  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen     Kondensationsproduktes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem  neuen Kondensationsprodukt gelangt, wenn  man     Laurinsäure-N-methylol-amid    mit     m-          Benzoesäuresulfochlorid    behandelt.  



  Das neue Kondensationsprodukt stellt  eine fettige     blasse    dar, die von Wasser zu  einer beim Schütteln schäumenden Lösung  aufgenommen wird; diese Lösung wird beim  Kochen oder bei Zusatz schwacher Alkalien  in der Wärme unter Bildung unlöslicher  Produkte zersetzt. Das neue Produkt kann  als     Textilhilfsstoff,    insbesondere zum wasch  echten Weichmachen von Textilien verwen  det werden.    <I>Beispiel:</I>  23 Teile     Laurinsäure-methylol-amid    wer  den in 100     Vol.-Teilen        Pyridin    gelöst. Unter  Rühren werden in kleinen Teilen bei 60 bis  <B>700</B> 27 Teile     m-Benzoesäuresulfochlorid    zu  gegeben.

   Nach einstündigem Rühren bei der  angegebenen Temperatur ist eine Probe der    Reaktionsmasse in Wasser klar löslich. Das       Pyridin    wird im Vakuum     abdestilliert,    wobei  das Reaktionsprodukt als fettige Masse  zurückbleibt, die in mässig warmem, schwach  angesäuertem Wasser unter Bildung stark  schäumender Lösungen klar löslich ist. Beim  Kochen der wässerigen Lösung zersetzt sich  das Produkt nach kurzer Zeit unter Bildung  eines unlöslichen Öls; bei Zusatz schwacher  Alkalien wird die Verbindung in der Wärme  ebenfalls unter Bildung unlöslicher Produkte  momentan gespalten.

  The new condensation product is a greasy pale that is absorbed by water to form a foaming solution when shaken; this solution is decomposed when heated or when weak alkalis are added to form insoluble products. The new product can be used as a textile auxiliary, especially for real-time softening of textiles. <I> Example: </I> 23 parts of lauric acid methylol amide are dissolved in 100 parts by volume of pyridine. With stirring, 27 parts of m-benzoic acid sulfochloride are added in small parts at 60 to 700.

   After stirring for one hour at the specified temperature, a sample of the reaction mass is clearly soluble in water. The pyridine is distilled off in vacuo, the reaction product remaining as a greasy mass which is clearly soluble in moderately warm, slightly acidic water with the formation of strongly foaming solutions. When the aqueous solution is boiled, the product decomposes after a short time to form an insoluble oil; if weak alkalis are added, the compound is also instantaneously split in the heat with the formation of insoluble products.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man Laurinsäure-N-methylol- amid mit m-Benzoesäuresulfochlorid behandelt. Das neue Kondensationsprodukt stellt eine fettige Masse dar, die von Wasser zu einer beim Schütteln schäumenden Lösung aufge nommen wird; diese Lösung wird beim Kochen oder bei Zusatz schwacher Alkalien in der Wärme unter Bildung unlöslicher Produkte zersetzt. Das neue Produkt kann als Textilhilfsstoff, insbesondere zum wasch- echten Weichmachen von Textilien verwen det werden.
