Abstract
一种改善了水分阻挡性的可生物降解树脂组合物以及使用该树脂组合物所形成的成型体。树脂组合物含有可生物降解聚酯树脂100质量份、荷荷芭油和/或极性蜡0.1~15质量份。可生物降解聚酯树脂可含有由来源于植物的原料所制得的树脂50质量%以上。作为由来源于植物的原料所制得的树脂,可使用聚乳酸。

技术领域
本发明涉及可生物降解树脂组合物以及由其制得的成型体。
背景技术
近年来,以聚乳酸为代表的可生物降解树脂从环保角度日益受到重视。在可生物降解树脂中,聚乳酸的透明性良好,并且是耐热性最高的树脂之一,而且可以从来源于玉米、红薯等植物的原料大量生产,因此除了成本低以外对消减石油原料的消耗也有贡献,为此实用性高。但是,可生物降解树脂还尚未能满足作为必需对气体和水分等的阻挡性的容器或包装材料。
作为提高可生物降解树脂的气体阻挡性能的方法,在JP-A-2002-338796中记载了向可生物降解树脂中添加用特定的铵根离子进行有机化处理后的层状硅酸盐的方法。在该文献中作为其添加的结果,公开了树脂的强度、气体阻挡性等提高。在JP-A-2002-068201中公开了使用化学气相法将氧化硅等金属氧化物涂布于可生物降解塑料上的方法。但是,任何一种方法虽然在气体阻挡性方面是优良的,但是从对环境的考虑或来源于植物的程度的角度出发,还不能说是充分的。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的在于提供一种改善了水分阻挡性的可生物降解树脂。
本发明人发现通过向可生物降解聚酯树脂中添加荷荷芭油和/或极性蜡可改善所述树脂的阻挡性,基于该发现实现了本发明。
本发明的要点如下。
(1)一种可生物降解树脂组合物,含有可生物降解聚酯树脂100质量份、荷荷芭油和/或极性蜡0.1~15质量份。
(2)上述(1)中的可生物降解树脂组合物,其中,可生物降解聚酯树脂含有由来源于植物的原料制得的树脂50质量%以上。
(3)上述(2)中的可生物降解树脂组合物,其中,由来源于植物的原料制得的树脂为聚乳酸。
(4)一种成型体,使用上述(1)~(3)中任一项所述的可生物降解树脂组合物而形成。
根据本发明,通过含有可生物降解聚酯树脂100质量份、荷荷芭油和/或极性蜡0.1~15质量份,可提供水分阻挡性优良的可生物降解树脂组合物。由该树脂组合物制得的成型体在废弃时可堆肥化,并且可以实现废弃物的减量化或作为肥料的再利用。作为可生物降解聚酯树脂,如使用来源于植物的原料制得的树脂,则作为树脂组合物整体,来源于植物的材料比例增高,对于防止石油资源的枯竭做出贡献并且成为对环境而言温和的材料。
具体实施方式
作为本发明的树脂组合物中的可生物降解聚酯树脂,可列举以α-和/或β-羟基羧酸单元为主要成分的脂肪族聚酯、由脂肪族二羧酸成分和脂肪族二醇成分制得的聚酯等。
作为α-和/或β-羟基羧酸单元的例子,可列举D-乳酸、L-乳酸、或者它们的混合物;乙醇酸、3-羟基丁酸、3-羟基戊酸、3-羟基己酸等以及它们的混合物、共聚物。特别优选D-乳酸、L-乳酸。
作为脂肪族羧酸的例子,可列举草酸、丙二酸、琥珀酸、己二酸、壬二酸、辛二酸、癸二酸、十一烷二酸、十二烷二酸、二十烷二酸、加氢二聚酸等饱和脂肪族二羧酸;富马酸、马来酸、衣康酸、甲基富马酸、柠康酸、二聚酸等不饱和脂肪族二羧酸及作为其衍生物的低级烷基酯化合物、酸酐。并且,还可以含有1,4-环己烷二甲酸、1,3-环己烷二甲酸、1,2-环己烷二甲酸、2,5-降冰片烯二甲酸、四氢邻苯二甲酸等脂环族二羧酸。其中,从可生物降解的方面出发,优选己二酸、琥珀酸、琥珀酸酐、己二酸、癸二酸,特别优选琥珀酸、己二酸。
