Process for the production of a nitrogen-containing condensation product. It has been found that a nitrogen-containing condensation product can be obtained by referring to the product of the formula
EMI0001.0002
allows condensing agents to act. The condensation product obtained is an olive-brown powder which dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with an olive-brown color, does not melt until 460 'and dyes cotton from a red-brown vat in somewhat yellowish-brown olive shades of good fastness.
As a condensing agent, for example, acidic condensing agents, such as. B. Halo genide organic acids, sulfuric acid or halosulfonic acid can be used. The action of these condensing agents can take place at higher temperatures in the presence of solvents or diluents. As a condensing agent, the halides of carbonic acids such. B. acetyl chloride or benzoyl chloride, particularly good.
The product of the above formula used as starting material for the process can be obtained, for example, as follows: 3 parts of dehydrated sodium acetate and 3 parts of calcined soda are boiled with 100 parts of nitrobenzene until 12 parts of nitrobenzene have distilled off.
After cooling to 190 to 2000 (oil bath temperature), 3.6 parts of 3,8-dibromopyrene are obtained by dibrominating pyrene in carbon tetrachloride according to Beriehte 70, p. 930, 6, 5 parts of 1-aminoarithracinone-2-carboxylic acid ethyl ester and 0.3 part of copper chloride were added and the mixture was stirred at this temperature for 20 hours.
After cooling, it is filtered, washed out and boiled with dilute hydrochloric acid to remove copper compounds. A violet-black reaction product is obtained in good yield, which dissolves in the reaction product, concentrated sulfuric acid with a red-violet color, has a melting point above 300 'and is saponified by boiling for 2 hours with dilute alcoholic potash, resulting in a dark powder that corresponds to the formula above.
<I> Example: </I> 1.5 parts of the saponified reaction product of 1 mole of 3,8-dibroinpyrene and 2 moles of 1-aminoantlira.chinon-2-carboxylic acid ethyl ester are mixed with 2l1 parts of nitrobenzene and 2.2 parts of benzoyle chloride initially stirred for 1/2 hour at <B> 110 </B> to 120 ', then kept at the boil for 1 hour. After cooling to <B> 90 '</B>, it is filtered off and the dye is washed out with benzene and alcohol.
