴142)可以控制气缸118的多个排气阀和/或可以控制多组气缸(包括气缸118)的排气阀(包括排气阀130)。
进气阀122打开的时间可由进气凸轮移相器148相对于活塞TDC变化。排气阀130打开的时间可由排气凸轮移相器150相对于活塞TDC变化。ECM 114可禁止打开被停用气缸的进气阀122和排气阀130。移相器致动器模块158可根据来自ECM 114的信号控制进气凸轮移相器148和排气凸轮移相器150。在实施时,各种阀升程(未示出)还可以由移相器致动器模块158控制。

进气歧管110中的压力可以使用歧管绝对压力(MAP)传感器184测量。在各种实施方式中,发动机真空度可以被测量,发动机真空度是环境空气压力和进气歧管110中压力之间的差。流入进气歧管110的空气质量流率可以使用空气质量流量(MAF)传感器186测量。在各种实施方式中,MAF传感器186可以位于还包括节气门阀112的壳体内。

由于模态响应在时间上可能重叠,未来点火序列的模态响应可受先前点火序列的模态响应影响。因而,振动预测模块212可将先前点火序列的模态响应求和以产生当前模态响应,且将未来点火序列的模态响应与当前模态响应相加,以产生总模态响应。
模态响应可以由其幅度和相位表征,其可以由每个振动周期旋转一次的复数矢量来表示。模态响应的幅度根据其阻尼比率衰减。因而,一旦当前模态响应的幅度和相位已知,当前模态响应衰减的方式可以基于其相位进程和幅度衰减来预测。相位进程和幅度衰减可基于车辆的模态特征来确定。
总振动模态响应可以根据单个值表示。例如,总振动模态响应可以表示为总振动模态响应的最大峰至峰值。附加地或可选地,总振动模态响应可以表示为总振动模态响应与预定振动模态响应的比值。可以使用各种其它振动标准来量化总振动模态响应。振动预测模块212可输出点火序列选项和对应总振动响应。
振动预测模块212可预测点火序列选项的振动响应且点火序列模块208可在第一时间选择点火序列选项中的一个。第一时间和与气缸事件开始相对应的第二时间之间的第一时段可以调节,以允许ECM 114根据所选择点火序列选项来起用或停用气缸。例如,第一时段可基于停用进气阀122和排气阀130所需的时间量来调节。

一旦获得点火和不点火扭矩脉冲的模态响应,可以计算来自于时间上隔开的一系列扭矩脉冲的模态响应。例如,在均匀点火四冲程V8中,扭矩脉冲隔开曲轴角的90度间隔或者在1200 RPM时0.0125秒。

V8发动机具有1-1-0-1-1-1-0-1-1-0-1-1-0的点火模式,其中,“1”表示点火,“0”表示不点火。模式是随机的,平均每2转8个气缸中的5.54个点火。扭矩脉冲在0和0.250秒之间的5个曲轴转数期间发生。在该时段期间,模态响应702积聚到高度调制的振动,峰值幅度在0.05和0.15秒。该振动水平比均匀点火V8产生的更大且更不规则。在708,扭矩脉冲结束且模态响应702开始以形成自由响应710的指数衰减正弦衰减为零。

现在参考图8,模态响应702的复数表示以802示出。在噪音和振动分析中,振荡运动的幅度和相位通常以复数形式表示,而不是直接以正弦表示。这允许许多正弦响应轨迹(例如,来自于许多扭矩脉冲)简单相加,而不用使用三角函数明确地。

在扭矩脉冲结束之后,模态响应立即开始朝向图中心(0,0)成螺旋状。螺旋状的实数分量是指数衰减正弦,如图7所示,在强制响应912和自由响应914之间过渡时,轨迹中存在可见的扭结。
在任何时刻,瞬时复数幅度可以表示为矢量。模态矢量904表示给定时间的响应且可以表示为“0.64 + i 1.42”或者“在角度65.7度时幅度1.56”。图9详细地示出了模态幅度。然而,模态幅度可以以均匀隔开的间隔跟踪,例如90度曲轴旋转。