作为脂肪族二醇,可列举乙二醇、1,2-丙二醇、1,3-丙二醇、1,2-丁二醇、1,3-丁二醇、1,4-丁二醇、2-甲基-1,3-丙二醇、2,2-二乙基-1,3-丙二醇、2-氨基-2-乙基-1,3-丙二醇、2-氨基-2-甲基-1,3-丙二醇、2-乙基-2-甲基-1,3-丙二醇、2-丁基-2-乙基-1,3-丙二醇、新戊二醇、3-甲基-1,5-戊二醇、1,5-戊二醇、1,6-己二醇、1,7-庚二醇、1,8-辛二醇、1,9-壬二醇、1,10-癸二醇、1,11-十一烷二醇、1,12-十二烷二醇、1,13-十三烷二醇、1,14-十四烷二醇、1,15-十五烷二醇、1,16-十六烷二醇、1,17-十七烷二醇、1,18-十八烷二醇、1,19-十九烷二醇、1,20-二十烷二醇、二乙二醇、三乙二醇、二丙二醇、三丙二醇等脂肪族二元醇;1,2-环己烷二甲醇、1,3-环己烷二甲醇、1,4-环己烷二甲醇等脂环族二元醇;聚乙二醇;聚丙二醇;聚丁二醇等。特别优选乙二醇、1,4-丁二醇、1,6-己二醇。
在不损害可生物降解的范围内,聚酯树脂中还可以共聚有对苯二甲酸、间苯二甲酸等芳香族二羧酸,这样的共聚合聚酯也可包括在本发明所述的可生物降解聚酯树脂中。
作为可生物降解聚酯树脂的具体例,除了聚(D-乳酸)、聚(L-乳酸)之外,可列举以聚(丁二酸乙二醇酯)、聚(丁二酸丁二醇酯)、聚(丁二酸丁二醇酯-共-己二酸丁二醇酯)等为代表的二醇与二羧酸形成的脂肪族聚酯;聚乙醇酸、聚(3-羟基丁酸)、聚(3-羟基戊酸)、聚(3-羟基己酸)等聚羟基羧酸;以聚(ε-己内酯)、聚(δ-戊内酯)为代表的聚(ω-羟基链烷酸酯);聚(丁二酸丁二醇酯-共-对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯)、聚(己二酸丁二醇酯-共-对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯)等含有芳香族成分的聚酯树脂;聚酯酰胺;聚酯碳酸酯;淀粉等多糖类等。这些成分可以使用一种也可以使用两种以上,还可以混合,或者共聚合。
聚乳酸中的L-乳酸、D-乳酸的含有比例没有特别限定,作为市售的聚乳酸,一般情况是在(L-乳酸/D-乳酸)=80/20~99.8/0.2(摩尔比)的范围,可良好地使用。聚乳酸还可以形成立体络合物。
作为可生物降解聚酯树脂,如使用含有由来源于植物的原料制得的树脂50质量%以上的树脂,则由于来源于植物程度高,缩减使用石油资源的效果增高,因此优选。更优选含有由来源于植物的原料制得的树脂60质量%以上,进一步优选含有80质量%以上。作为由来源于植物的原料制得的聚酯树脂,除了聚乳酸之外,还可列举聚(丁二酸丁二醇酯)等。作为由来源于植物的原料制得的树脂,如使用聚乳酸,则成形性、透明性、耐热性提高,因此特别优选。
可生物降解聚酯树脂利用公知的熔融聚合法、或根据需要进而合用固相聚合法来制造。聚(3-羟基丁酸)和聚(3-羟基戊酸)等也可以利用微生物来生产。
本发明所使用的可生物降解聚酯树脂,即使部分交联也没有关系,还可以用环氧化合物等进行修饰。
为了提高可生物降解聚酯树脂的耐久性,可以添加封端剂来将树脂的末端封闭。作为该封端剂,可列举碳二亚胺化合物、唑啉化合物、环氧化合物、异氰酸酯化合物等。封端剂的添加量没有特别限制,优选相对于树脂100质量份,为0.1~5质量份。
可生物降解聚酯树脂的分子量没有特别限定,只要作为其指标的在190℃、20.2N(2.16kg)下的熔体流动速率(MFR)在0.1~50g/10分钟的范围,就可以优选使用。更优选在0.2~40g/10分钟的范围。
本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物除了可生物降解聚酯树脂之外,含有荷荷芭油和/或极性蜡。
