Abstract

一种把金属线材或带材从热浸镀槽中垂直引拉出并使其通过一对耐火材料拭擦垫的方法和设备。在拭擦垫之间通过的线材或带材直接进入盛有冷却液体的箱室中,该箱室支撑在拭擦垫上方,至少其一部份箱底由拭擦垫构成。箱室有冷却液的进口装置和出口装置,并有一面可拆卸的壁,以便箱室的快速排液,并能在箱室内进行更换擦垫和/或把线材重新穿引的操作。

Description

本发明涉及冷却线材、带材或其它有连续长度的材料(以下简称“线材”)上的涂层的设备和方法,这些材料经过热浸镀或其它涂覆后,在其加工前必须进行冷却。
线材和带材的抗腐蚀性能,常常通过用热浸镀工艺,在其表面涂覆金属涂层(如用锌、铝或其合金),而予以提高。需要的保护作用的程度,与涂层的厚度有关。如果腐蚀情况不严重,那么就只需要用薄涂层,如澳大利标准说明书AS1650B类中所述。这种涂层的产生,可以把线材或带材在熔化金属浴槽中拉过,然后用弹性耐火材料制造的软垫、块体或类似的拭擦元件(以下简称“擦垫”),诸如石棉垫或硅酸铝垫等,拭擦已涂层线材的表面。
引拉操作的方式可以是这样的:即线材沿与熔化金属浴槽表面小角度倾斜方向引拉,即被称为“斜式引拉”法的,或者与表面垂直引拉。斜式引拉法是最常用的技术,因为有可能用一组喷水嘴和固定堤堰处理冷却水,并产生平滑、光亮的涂层。但是,这种技术的缺点是,限制了操作者对熔化金属浴槽出口端的接近。操作者需要在安放涂后的热线材和冷却喷嘴的平台上,把新线材头穿引、或作调节,或在浴槽旁边艰难地操作。当用垂直引拉、再用气体拭擦的方法在同一浴槽中与用擦垫拭生产薄层线材同时进行而生产厚涂层线材其困难更为加剧。
通过把擦垫靠紧线材并用适当的框架把擦垫固定以在线材沿垂直方向通过时将多余的熔化金属擦去,这种涂层方法受到现有技术的限制,因为不能在靠近擦垫的位置将冷却水供给和排出。适合市场供应的涂层 线材,可以利用分别的冷却水喷嘴或水轮生产,但是由于受空间的限制,不能满意地把冷却水送到擦垫附近,结果便不能获得非常光亮的均匀涂层。
使用灌水管其不利之处,在于不易将线头穿引,而且冷却水在管中通过以后,排水十分繁琐。
本发明包括一种设备,拭擦从液态涂料浴槽中出来、向上通过的线材或带材,该设备包括一对拭擦垫、拭擦块或类似的拭擦元件,线材或带材从液态涂料浴槽中出来并从两个拭擦元件中间通过;一个具有侧壁和底部用于盛放冷却液体的箱室,箱室从拭擦垫向上伸展,该拭擦垫至少形成箱室底的一部份;有进口装置和出口装置,分别把冷却液放入或排出箱室,箱室一面侧壁的至少一部份可以和底部分离,以便将冷却液从箱室中排出。
本发明还包括一种线材或带材薄涂层的方法,该方法包括把线材或带材从液态涂料中向上移出并在一对拭擦垫、拭擦块或类似拭擦元件中间通过,同时把擦垫向着线材或带材推压,紧接着使线材或带材从盛有冷却液的箱室中通过,该箱室支撑在拭擦垫的上方,至少其一部份箱底由试擦垫构成,并使一股冷却液连续地从所述箱室中通过。
本发明又包括在上述线材或带材涂层设备中穿引线材或带材的方法,包括如下步骤:
1)关闭进口装置以防止冷却液流入箱室;
2)将前述的侧壁和底部分开或将其取去以排出箱室中的冷却液;
3)把两拭擦垫分开;
4)把从液态涂层浴槽中通过的线材或带材放在擦垫之间;
5)把拭擦垫一起向线材或带材推压;
6)把侧壁在底部上放回或关闭;
7)开启进口装置,在箱室中注入冷却液。
根据本发明的结构,可以在拭擦线材以后立即作有效的冷却,这样可使涂层光亮而均匀。根据本发明的结构还有另一个优点,就是具有这种构造的设备易于把线头穿进设备,而且更换的拭擦垫也易于安装。
在本发明的优选实施方案中,有若干条线材从若干箱室中的一个中通过,各箱室中都盛有冷却液。这种结构使线材之间的距离紧凑,这是过去所不能做到的。根据本发明该结构的另一个优点是整个设备,包括拭擦垫和箱室,可以从液态涂层料浴槽上卸下。这样可便于把浴槽转用于其它拭擦系统,例如气体拭擦等。
本发明主要是用于通过热浸镀技术在金属线材上涂覆锌或铝或其合金的涂层。但也可用于其它技术,例如用热浸涂技术在线材或其它金属带材上涂覆薄热塑性涂层。