图10示出了预测由于曲轴角的一致步级的每个扭矩脉冲引起的模态幅度的变化的方法。改变间隔步级可产生步级之间的模态幅度的不同变化。例如,从90度切换到30度可产生幅度的较小步级。然而,两个曲轴转数的最终影响可仍相同。所选择步级之间的曲轴角间隔可以足够小,以合适地描述重要模式的活动(例如,以寻找峰值且避免混叠)。
一旦完成扭矩脉冲,扭矩脉冲引起的模态幅度的部分成指数衰减。因而,如果显示,步级9处的幅度将相对于步级8的幅度逆时针旋转58.4度,且具有稍微更小的大小。随着更多的时间经过,模态幅度将由图9所示的指数螺旋状衰减的更粗略形式表示。
现在参考图11,在扭矩脉冲完成后13 Hz模式的指数衰减以90度曲轴间隔示出。模态矢量在(1,0)开始。每个步级的模态矢量标记为η 1, η 2…,且通过箭头示出。前述讨论提供评估在扭矩脉冲施加时和在扭矩脉冲施加之后扭矩脉冲对模式的影响的方法。
(下文的)表1示出了在扭矩脉冲有效时类似于10的13 Hz模式的复数幅度(实数和虚数部分)的变化。然而,不是跟踪扭矩脉冲的累积影响,列出了扭矩脉冲之间的各个变化。

最后脉冲(脉冲1220)在曲轴角0度时发生,但是其影响在曲轴角90度时第一个看到,且其强制影响持续,直到曲轴角720度。先前脉冲(脉冲1206至1218)仅仅具有其左边的激励部分。每隔一个扭矩脉冲的对应影响加阴影线。每个脉冲从先前脉冲时间上偏移90度,每个气缸间隔。所有气缸点火,但是脉冲1220是该“基准线”振动预测中认为的最后脉冲。“基准线”响应是预测响应,仅仅包括一直到该点时被选择点火/不点火的气缸。
两个因素确定每个90度步级的模态幅度:1)强制函数(每个扭矩脉冲)引起的模态幅度的变化;和2)先前步级的累积模态幅度,在根据模态频率相位旋转且根据阻尼比率衰减之后。第一因素(强制)是第三至最后一行(行1222)。其是对应列中扭矩脉冲的所有影响的总和。第二因素(衰减)是第二至最后一行(行1224)。其是在应用合适相位和阻尼的情况下来自于先前步级的模态幅度(行1226)。在每个步级,强制和衰减响应(第二和第三至最后一行-行1222和1224)的实数和虚数部分相加以产生模态幅度(最后一行-行1226)。
该基准线响应可以与来自于未来气缸事件序列的响应相加,且取决于所选择模式,结果可以是增加或减少的模态幅度。在扭矩脉冲的强制响应之后,基准线响应简单地为累积响应的指数衰减。图12的表中步级9中的幅度是来自于步级8的幅度,旋转且衰减。这对于每个步级(在该示例中,每90度)重复,直到适应优化例程所需。要注意的是,由于各个模式的简单衰减运动,基准线响应中模式的未来幅度根据步级8中的响应已知。不需要与先前点火有关的其它信息来预测未来基准线响应。这与使用标准卷积(具有复杂得多的脉冲响应)不同。
图13绘出了图12的表中的基准线响应的模态矢量的幅度,但是执行15个步级而不是9个。模态矢量的幅度以1302表示,且相对于表示步级数的x轴1304和表示幅度的y轴1306绘出。幅度在强制(以1308表示)期间显著地振荡,在结束时(步级8)稍微更小。随后是平滑衰减,以1310表示。
一旦找到模式的基准线响应,模态幅度基于扭矩需求等对于此时考虑的多个不同点火模式预测。为了预测模态幅度,每个点火模式引起的引发响应可以与上述基准线响应相加。这可以包括获得所示的基准线响应表,且产生所考虑的每个点火序列的附加表。该过程可以对每个模式进行,每个具有其自身的频率和阻尼。
图14示出了来自于两个可能随后点火序列(以1402和1404表示)的结果,每个与图13的基准线响应相加。点火序列1402,1404相对于表示步级数的x轴1406和表示幅度的y轴1408绘出。每个随后模式以11种可能点火方式点火6次。点火序列1402具有点火模式0-1-1-0-1-0-1-0-1-1-0,点火序列1404具有点火模式0-1-0-1-1-0-1-0-1-1-0,其中,“1”表示点火,“0”表示不点火。虽然点火序列1402,1404的幅度一直到步级4实际上相同,但是在步级5之后,点火序列1402,1404的幅度变化非常不同。