这里所说的荷荷芭油是指由天然的荷荷巴(学名:SimmondasiaChinensis)的种子经压榨、蒸馏等提取的酯,由高级不饱和脂肪酸和高级不饱和醇构成。荷荷巴是野生在美国西南部(亚利桑那州、加利福尼亚州)以及墨西哥北部(索诺拉(Sonora)、下加利福尼亚地带(BajaCalifornia))的干燥地带的常绿灌木,为雌雄异株,树高为60cm~180cm,其中有的可达3m,现在除了美国、墨西哥之外,也在以色列、澳大利亚、阿根廷等干燥地带栽培。
本发明中使用的荷荷芭油的具体例有:如上所述将种子压榨后直接使用的粗制荷荷芭油;经分子蒸馏提纯的提纯荷荷芭油;提纯荷荷芭油经过加氢后的成为固体的加氢荷荷芭油;荷荷巴醇;荷荷巴乳(Jojobacream)等,只要是可以向树脂中混合则任意一种都可以。
由于荷荷芭油不与水混溶,因此适用于提高水蒸汽阻挡性。并且,由于其沸点高达420℃,因此即使混合于必需在高温下进行熔融混炼的树脂,也稳定存在。
本发明所使用的极性蜡可以是天然蜡、合成蜡中的任何一种。作为天然蜡,可列举石油蜡、褐煤蜡、动物蜡、植物蜡等。
作为石油蜡,只要是除了石蜡、微晶石蜡等具有饱和脂肪族烃为主结构的无极性蜡以外的蜡即可,例如将它们经氧化反应改性为醇型蜡等则可以使其具有极性。褐煤蜡只要是具备了具有极性的结构的蜡即可,例如经酯化、部分皂化可赋予极性。植物蜡可列举巴西棕榈蜡、米糠蜡、小烛树蜡这种含有高级脂肪酸与高级醇的酯的混合物的蜡等。作为合成蜡,可列举脂肪酸、脂肪酸酯、脂肪酰胺等。例如,可以是蓖麻油、硬化蓖麻油、癸二酸的酯化物、12-羟基硬脂酸及其酯化物或酰胺化合物或皂化物等。
这些蜡,由于具有极性,因此在与可生物降解聚酯树脂混合时,具有能够维持树脂的半透明性,并且所述树脂的外观优良的效果。该效果在使用聚乳酸作为可降解聚酯树脂时显著。
蜡由于不与水混溶,因此适用于提高可生物降解树脂组合物的水分阻挡性。并且,沸点全都高,因此稳定性良好,所以即使混合于一般必需在高温下进行熔融混炼的树脂,也可稳定地存在。
在本发明中,可以分别单独使用荷荷芭油和极性蜡,也可以两者并用。在任何一种情况下,其配合量相对于可生物降解聚酯树脂100质量份,为0.1~15质量份是必需的。优选为0.5~10质量份,更优选为0.5~8质量份。当不足0.1质量份时,不能获得作为本发明目的的水分阻挡性,当超过15质量份时,产生基材树脂的物性降低、成形不良、混炼不良等。
在制备本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物时,作为荷荷芭油或极性蜡的添加方法,可列举在聚合可生物降解聚酯树脂时添加的方法;在熔融混炼所述树脂时添加的方法;在使用了所述树脂的成型品进行成形时添加的方法等。
此时,也可以使用将荷荷芭油或极性蜡预先调整至高浓度的粒料进行添加的方法,即,所谓的母炼胶法。作为添加时期,优选在熔融混炼时或者成形时。作为在熔融混炼时或者成形时进行添加的添加方法,可列举预先与树脂进行干混合后供给一般的混炼机或成型机的方法、利用侧面加料器从混炼中途添加的方法等。
在不损害本发明的效果的范围内,可以向本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物中添加本发明规定以外的热稳定剂、抗氧化剂、耐光剂、颜料、耐候剂、阻燃剂、增塑剂、润滑剂、脱模剂、防静电剂、填充材料、分散剂等。
作为热稳定剂和抗氧化剂,可以使用例如亚磷酸酯类有机化合物、受阻酚类化合物、苯并三唑类化合物、三嗪类化合物、受阻胺类化合物、硫化合物、铜化合物、碱金属的卤化物或者它们的混合物。这些添加剂一般在熔融混炼时或者聚合时添加。