拭擦垫最好用硬质耐磨损拭擦垫材料制成,例如石棉或一种硅铝酸盐材料,或一个含有耐火纤维的复合材料。最好把拭擦垫材料压成要求的拭擦垫形状。拭擦垫的压缩度,以及其相应的进一步可压度,应该参照拭擦线材的直径而作调节。拭擦垫需要有足够的可压缩性,当把拭擦垫推向线材时,拭擦垫应有足够的变形,以能够在整个线材圆周周围均匀地拭擦。拭擦垫的可压缩性的重要性,是不但保证镀层在线材上分布均匀,而且可以防止冷却液从直接处于擦垫上方的箱室漏入金属涂层浴槽中。
最好将拭擦垫安装在夹板内,可以把夹板作互相接近和互相远离的移动。可利用夹板的活动来控制拭擦垫对线材的压力,并且当拭擦垫磨损后便于定期更换。夹板的活动可以用螺纹压头控制,或用电动或液动压头控制。压头的力可以直接加在夹板上,或通过弹簧加力。
盛放冷却液的箱室由竖立的侧壁和底部形成,至少一部份箱底是由拭擦垫组成的。至少一面侧壁可以拆卸,使冷却液可以从箱室中迅速排出,如需要重新穿引线材便可有所便利。可以看出:从擦垫之间通过的 线材是被直接拉进冷却液容器里去的。线材的这种直接而迅速的冷却使涂层上只有最低限度的氧化物形成,因此可以保持涂层的光亮。
容器上有冷却液的进口和出口装置,一般最好使用水,或用一种钝化盐的水溶液作冷却液。进口最好用喷嘴或喷流将冷却液的流向垂直于线材运动的方向,最好对着线材从拭擦垫之间出现的地方。供入的冷却液的流动方向,最好开始时基本上与线材运动方向相反。在冷却液到达容器的底部时,最好调头向上,和线材运动方向一致。出口装置可以是一个孔眼,冷却液通过孔眼流动,也可以是一个导流堰,则从堰上流过。冷却液排放孔可以位于活动壁上,也可以在固定壁上。在另一个实施方案中可以用泵把冷却液从箱室中排出。
箱室有一个可拆卸的导流堰,拆卸后便于箱室迅速排液。当穿引线材或更换拭擦垫时,不让大量的水或其它冷却液进入热镀液浴槽显然是所希望的。容器上设置一面可拆卸的壁,可以把水或其它冷却液迅速排入收集盘或收集槽道。在本发明的一个特别优选的实施方案中,可拆卸壁的上缘是起出口装置作用的导流堰,对从箱室排出的全部冷却液体作引导,使之从同一个排液系统中排出。
已经通过容器的冷却液可以作废料排放,如有经济意义的话便可将其收集、冷却并再循环。
利用可拆卸的侧壁作导流堰,可以使安两拭擦垫的拭擦处易于让操作者接近。此外,因为冷却箱室不永远固定围绕住线材、那么就可以不必把线材切断而把整根的线材从设备中取出或放入。在把可拆卸侧壁拆卸后,用于推动拭擦垫的活动顶块便可从滑轨中取出,便于无障碍地在设备中操作。
以下文字只作举例,是本发明的一个优选实施方案,叙述中提引附图,附图内容简介如下:
图1是根据本发明提出的,沿设备纵向轴线的垂直剖视图;
图2是图1中设备的顶视图。
自熔化金属浴槽2中在基本垂直的方向上向上拉出并夹在弹性耐火材料拭擦垫3中,然后被向上直接引入冷却箱4中。线材通过冷却箱向上运动,把线材的温度降低到涂层的熔点以下。
为了用擦垫3实现拭擦动作,用四角螺丝套6上的手柄或手轮转动螺纹轴5,这样就使螺纹轴通过带螺纹的固定块7被向前推动。力通过滑动块8传到擦垫3上。滑块8有边侧导向器(图中未示)限制它作垂直运动。
冷却箱有一面可拆卸的侧壁9形成导流堰。侧壁9可以在不拆散整个设备的情况下拆卸。侧壁9可以把它的下端放在滑块8上的凹槽10内定位,或把它的下端压在滑块8和擦垫3之间定位。侧壁9用非弹性材料制造,有准确的形状,以利插入在侧壁11之间的开口中。
另外,侧壁9也可以用可膨胀材料或复合材料制造,插入后依靠与侧壁11之间的摩擦力夹定。需要把侧壁9定位,使其下端贴靠滑块8,形成冷却箱的内腔。冷却箱由活动壁9,两固定壁11和后壁12形成。箱室的底部由滑块8和拭擦垫3密封。冷却水或溶液一般按向下流动的方向,通过进口13供入,在箱室底部处调头向上流动,在可拆卸侧壁9的上方排出。排水沿侧壁9的表面向下流动,从滑块8上面流过,落入收集盘14,从收集盘被导入一个排泄口或再循环系统。