Claims (20)
1.一种在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的系统,包括:
振动预测模块,所述振动预测模块在发动机气缸停用时基于发动机的点火序列以及车辆的模态特性来预测车辆的模态响应;和
点火序列模块,所述点火序列模块基于车辆的预测模态响应来调节发动机的点火序列。
2.根据权利要求1所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的系统,其中,所述振动预测模块基于点火序列中的点火气缸和不点火气缸的扭矩脉冲来预测模态响应。
3.根据权利要求2所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的系统,其中,所述振动预测模块:
预测每个扭矩脉冲的模态响应;
确定每个扭矩脉冲的模态响应的定时;以及
将时间上重叠的模态响应部分求和,以产生点火序列的模态响应。

8.根据权利要求7所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的系统,其中,所述振动预测模块通过将所有振动模式的对应振动幅度相加来确定每个方向的总振动。
9.根据权利要求1所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的系统,其中:
所述振动预测模块预测与多个点火序列选项相对应的车辆模态响应;以及
所述点火序列模块基于车辆的预测模态响应来选择点火序列选项中的一个。
10.根据权利要求9所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的系统,其中,所述振动预测模块:
确定先前点火序列的第一模态响应 ;
预测每个点火序列选项的第二模态响应;
基于第一模态响应和对应第二模态响应来确定每个点火序列选项的总模态响应;以及
基于总模态响应来选择点火序列选项中的一个。
11.一种在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,包括:
在发动机气缸停用时基于发动机的点火序列以及车辆的模态特性来预测车辆的模态响应;和
基于车辆的预测模态响应来调节发动机的点火序列。
12.根据权利要求11所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:基于点火序列中的点火气缸和不点火气缸的扭矩脉冲来预测模态响应。
13.根据权利要求12所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:
预测每个扭矩脉冲的模态响应;
确定每个扭矩脉冲的模态响应的定时;以及
将时间上重叠的模态响应部分求和,以产生点火序列的模态响应。
14.根据权利要求13所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:基于发动机进气歧管内的压力和发动机速度来估计扭矩脉冲。
15.根据权利要求12所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:基于曲轴扭矩和模态响应之间的预定关系来预测每个扭矩脉冲的模态响应。
16.根据权利要求12所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:对于每个扭矩脉冲,基于车辆的模态特性来预测多个振动模式的模态响应。
17.根据权利要求16所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:对于每个振动模式,基于模态响应和倍数来预测多个方向的振动幅度。
18.根据权利要求17所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:通过将所有振动模式的对应振动幅度相加来确定每个方向的总振动。
19.根据权利要求11所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:
预测与多个点火序列选项相对应的车辆模态响应;以及
基于车辆的预测模态响应来选择点火序列选项中的一个。
20.根据权利要求19所述的在发动机气缸停用时控制发动机点火序列以减少振动的方法,还包括:
确定先前点火序列的第一模态响应 ;
预测每个点火序列选项的第二模态响应;
基于第一模态响应和对应第二模态响应来确定每个点火序列选项的总模态响应;以及
基于总模态响应来选择点火序列选项中的一个。