作为填充材料,有无机填充材料和有机填充材料。作为无机填充材料,可举出滑石、碳酸钙、碳酸锌、硅灰石、硅石、氧化铝、氧化镁、硅酸钙、铝酸钠、铝酸钙、铝硅酸钠、硅酸镁、玻璃球、炭黑、氧化锌、三氧化锑、沸石、水滑石、金属纤维、金属晶须、陶瓷晶须、钛酸钾、氮化硼、石墨、玻璃纤维、碳纤维等。作为有机填充材料,可举出淀粉、纤维素微粒、木粉、豆腐渣、稻谷壳、麦糠、洋麻等天然存在的聚合物或它们的改性制品。
在不损害本发明的效果的范围内,还可以向本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物中添加聚酰胺(尼龙)、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚丁二烯、聚苯乙烯、AS树脂、ABS树脂、聚(丙烯酸)、聚(丙烯酸酯)、聚(甲基丙烯酸)、聚(甲基丙烯酸酯)、聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚对苯二甲酸丙二醇酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯、聚萘二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚碳酸酯、聚芳酯以及它们的共聚物等非可生物降解树脂。
本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物进行熔融混炼时,可以使用单轴挤压机、双轴挤压机、辊混炼机、Brabender等一般的混炼机。其中,为了提高荷荷芭油、极性蜡、其他添加剂的分散性,优选使用双轴挤压机。
经注射成型、吹塑成型、挤压成型等公知的成型方法,可以将本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物制成各种成型体。
作为注射成型法,除普通的注射成型法外,还可以使用气体注射成型法、注射加压成型法等。注射成型时的料筒温度必须为可生物降解聚酯树脂的熔点(Tm)或流动开始温度以上,优选为180~230℃的范围,进一步优选190~220℃的范围。如果成型温度过低,则树脂的流动性降低,由此容易陷入成型不良或者装置超负荷。相反地,如果成型温度过高,则可生物降解聚酯树脂分解,容易产生成型体强度降低、着色等问题。另一方面,使模具温度为可生物降解树脂组合物的玻璃化转变温度(Tg)以下时,优选(Tg-10℃)以下。为了促进以提高所得到的成型体的刚性或耐热性为目的的结晶化,也可以将模具温度设定在Tg以上并且(Tm-30℃)以下。
作为吹塑成型法,可举出例如从原料片直接进行成型的直接吹塑法;首先通过注射成型而成型为预成型体(有底的型坯)后进行吹塑成型的注射吹塑成型法、拉伸吹塑成型法等。另外,也可以采用预成型体成型后连续进行吹塑成型的热型坯法;暂时将预成型体冷却从成型装置取出后再次加热来进行吹塑成型的冷型坯法等中的任一方法。
作为挤压成型法,可以应用T口模法、圆口模法等。挤压成型温度必须为原料可生物降解聚酯树脂的Tm或流动开始温度以上,优选为180~230℃的范围,进一步优选190~220℃的范围。如果成型温度过低,则操作容易变得不稳定,或容易陷入超负荷。相反地,如果成型温度过高,则可生物降解聚酯树脂成分分解,挤压成型体容易产生强度降低、着色等问题。通过挤压成型可以制作片材和管材等。