Claims (10)

1、一种线材或带材涂层的方法,包括把线材或带材从液态金属或合金涂料浴槽中向上移出并在一对拭擦垫、拭擦块或类似拭擦元件中间通过,而同时将两拭擦垫向着线材或带材推压,其特征在于把线材或带材紧接着从盛有冷却液的箱室中通过,该冷却箱支撑在拭擦垫的上方,至少其一部份箱底由拭擦垫构成,并使一股冷却液连续地由进口装置通过上述冷却箱而流向出口装置。
2、根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于线材或带材与浴槽基本垂直地向上移动,并从箱室中通过。
3、根据权利要求1或2所述的方法,其特征在于把冷却液引入箱室的流动方向与线材或带材通过箱室的运动方向垂直。
4、一种使用权利要求1所述方法的设备,包括一对拭擦垫、拭擦块或类似的拭擦元件,线材或带材从液态涂料浴槽中出来并从两个拭擦元件中间通过,其特征在于还包括一个具有侧壁和底部的盛放冷却液用的箱室,箱室从拭擦垫向上伸展,拭擦垫至少组成箱室底的一部份;包括进口装置和出口装置,分别把冷却液引入箱室和从箱室中排出;箱室一面侧壁的至少一部份可以和箱室底部分离,以将冷却液从箱室中排出。
5、根据权利要求4所述的设备,其特征在于上述一面侧壁的至少一部份可以从箱室上完全拆卸掉。
6、根据权利要求5所述的设备,其特征在于可拆卸侧壁由非弹性材料制成,其下端与一个滑动块相接以固定位置,滑动块用于推动擦垫,使之与线材或带材密切接触。
7、根据权利要求5所述的设备,其特征在于可拆卸侧壁由可膨胀材料制成,和箱室的不能拆卸的壁作摩擦连接,以固定其位置。
8、根据权利要求4至7中任何一项所述的设备,其特征在于可拆卸壁的上缘起导流堰的作用,形成冷却液的出口装置。
9、根据权利要求4至7中任何一项所述的设备,其特征在于设有冷却液排出装置,接受设备上由箱室通过出口装置排出的冷却液和通过把上述侧壁从底部分离或拆卸而排出的冷却液,并将之排出。
10、根据权利要求8所述的设备,其特征在于设有冷却液排出装置,接受设备上由箱室通过出口装置排出的冷却液和通过把上述侧壁从底部分离或拆卸而排出的冷却液,并将之排出。