作为通过挤压成型法得到的片材或管材的具体用途,可举出深冲成型用未加工片材(原反シ一ト)、间歇式发泡用未加工片材、信用卡等卡类、垫、透明文件夹、吸管、农业·园艺用硬管等。并且,通过进一步对片材进行真空成型、加压成型或真空加压成型等深冲成型,可以制造食品用容器、农业·园艺用容器、吸塑包装(blisterpack)容器、泡罩包装容器等。深冲成型温度和热处理温度优选为(Tg+20℃)~(Tg+100℃)。深冲温度小于(Tg+20℃)时,有时深冲变得困难。相反地,深冲温度超过(Tg+100℃)时,有时可生物降解聚酯树脂分解而导致壁厚不均,或者所述树脂的取向杂乱而使耐冲击性降低。食品用容器、农业·园艺用容器、吸塑包装容器、泡罩包装容器的形态没有特殊限制,但为了盛装食品、物品、药品等,优选深冲成深度2mm以上。容器的厚度没有特殊限定,但从强度的角度出发,优选厚度为50μm以上,更优选为150~500μm。作为食品用容器的具体例,可举出生鲜食品的托盘、方便食品容器、快餐食品容器、盒饭箱等。作为农业·园艺用容器的具体例,可举出育苗瓶等。作为吸塑包装容器的具体例,可列举食品的包装容器,除此之外,还可以举出办公用品、玩具、干电池等多种多样的商品的包装容器。
作为使用本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物制备的其他的成型品,可举出盘、碗、钵、筷子、勺子、叉、刀等餐具;流体用容器;容器用盖;尺、文具、文具盒、CD盒等办公用品;厨房用三角架、垃圾箱、洗脸盆、牙刷、梳子、衣架等日用品;花盆、育苗瓶等农业·园艺用的材料;塑料模型等各种玩具类;空调面板、各种外壳等的电器制品用树脂部件;缓冲器、仪表盘、门内饰等汽车用树脂部件等。流体用容器的形态没有特殊限制,但为了盛装流体而优选成型至深度20mm以上。容器的厚度没有特殊限制,但从强度的方面出发,优选厚度为0.1mm以上,更优选为0.1~5mm。作为流体用容器的具体例,可举出乳制品、清凉饮料水、酒类等的饮料用杯和饮料用瓶;酱油、调味汁、蛋黄酱、番茄酱、食用油等调味品的暂时保存容器;洗发剂·护发素等的容器;化妆品用容器;农药用容器等。
本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物也可以制成纤维。纤维的制作方法没有特殊限制,但优选将树脂组合物熔融纺丝后拉伸的方法。熔融纺丝的温度优选为160℃~260℃。当低于160℃时,有熔融挤压变难的倾向,另一方面,如果超过260℃,则树脂组合物的分解变得显著,有难以得到高强度纤维的倾向。对熔融纺丝得到的纤维丝条进行拉伸使之成为目标纤维径的温度,优选在Tg以上。
通过上述方法得到的纤维可以作为构成衣料用纤维、工业材料用纤维、短纤维无纺布的纤维等来利用。
本发明的可生物降解树脂组合物还可以延展为长纤维无纺布。作为其制作方法并无特别限制,可以列举将树脂组合物以高速纺丝法制成纤维,将该纤维堆积后经纱(web)化,进而用热压粘合等方法进行织物化的方法等。

以下,根据实施例更加具体的说明本发明。但是,本发明不仅限定于下述实施例。
[原料]
在下述实施例、比较例中使用的各种原料如下。
(1)可生物降解聚酯树脂
树脂A:聚乳酸(由CargillDow公司制造,商品名:Nature Works4032D,(L-乳酸/D-乳酸)=98.6/1.4(摩尔比),重均分子量:190,000、熔点170℃,MFR:5g/10分钟(190℃,荷重20.2N))
树脂B:对苯二甲酸/己二酸/1,4-丁二醇共聚物(由BASF公司制造,商品名:Ecoflex,熔点108℃,MFR 5g/10分钟(190℃,荷重20.2N))(2)荷荷芭油
C:提纯荷荷芭油(由香荣兴业公司制造)

[物性值的测定方法]
利用树脂组合物形成的成型体的物性值如下进行测定。
(1)水分阻挡性:
使用树脂组合物,制备可以盖上螺旋盖的瓶容器,使用该瓶容器测定水分阻挡性。详细而言,将水填充容器后用螺旋盖盖严,保管在50℃的恒温槽中,通过随着时间测定其重量来检查保存水减少率。在实际应用时,优选保存水减少率经过340小时后为2质量%以下。
(2)雾度:
根据JIS标准K-7136,对厚度1mm的压板进行测定。详细而言,使用TESTER SANGYO公司制造的台式测试加压机(Tabletop TestPress),在190℃对可生物降解树脂组合物进行约3分钟的挤压,制作作为成型体的厚度1mm的压板。使用日本电色工业公司制造的型号:NDH-2000的浊度·雾度计对该压板进行测定。实际应用时,优选雾度在25%以下的。
[实施例1]
将100质量份的树脂A和0.5质量份的提纯荷荷芭油C进行干混合,使用池贝公司制造的型号:PCM-30双轴挤压机(螺杆径30mmφ,平均槽深度2.5mm),在190℃、螺杆转速200rpm(=3.3rps)、滞留时间1.6分钟下进行熔融混炼,挤压,加工成粒状,干燥,得到树脂组合物。
然后,用注射吹塑成型机(由日精ASB机械公司制造,型号:ASB-50TH),在料筒设定温度200℃下将得到的树脂组合物熔融,填充于10℃的模具内,冷却10秒钟,得到厚度5mm的预成型体(有底的型坯)。将该预成型体用120℃的电加热器进行加热后,装入设定在25℃的模具内,用3.5MPa的加压空气进行吹塑成型,由此制得内部容积150毫升,厚度1.1mm的瓶容器。
使用得到的瓶容器测定水分阻挡性。其测定结果表示于表1。

[实施例2~6]
如表1所示,与实施例1相比,改变树脂与荷荷芭油的配合量以及种类。然后,除此以外与实施例1同样制作树脂组合物,成型容器后测定其物性。将其结果表示于表1。另外,在实施例6中,将树脂A和树脂B以及提纯荷荷芭油C经过干混合后供给双轴挤压机。
[比较例1、2]
不添加荷荷芭油,将树脂A(比较例1)、树脂A以及树脂B(比较例2)进行吹塑成型得到容器。在比较例2中,将树脂A和树脂B进行干混合后供给双轴挤压机。将对得到的容器测定出的水分阻挡性即保存水减少率的结果表示于表1。
实施例1~6的树脂组合物,与可生物降解树脂组合物的组成相同但未添加荷荷芭油的比较例1、2相比,吹塑瓶的保存水减少率都降低,水分阻挡性优良。
[实施例7]
使用0.5质量份的极性蜡E代替实施例1的荷荷芭油与树脂A进行干混合。然后,除此之外和实施例1相同得到树脂组合物。然后,使用得到的树脂组合物制作瓶容器,测定水分阻挡性。并且,如上述由树脂组合物制作厚度1mm的压板,测定雾度。其结果表示于表2。

[实施例8~12]
如表2所示,相比于实施例7改变蜡的种类以及添加量。然后,除此以外与实施例7同样制作树脂组合物,测定容器的水分阻挡性。并且测定片材的雾度。将其结果表示于表2。
[比较例3]
相比于实施例7,不添加蜡而仅使用树脂A来进行吹塑成型得到容器。然后,使用该容器测定水分阻挡性。并且,测定片材的雾度。将其结果表示于表2。
[比较例4]
使用非极性蜡I代替实施例7的极性蜡E。然后,除此以外与实施例7同样制作树脂组合物,测定容器的水分阻挡性。并且,测定片材的雾度。将其结果表示于表2。
实施例7~12的树脂组合物与未添加极性蜡的比较例3进行比较,瓶容器中的保存水减少率都降低,水分阻挡性优良。并且,与添加了非极性蜡的比较例4相比,雾度值低,透明性优良。
Claims (4)
1.一种可生物降解树脂组合物,含有可生物降解聚酯树脂100质量份、荷荷芭油和/或极性蜡0.1~15质量份。
2.根据权利要求1所述的可生物降解树脂组合物,其中,可生物降解聚酯树脂含有由来源于植物的原料制得的树脂50质量%以上。
3.根据权利要求2所述的可生物降解树脂组合物,其中,由来源于植物的原料制得的树脂为聚乳酸。
4.一种成型体,使用权利要求1~3中任一项所述的可生物降解树脂组合物而形成。
